General A/N: I don’t own the characters or show. I’m bad at editing, if I do it at all, so there will most likely be errors. I’m updating chapter by chapter so I’m not sure how often I’ll update, but I’ll try to make it soon. And lastly this story is told by Hiei’s POV.
No More Finals!!!! *dances around the computer* Gomen. Just excited and exhausted. Plus anxious to get my grades. But for now I will try to concentrate on this fic plus A Tale of Love which I’m hoping to post the first chapter of as soon as this one is done. Which shouldn’t be too long.
Congrats to sabrina for guessing correctly about who interrupted Kurama and Hiei. Gomen, no reward. But you should feel good for being right.

Part 16: Getting Interrupted

I growl, letting my fangs show, as I turn to see who dares interrupt my fox and me. My arm grips Kurama tighter as he yelps and tries to reach for his cloths.
Jin grins widely as he tries to stop from laughing, while Touya blushes, looking away. It’s Touya that speaks.
“I said do we need to come back later?” Jin wraps his arms around the ice master’s waist as he keeps his eyes on us. I let out another growl. No one should look at my fox the way he is.
Touya swats at Jin’s arms around his waist and forces the two of them to turn around. I release Kurama from my hold and he rushes toward our clothes. As I grab up my pants I see that his face has become the sameor aor as his hair.
With difficulty he pulls his pants on, wincing slightly as they press against the bite mark I made. I smile. I made that. I’m the cause of that little wince. I should feel bad about causing my love pain but the vampiric part of me enjoys it.
As he turns and looks at me while trying to untangle his shirt, he smiles. I don’t feel so bad about marking him anymore. He moves over to me. Both of us loosing eye contact as we slip our shirts on. When we can see again, he is bent down looking at me with that smile on his face.
“What did you do?” He whispers with a kiss to my cheek.
“Marked you. The scar will never disappear. Mad?” He looks in thought for a moment.
“Nope. I like it.” He kisses my nose before standing up and searching for his shoes.
I look over at Jin and Touya to see the Irish wind master sneaking peaks over his shoulder. I growl one more time before talking.
“What do you two want?” They turn around, Touya still blushing, Jin still grinning.
“What? Ya two couldn’t wait ta find a leaba (1), so ya just get nocht (2) right here? Impatient ain’t we? But me can’t say that the sight hasn’t made me want ta be ionat (3).” The last part was whispered to the blushing Touya, which blushed even more before turning around and playfully slapping Jin on the cheek.
“Behave or you’ll never see this again.” He points to his butt. Guess they are having a lover’s spat.
I feel fingers running through my hair and look up to see the shoed fox by my side, I don’t know who is more red, Touya or Kurama. I snake my arm around my fox’s waist and watch as the two demon masters have a little fight in that language that I don’t understand. After a minute Touya finally turns back to us.
“Sorry about that. He has been acting bad all da…” Touya stops in mid sentence as he looks down at Kurama. At first I don’t know what he is looking at but the fact that he is staring at my fox does not please me. I begin to growl but he cuts me off. “What is that?” He points to Kurama’s hand before walking over and taking it, holding it up to his face.
“Hiei gave it to me. Isn’t it beautiful?” He smiles one of his amazing smiles.
Jin walks up behind Touya, looking over his shoulder. “So ya two are a lanuin phosta (4) now?”
Touya glances up to talk to Kurama but stops. His crystal blue eyes widen. Kurama’s hand is dropped back down to his side. “What are those?” Touya points to Kurama’s mouth.
“Oh, well, you see…Hiei.” Kurama looked down at me. I give him a nod. “Hiei turned me into a vampire last night.” He says this in one single breath.
Both Jin and Touya stare wide eyed at us both for a moment before grinning. I hear Kurama let out a breath he most of been holding.
“So you two aren’t…mad or anything?” Touya looks at Jin.
“I think it is great!”
“Yeah. Mo ghraidhin go deo thu! (5)” Whatever.
Touya reaches out and drags Kurama by the hand over to a large tree. As they sit down me and Jin join them. I take my place by my fox’s side as I give a little warning growl in the direction of Touya.
Since making Kurama my true-life mate I have noticed that I have become even more possessive of him. I don’t like the thought of any one else looking at him let alone them actually touching him. I know that Touya and Jin are our friends but still they don’t need to touch him.
“Ya better be good, little lad. I know what ya feeling but ya touch mine and I’ll have ta blow ya away.” Jin must have heard my little growl. Touya and Kurama just look at us oddly.
“Anyway, what’s it like?” a waa watches Kurama’s mouth with interest as my fox speaks. I hold back the growl that is threatening to come out.
“Weird. It feels like I’m stronger, which I am. And I have this cool new trick with my roses. I can make them catch on fire.” I think his cheeks will start hurting if he doesn’t stop with all the smiling.
“Really? But explain the whole sun light thing.”
“Hiei says it’s because of his blood. Since he is a fire demon and the heat doesn’t bother him, he doesn’t get burnt. Now his blood is in me and I can’t get burned either.”
“Wow! I just still can’t believe it. Our Kurama, a vampire. That’s something I thought would never happen. Well, to be honest I never thought about it at all, but still, weird.” Touya starts to reach out for Kurama’s lips but I give Jin a warning look, suppressing my growl, and he quickly grabs hold of the ice demon’s hand.
“Jin!” Touya looks as if he is about to yell at his demon lover but mine stops him.
“Don’t blame him, Touya. I’ve noticed that Hiei seems to be more than just a little possessive of me since last night.” Kurama leans over and gives me a peck on the cheek. “Why is that, may I ask?”
“Because you’re no longer just a friend. You are now my mate. Which in vampire terms means you belong to me now. And you know as well as I do that I don’t like people touching what is mine.” I don’t really know how he will except the fact that I call him mine.
He looks at me for a moment before smiling and giving me another kiss, this time on the lips. “I like being yours.”
“Aw! Ain’t it cute!” I look over to see Jin grinning with his arms around Touya. “The aingael (6) and the daemhan (7) together forever. Just like me and go h-alainn (8) here.” He kisses Touya. Sometimes I wish he would just speak a language I know.
I look over to my fox to see him grinning, I lean over to whisper in his ear.
“Did you understand that?” He gives a little, shakif hif his head before whispering back.
“No, but I think it was sweet or else Touya would be yelling at Jin.” He licks the outer shell of my ear before moving back.
“So when are you telling the others?”
“How do you know we haven’t already?” Touya just rolls his blue eyes e.

“How do you think we found you? I stopped by your house, Kurama, and your mom said that you spent the night at Yusuke’s. So we went there and he said he hadn’t seen you all night. We put our heads together and figured you and Hiei were up to something and that you were probably here.”
“Where were ya last night anyway?” Jin raises his eyebrows at us.
“Hiei got us a hotel room. It was great.” Kurama blushes.
“You have found a great mate Hiei. Congratulations to the both of you.” Jin leans over and kisses Touya on the lips.
“He ain’t greater than me, now is he?” Touya blushes while kissing his wind master.
I feel a hand on my knee, slowly snaking up my thigh. I throw a smirk in the direction of my mate. I like that word. I glide my hand over his and squeeze slightly as I pull him by it over to almost fall on top of me. Perfect. I let my other hand run along his side, curving around his back and up toward his neck. Moving under his soft , I , I grasp the back of his neck and pull him into a passionate kiss.
“Hey! You never answered my question. When you telling the others?” I pull away from Kurama to see Touya in Jin’s lap. I look at my fox who is practically in my lap before shrugging at him. I will let him decide since they are closer to him than me anyway.
“Well, I would like to tell everybody at once so we don’t have to keep repeating everything.” Kurama glances around our little group.
“Sounds like a party ta me.” Jin kisses the ice master’s ear.
“Okay but where? I mean I don’t think my mother will appreciate a living room full of people, especially when more than half are demons. You think Yusuke will mind us having it at his place?” Touya shock his head.
“Can’t do it there. His mom is sick and won’t leave the house.”
“What about Kuwabara?” I glare at my fox.
“I’m not going over to his house unless you drag me.” The two demons laugh out loud while Kurama just chuckles silently.
“Hiei, there isn’t any other place to have it then.” Kurama looks pleadingly at me.
“How ‘bout here?” We all look at Jin. So the wind master isn’t as dumb as he acts.
“That’s a good idea, sweetie.”
“Don’t I get a reward?” Touya rolls his eyes before kissing Jin on the cheek. “That all?” Before I know it Touya has Jin on his back, straddling his waist and trying to get his tongue down his throat. I snort before I feel a hand on the back of my neck.
“Don’t we have to decide when we’re telling them?” I would like to do nothing but kiss my fox, even more, but I think we should get this straightened out before we begin any thing.
“How about tomorrow?” Kurama lets his lips caress my jaw.
“Sounds good.” Touya mumbles with a mouth full of Jin’s collarbone.
“You guys let the others know. Here around noon.” I stand bringing Kurama with me. Touya finally sits up and looks over at us.
“Why can’t you guys tell them?”
“Because my fox has to feed tonight and we won’t be having time to talk to any of them. You can do it. We’re leaving.” I pull my fox along behind me as I hear moaning. Tomorrow I will worry about what the others think about the new Kurama. But tonight I have to find the perfect first meal for my mate.
