Hiei's Harem - Pt. 15 - Moving

Scene 17 ------------------ A Couple Hours Later


* Following her senses, Sarista had worked her way around the fortress until she finally locates Hiei in a moderately-sized Library or study room of sorts. She pauses in the arched entry and studies him as she waits to be recognized. It is a few moments before Hiei looks toward her from the large, plush loveseat where he’s laying.


Hiei- ‘Ris.


* She moves on into the room, looking around. Hiei sits up to give her room to join him.


Hiei- I thought you’d be resting.

Sarista- The boys are bedded down up in the room I chose.. But I had to come check on you.. I miss you already.


* She sits down in a relaxed position facing him. Hiei just stares at her.


Sarista- If you want to be alone..

Hiei- No.. I’ve been alone for most of my life.. I can admit that I don’t want to return to that existance, now.


* He leans and gives her a deep, but brief kiss. Then he looks away again, too concerned about other matters to give her much more at the moment. Sarista gently begins to run her fingers through his upraised hair.


Sarista- This place will house us all very well.. I’m glad you’ve brought us here.

Hiei- I know you miss the ravine.. You can’t hide your feelings from me like I can.. shield mine from all of you.

Sarista- What’s to hide?

Hiei- You need to go rest.

Sarista- So do you. You’ve got a long journey to start in the morning, Love.

Hiei- My.. quarters are too d--- big.. This whole place is.

Sarista- You’ll get used to it. Just like you got used to all of us.


* Hiei looks at her again.


Hiei- You all have your own rooms?

Sarista- With plenty to spare.


* Hiei grunts and looks away again.


Sarista- You’re always welcome to stay with me.. or one of the others.

Hiei- I wouldn’t want to cause any jealousy.


* Sarista snorts and gives him a playful shove.


Sarista- I’m your Alpha mate.. It’s only right that you share my bed.. You should know by now that none of us.. well, most of us have no problem with sharing you.


* Hiei just shrugs.


Hiei- I guess it’s just this place that’s making me uncomfortable.

Sarista- You’re not shielding yourself from me, now.. Hiei,..


* Hiei leans and draws her mouth to his to silence her with another kiss.


Hiei- I won’t have you stressed out over the s--- I have to deal with. Do you understand me?

Sarista- Will you live the rest of your life shutting us out then?


* Hiei stands and moves away to look out the large bay window toward the setting sun disappearing behind the distant mountain range.


Sarista- Hiei, you won’t be able to hide everything from us. We’re not going to continue being your big secret that you keep hidden away behind a barrier.. We’re your pack..

Hiei- No, ‘Ris..


* He looks back at her.


Hiei- You’re my family.. My mates, my children.. My main priority is to protect all of you above all else.


* Sarista crosses her arms.


Sarista- Then why the h--- did you waste all that time teaching us how to protect ourselves?


* For several moments Hiei just blinks at her. Then he slowly smirks.


Hiei- Perhaps I’ve trained you too well.. Or allowed you to think for yourself too long.

Sarista- Would you have us any other way?


* Hiei dwells on these words a few moments, then slowly shakes his head. Before Sarista can say anything else they feel Dagon approach the arched entry. The Crow bows his head and waits to be recognized. Hiei soon tilts his head to indicate the subordinate.


Hiei- This place is already making some of you act like prisses. See?


* Dagon looks up at them.


Hiei- What do you want, bird?

Dagon- I didn’t mean to disturb..

Hiei- Will you just tell me what you want already?

Dagon- Uh.. Well, I.. I felt that you were still awake.. I thought I’d just check to make sure you’re okay. But I see that you're..

Hiei- I’m fine.. I just have a lot to prepare for.


* Dagon nods.


Dagon- Good night, then. I’ll see you in the morning, sir.

Hiei- You and the cats are coming with me.


* Hiei can tell that the Crow is immediately excited with this news.


Dagon- I’ll let them know. Thank you, sir.


* When Dagon leaves quickly Hiei shakes his head and looks back out the window. Sarista stands to slip out.


Hiei- ‘Ris,..

Sarista- You want to be..


* He moves to her and pulls her against him.


Hiei- Once I get this d---ed ceremony out of my hair.. we’ll have lots of time together.. I’ll make sure of it.


* Sarista looks into his eyes and nods.


Sarista- Hn. Of course we will.


* She allows him to draw her forward for another kiss. She opens wide and makes him well aware of everything that he’ll be keeping himself from tonight. He finally moans and pulls back.


Hiei- D--- temptress.


* He smirks at her and she matches it with one of her own.


Hiei- You go rest and don’t be so concerned about me.. Like I told Dagon, I need to prepare myself for whatever I might face at Alaric.

Sarista- You know that I want to..


* He lifts a finger to her lips silencing her.


Hiei- I’ve already decided about that.


* She pulls the hand down.


Sarista- But I’m not going to leave my boys.


* Hiei grunts.


Sarista- Good night, Darling. I’ll see you in the morning.


* She gives him a parting kiss. Hiei watches her leave, just now noticing the fancy silk kimono she’s clad in. The Koorime nods his brief approval of her better clothing then moves to lay back down on the loveseat. Perhaps it won’t be all that bad here. He fixes his gaze back on the vaulted ceiling high above him. His thoughts return to the uneasy encounter he had earlier, ‘What the h--- are you hiding from me this time, Junior?’ It doesn't really surprise him when Shironji materializes in front of him.


Hiei- Is this about what Koenma wouldn't tell me?

Shironji- It's about your female, sir..

* Hiei growls and leans forward to snarl in the imp's face. Hie last nerve about the subject has just been reached.


Hiei- I don't need to hear it from you, too! I did what I had to..

Shironji- She's been.. brought back to Demon World.


* Hiei falls silent and leans back again. He lowers his eyes and listens quietly to what Shironji has to report.
