Scene 17 ------------- The Next Day/Spirit World
* Kurama wakes up and panics a moment when he feels himself being embraced on both sides. Still unable to see, he sits up quickly waking Shishi and Touya. Both of them look around alertly until they hear Kurama sniffing. Everything comes crashing back to all three almost at once.
Touya- Easy, Ku. It's just Shishi and I.
Shishi- We're in Spirit World, Hun.. Remember?
* Kurama snorts and starts to make his way off of the bed.
Touya- Kurama,..
Kurama- Don't 'Hun' me.. I'm still blind, d--- it!
Shishi- Koenma decided to let you rest.. He said to bring you to his office this morning.
* Kurama pauses on the edge of the bed. Through the bond he senses Suzuka when he enters.
Kurama- And.. what if he can't remove these wards?
* Touya and Shishi look at each other.
Suzuka- Then I'll go hunt down the b------s that set them on us.
* Kurama looks up toward Suzuka as the blonde moves closer to him. Kurama catches the scent of his freshly-washed body.
Kurama- All of you are..?
Touya- Yes. The three of us are warded, also.
* Kurama looks toward where he senses Shishi.
Kurama- Shishi,..?
* Shishi quickly scoots closer to Kurama so the redhead can clutch him.
Kurama- The baby..?
Shishi- It's okay so far. Calm down, Sweetie.
Suzuka- Shower's all yours, imp.
* Shishi glances up at Suzuka then shakes his head and snuggles closer to Kurama.
Shishi- I'm not leaving him.. Touya can take my place.
* Kurama's sightless eyes widen.
Kurama- Did Shishi just turn down a shower?
Touya- Shh, hold on..
* Touya tilts his head listening a moment, then nods with a smirk.
Touya- Yep. H--- just froze over.. I can hear 'em ice skating down there.
Shishi- Then why don't you go join them? Kurama is upset right now. I'm not leaving him like this.
Touya- None of us are going to leave him, Shishi.
Suzuka- I only took my shower because he wasn't up yet.
* Kurama glances around, then lowers his eyes.
Kurama- I won't expect you to stay with me if my blindness is permanent.
Touya- you're talking foolishness.. Your eyes aren't what attracted us to you, Fox.
Suzuka- Enough of this kind of talk. Let's go up to see Koenma now.
* Touya leaves the bed as Suzuka helps Kurama up.
Kurama- Am I.. presentable?
Shishi- We could shower together.. Then Touya and Suze can dress you..
Kurama- Dress me?
Touya- Koenma popped down to your place with me to gather some fresh clothes.
Kurama- D---, how long have I been out?
Suzuka- Since your body hit that bed yesterday.. It's nearly noon now.
Kurama- Then I'll get dressed. We can save the shower for later.. Koenma's probably waiting for us.
* Kurama works away from Suzuka.
Suzuka- Ku-,..
Kurama- I need to try.. Just.. give me a chance.
* Kurama starts across the room with no idea where he's going. Before Touya or Suzuka can reach the footstool in his way Kurama slams his shins into it.
Kurama- Ahh! Ow, s---..! D--- it, how does Yomi.. do this?!
* They all three feel the stab of guilt that shoots through Kurama. Touya hurries to take one of his hands.
Touya- Come on. I'll help you.
Kurama- Touy,..
Touya- Enough, Sir.. You won't have to be this way as long as it took Yomi to adapt.
Kurama- he's blind because of..
Shishi- We're so not going there, Love.
* Shishi moves to the wardrobe. Between the three of them they finally get Kurama dressed in a tunic and pants set in his favorite color.
Kurama- So.. what am I wearing?
Suzuka- The white with gold trim that makes you drop dead gorgeous, Hun.
Touya- Umm, yes.. We better go before we take less time getting you back out of it.
Shishi- Indeed.
* In spite of how long he's been with these three, Kurama still reddens at their admiration of his human form. The three of them chuckle and whisk him out the bedroom door.
