Scene 14 -------------- Back Out On The Patio
* Habataro feels Hiei close his jagan and pulls back from embracing him.
Habataro- Was there a problem?
Hiei- No. I was just monitoring Dagon and the Detec-.. I mean Lord Urameshi.
Habataro- Ahh. Don’t trust them?
* Hiei looks up at Habataro.
Hiei- If I didn’t trust Dagon he’d have already been dead.. I know for a fact that I can place my life in Yusuke’s hands.. They’ve both just put my mind at ease. That’s all.. And Kurama left to explore the place, but he can’t help it. It’s one of his lesser annoying habits.
Habataro- Well, Kitsunes are a curious species.
Hiei- Everything is as it should be.
* Hiei turns away from Hab to look out over the manicured lawn again. The Lynx studies the open bond a moment.
Habataro- So why aren’t you happy yet?
Hiei- I thought you’d know by now that I’m never..
Habataro- Stop lying to yourself.. I meant, you feel like something’s.. missing.
Hiei- It’s none of your concern, Hab.
* After a moment Habataro resumes his embrace, deciding not to press the issue concerning the Human female that’s currently occupying Hiei’s thoughts.
