Tachi, just a heads up on SQ. I have it on hiatus while I’m devoting my time and limited computer memory to getting this monstrosity flowing. But thanks for giving my old stories some action. I appreciate it.
POH, these two scenes should answer some of your questions. As for this confrontation being the ‘end’.. Sorry to disappoint (lol) not hardly. This whole work took up over 800 notebook sheets front and back. So.. yeah. Enjoy.

Scene 15 ---------- Tiyarmaru’s Territory
* The Tiger Alpha senses Hiei as soon as he enters his Territory. With his highly developed senses he ‘watches’ the black shadow’s quick procession until it is soon cut off by a group of his subordinate males. Hiei skids to a stop and looks around as the group of young Tiger demons surround him. Tiyarmaru feels Hiei’s jagan contacting him.
(#) Hiei- I come in peace, Tiger.. Call your underlings off or I’ll defend myself.
* In his hut Tiyarmaru sighs deeply, but curiousity as to why his sister’s Alpha is here motivates him to do as asked.
(#) Tiyarmaru- Minyar, Ohomaru, escort Lord Hiei to my hut.. I will see him.
* The two oldest of the subordinates touch their chests to show their acknowledgment of his message.
Minyar- Stop. Master Tiyarmaru has ordered us to escort you to his hut.
Hiei- Hn. I’ll come peacefully.
* Hiei follows the two Tigers away. In a few minutes they come to a stop at Tiyarmaru’s wide-leafed door. Ohomaru pulls it aside gently for Hiei. The jaganshi enters to find Tiyarmaru closing the cloth curtain over another doorway rather hurriedly. Hiei already senses who’s behind the curtain.
Hiei- I’m not here to harm your family, Tiyarmaru.
* Tiyar lowers his arms, but keeps his back to Hiei. This puzzles the Koorime and keeps him alert.
Tiyarmaru- Then why are you here? I’ve not pledged my loyalty to you..
Hiei- Perhaps that’s why I’m here, Tiger.. To find out where you stand.
Tiyarmaru- Perhaps I don’t care to tell you.. Return to your own Territory and leave me out of this.
Hiei- Whether you like it or not, you are an Alpha in this region.. That fact does include you.
Tiyarmaru- Please.. I implore you to leave, Lord Hiei.
* Hiei scowls.
Hiei- You.. implore..? Turn and face me like the man that you are, Tiger!
* Tiyarmaru swallows. When he slowly turns he keeps his once-vibrantly defiant, now sullen eyes averted. Hiei examines the large scarred red mark on his chest that’s not healed over yet. He raises his eyes to look up at the Tiger. He closes his jagan some when the feeling of shame and defeat eminating from Tiyar sickens him.
Hiei- What happened..? When did he do this..?
Tiyarmaru- S-Several.. days ago.. He sent me a challenge.. I had to fight him or..
* Tiyar shakes his head and moves to slump into a nearby chair.
Tiyarmaru- Eh, I knew he’d get around to me sooner or later..
Hiei- He defeated you fairly?
* Now Tiyarmaru growls and glares at Hiei momentarily.
Tiyarmaru- H--- no! That b------ never fights fair!
* The Tiger drops his eyes again.
Tiyarmaru- While I went out to meet him he had two of his cronies sneak in here and.. snatch my most recent boy cubs..
* Tiyarmaru swallows the lump that begins to form in his throat.
Tiyarmaru- I only had three from that litter left.. My Alpha mate passed while birthing them.. Now I only have one.. left.. He’s b-behind the..
Hiei- I know this.
* Tiyarmaru lowers his head into his hands.
Hiei- I’ve heard enough, Tiyarmaru.. These two cronies.. Were they a Rat and a Bat?
Tiyarmaru- A Coyote and a Rat.
Hiei- Hn. I’ve already killed them and the Bat Yushigu.. And some Owl demon he sent to spy on me.
* Tiyarmaru looks back up at Hiei with a brief glimmer of satisfaction in his tiger eyes.
Hiei- That has Ooshama coming for me.. I came to invite you to watch me rid this region of that vermin.
Tiyarmaru- You have no idea..
Hiei- I know that he has Sylk and her daughter in his possession.. I know that he plans to do with them what he did to your sons.
Tiyarmaru- Then you don’t care if he harms them?
Hiei- They won’t be harmed.. Don’t fret, Tiger. You and your son will be free again soon.
* With that Hiei turns and leaves the Tiger to mull over his words. He sends his last message to the fleeing Koorime telepathically.
(#) Tiyarmaru- He asked me what I knew of you.. And I told him.
* Hiei comes to a jolting stop.
(#) Hiei- Which was?
(#) Tiyarmaru- Nothing.. I told him that I knew nothing of you.. Good luck,.. brother.. Protect my sister as best you can.. And forgive me for whatever I might be made to do.
* Hiei just gives a final grunt and continues on his way.
