Scene 15 ------------------------------------------- Another Part of Demon World

* Hiei comes to a stop on a treetop. He lifts his ward a moment to confirm the presence he's found. 'Do not move from where you are, Ryuji!' After being instructed by his half brother of where he is, Hiei lowers the ward and blurs away. He comes to an abrupt stop just outside the gate of a small but bustling village. Hiei moves unhampered through the streets of this village in Mukuro's territory. Since he's mostly recognized, the koorime isn't bothered much. Others are just repelled by the angry aura he's emitting. Hiei pauses at the door of a building and hmphs, 'Figures you'd be in a place like this!' Hiei pushes through the door barely noticing the 'No Excessive Demon Energy' sign in its window. Hiei uses his jagan behind his ward to lead him through the dimly-lit bar. He walks purposely toward a curtained booth in the farthest corner, ignoring most of the 'attention' he's garnering. Until one drunken demon sniffs a little too close to him. With one swift punch, the offender is sufficiently dealt with. When the demon's more sober friend turns to yell at Hiei the koorime turns to glare up at him. The sober demon recognizes Hiei and backpedals with his hands up in a show of surrender.


Demon- Uh.. N-never mind, Lord Hiei.. Please forgive us.

* Hiei just hmphs again and continues on his way to the booth. Behind the curtain, Ryuji feels his brother's actions and chuckles to himself.. until the curtain flies open. Ryuji quiets as he looks up at Hiei. Hiei grabs him by the throat and yanks him closer with an angry snarl.


Hiei- You will tell me what went wrong!!


* Ryuji starts to answer until he gets a noseful of Hiei's faint heat scent. Not surprisingly, it affects him rather quickly and he jabs his tongue out to brush Hiei's close lips. For a moment the koorime revels in the action, briefly parting his lips to enjoy the feel of Ryuji's tongue scorching the inside of his mouth. Then Hiei gathers himself and shoves Ryuji back with a growl.


Ryuji- I'm sorry.. You know fire can't resist fire, little brother.

Hiei- Can we talk.. civilly? Or should we rent a d--- room?!

Ryuji- Is that an offer or sarcasm?


* Hiei glares at Ryuji a moment, then sits down across from him.


Hiei- I have a mate..

Ryuji- You're in heat again? So soon?


* Hiei pours himself a glass of the ice cold water from the pitcher sitting in the middle of the table as he answers.


Hiei- That d--- hot juice Satji used on me has my cycle all.. screwed up..


* Hiei glances at Ryuji scowling when his younger brother emits a purring growl.


Ryuji- Then you've coming looking for me searching for relief?

Hiei- You know why I'm here!

Ryuji- Yes. I'm sorry, I can't help it.. The scent is coming off of you in waves, Ani.


* Hiei sighs a 'hn' as he swallows nearly the whole glass down in a gulp. Being so close to another viral fire demon is affecting him in a manner he'd forgotten it would until now. Ryuji leans a little closer.


Ryuji- (Quietly) You know it won't count against your mate according to fire customs..


* Now Hiei meets the eyes that are so similar to his. In a moment, his mind recalls all of the other times that he'd sought this demon out for all of his other heats. Ryuji smiles sensually, reading his thoughts through their familial bond.


Ryuji- You know I'm here for you...

Hiei- I'm here on business, not to be molested!! Where's Yukina and my grandson?!

Ryuji- They're in a safe place.. for the night..


* Hiei swallows slightly when Ryuji allows his aura to sweep out toward him. Hiei listens, almost in a stupor, as Ryuji explains.


Ryuji- Kurai is the demon we were informed about, but he's not any help or threat to us.. He is pretty d--- good in the sack, though.


* Hiei raises the glass to finish what's in it as he growls a mental curse at his brother. Ryuji chuckles a moment, then gets serious.


Ryuji- He has no idea who it was that hired him to go after Yukina. But it was someone who intended to lure you back into the Shikyo Valley region.


* Hiei meets Ryuji's red eyes again. He struggles to keep from being mezmerized by them.


Hiei- Was it necessary to kill the human?

Ryuji- Uh.. You know about that?

Hiei- I seen the footage.. in Koenma's office!!


* Ryuji lowers his eyes then rubs his forehead with a sigh.


Ryuji- Oh s---..

Hiei- Yes. It got him involved when that female died!

Ryuji- Well, neither I nor Kurai were involved in that.. We were there, but the blast that took her out came from behind us somewhere.. I used my jagan, but I couldn't sense any presence. It either came out of the portal we came out of or the demon was using a d--- strong cloaking barrier.. There was no way we could have known sis would be with that human.


* Ryuji looks at Hiei again. Hiei looks away to try to avoid his gaze.


Hiei- How is Imiko?

Ryuji- Safe, same as Yukina.. I was able to talk Kurai into getting them away from his hideout.. They'll be okay for tonight. Kurai knows that she's our sister now..

Hiei- You told him..!?

Ryuji- Yes. I ascertained that the rogue fears you worse than whoever it was that hired him. You do have quite a.. savory reputation, ya know.


* Ryuji smirks suggestively as he gets Hiei's attention by leaning to stroke one of the koorime's fingers gently. Hiei's grip comes close to breaking the glass he's holding.


Ryuji- Poor bloodsucker nearly pissed himself when I told him that you would be coming to get them back.. Ani, your scent is building up in this small space..


* Hiei swallows, his eyes now glued to Ryuji's. Hiei struggles to keep his senses a couple moments but he soon realizes that his heat, even in this early stage, won't allow him to resist this demon much longer.


Hiei- You're sure they're safe?

Ryuji- Kurai isn't a weak demon.. He can handle himself.. Besides, I've already rented a room upstairs.

Hiei- What?

Ryuji- I felt your.. condition.. as soon as you contacted me.. I figured you were just happy to see me again.


* Ryuji smirks again then pulls the cord that opens the curtain and stands keeping ahold of Hiei's hand.


Ryuji- Come on, Ani.. We're not strangers to this kind of situation.


* Hiei bulks a couple moments as he tries to think. Then he notices a waitress stop to look dreamily toward him until Ryuji motions her along. Quietly Hiei gives in and lets Ryuji lead him toward the stairs. The younger, but taller fire demon growls at a couple overly amorous demons along the way to chase them off.
