Hiei's Harem - Pt. 8 - Discovering

Scene 14 --------- The Outer Meadow


* Hiei and his group arrive at the edge of the meadow. They remain undetected as he'd telepathically ordered them to mask their energies. Having picked an area of dense cover so they're not seen yet Hiei turns to the others.


(#) Hiei- Spread out and cover all four directions.. Quietly.. Just to be sure that they don't summon any others.. If I need you I'll call you in.

(#) Habataro- I think we should be seen.

(#) Hiei- No. But when you're in position go ahead and flare briefly.. That'll let him know he's surrounded.. Go.


* Hiei places a hand out to stop Minoro as the three brothers slink off.


(#) Hiei- You stay here.. If anything happens to me get back to the camp and only tell Troi.. Got it?

(#) Minoro- Yes, sir.


* Hiei nods, flares out his own energy, and moves ahead. Dagon looks up but remains seated on the log. But Hiei's eyes fall on the 'slut' that hurries into a knelt position beside the strange demon, as he'd been taught, with his head bowed. When Yusuke recognizes the familiar-looking boots he forgets 'protocol' and slowly lifts his eyes up to meet Hiei's. In the next instant the apparition has his katana drawn and snarls at Dagon.


Hiei- What the h--- are you doing here, Yusuke?!

Yusuke- Hey, Hiei.. Fancy meetin' you here.


* Dagon glances nervously between the two. Yusuke relaxes and glances over his shoulder at Dagon.


Yusuke- Relax. False alarm. It's only Hiei.

Hiei- I'm only going to ask you one more time.. What.. the h---.. are you doing here?!

Yusuke- Uh, well.. It's a long story..

Hiei- You better make it short.

Yusuke- Umm, okay.. Well.. Kurama and I started out looking for you.. heh heh.. found ya..

Dagon- Yu-Yu?

Yusuke- Relax, Babe. Let me handle this.


* Yusuke looks back up at Hiei, who keeps his gaze trained on Dagon.


Yusuke- On the way we were captured by this guy named..

Hiei- Matsua.


* Yusuke hesitates.


Yusuke- You know him?

Hiei- He's a soon-to-be dead demon.. Same as the one behind you holding that collar.

Yusuke- This guy is Dagon. He bought me and..


* With another snarl Hiei leaps forward. It startles the Koorime completely when Yusuke quickly stands and shields Dagon.


Hiei- Stand aside! I'll free you..

Yusuke- No! He bought me fair and square..

Hiei- He's got you warded.. You have no idea what you're saying.


* Yusuke shoves Hiei backward.


Yusuke- Che! This pretty new tattoo? Give me a little credit, Shorty! D---, I know you're short-tempered, but.. Wait, there's something different about you..


* As the two stand, glaring at each other, Dagon concentrates on the other four energies that had flared out all around them.


Yusuke- While it is good to find you, I can assure you I'm not in any danger.. I came along with this guy to help him get in good with some new Alpha around here.

Hiei- Hn.. That would be me.


* Dagon returns his full attention back to Hiei. Yusuke tilts his head, still trying to understand the change he feels in Hiei's aura.


Yusuke- You? Mr. I-Just-Wanna-Be-Left-Alone?

Hiei- Does that ward affect your hearing as well?

Dagon- Down, Yu-Yu.


* Yusuke half glances back at the Crow, but remembers his training and sits down indian-style.

Dagon- You would have me to believe..?


* Dagon stands and moves forward to look down on Hiei.


Dagon- That you.. are the one that defeated Gamock?


* Yusuke leans up to tug on Dagon's pantleg when the Crow demon begins to cackle humorously.


Yusuke- Umm, sir? Trust me, you don't want to upset Lord Hiei.


* Dagon glances down at Yusuke, then shakes his head and looks to the side.


Dagon- I would believe that you, Habataro, defeated Gamock before this.. mongrel.. Stop playing games, Lynx!

(#) Habataro- Master?

(#) Hiei- Hn. Come out and confirm this before I really lose my temper.

* Calmly, Habataro makes his way out of the brush into the clearing. Dagon watches the tall demon move calmly closer to Hiei and drop to one knee.


Habataro- If you know what's good for you, Crow, you'll start grovelling.


* Dagon remains calm as he moves to sit back down behind Yusuke again. He considers his next move as he absently raises a hand to begin stroking Yusuke's long black hair. Hiei snarls at the blatent show of possessiveness.


Dagon- Perhaps if you would stop masking yourself..

Hiei- So you read energy levels, do you?

Dagon- That I do.. Take my Pet, here.. Who was going to be a gift to you, by the way.. For the brief time that he was unwarded I felt his energy to be above S.. But yet, here he kneels.. at my feet.


* Yusuke glances over his shoulder at Dagon.


Yusuke(Quietly)- Don't push it.


* Yusuke falls quiet and looks back toward Hiei when an angry wave of his full energy slams against them. Habataro is even nearly knocked over. Dagon ends up on his back behind the log.


Hiei- You picked the wrong demon to enslave, you b------!


* Yusuke stands back up and easily staves off the energy assault with an upraised hand.


Yusuke- Calm down, Hiei.


* Dagon sits up, an obvious expression of newfound respect on his face.


Hiei- Order your.. slut aside.. Stop hiding behind him and face me.. I am the one you came here to meet.

Dagon- Yu-Yu, sit back down.


* Dagon waves a hand and the ward on Yusuke's chest flares. Hiei still keeps his eyes on Dagon as the Toushin's legs buckle and he ends up back on the ground. Dagon steps over the log to scowl down at Hiei again.


Dagon- Since you seem so concerned about the safety of my Pet.. it might interest you to know that if I die, so does he.


* Yusuke tilts his head up toward Dagon. Hiei catches the look of surprise on Yusuke's face.


Hiei- And I'll remind you that you're the one that sent the Ninjini into my territory first.. I took that as an act of challenge.. And I don't walk away from challenges.

Dagon- I merely sent Shironji to..

Hiei- He's told me what you originally sent him to do.

Dagon- You're obviously not taking me seriously.. That ward is positioned right over Yu-Yu's heart..


* Hiei half glances toward Yusuke.


Dagon- If I die the ward will explode.

Hiei- What makes you think I have to kill you?


* Hiei lifts his free hand and calmly strips the bandana off. Dagon steps back when the third eye opens, but doesn't glow to full power. Yusuke quickly averts his eyes.


Hiei- I can send your brain to a place worse than h---, Bird.. Now do you want to continue your foolishness.. Or will you concede to me?


* Yusuke looks back up at Hiei. Something niggles at him again about Hiei's aura and he finally begins to understand, 'He feels just like Yomi and Mukuro..' Hiei glances quickly toward Yusuke then returns his attention back to Dagon. The Crow weighs all his options, trying to remain as calm as possible. He quickly decides not to argue with the jagan wielded by an S-Class demon with a bad temper. He raises his hands and cautiously allows the aura to push him down to his knees.


Dagon- Alright, alright.. I concede.. I'm no idiot.

Hiei- Release that ward.


* Dagon moves one of his hands toward Yusuke.


Dagon- Shakuhou! (1)


* Yusuke feels the dull energy of the ward melt away, but stays put. He continues watching the scene before him as Hiei purposely approaches Dagon.


Hiei- When Habataro conceded to me I marked him and his brothers on the left sides of their necks.. I'm sure you understand the meaning of this.

Dagon- Hai.

Hiei- Since you've co-operated I'll give you a choice.. Leave my territory and never return.. Or accept the same claiming.


* Dagon half glances toward Yusuke.


Hiei- Whatever is yours will then be mine.


* Now Yusuke tears his eyes away from Dagon to scowl up at Hiei.


Yusuke- Hey, yo! Woah!


* Hiei looks toward Yusuke.


Yusuke- Back off, Hiei.. I think you've lost your mind!

Dagon- I accept on one condition, M'Lord.


* Hiei looks back down at Dagon.


Dagon- Please.. Allow me to release my ownership of Yu-Yu.. He doesn't deserve to be lowered any further.

Yusuke- No! Now both of you better start listening to me..!

Dagon- Shut up, Yu-Yu.. I only bought you to get you away from Matsua.

Yusuke- And you trained me to please him so you'd get in good with him.

Hiei- I accept your condition, Crow.. I want no part of this.. slut in a loin cloth.


* Yusuke stands and glares down at Hiei again.


Yusuke- You should re-think that, Hiei.. If you own me.. you'll own all my Territory, too.

Dagon- Yu-..

Yusuke- I'm the Lord of one third of Demon World, Dagon.. Enki may think he's all that, but you know as well as I do, Hiei, that the Lords still control things.


* Hiei's jagan starts to glow, but he looks away and staggers backward until Habataro stands to brace him up.


Habataro- Master?

Hiei- D-Dagon,.. leave.. I-I won't..


* Hiei forces himself to put the ward back on before his instincts overwhelm him any further.


Dagon- But I.. I already accepted.. We have a deal..


* Hiei's true eyes flare when he looks back at Dagon.


Hiei- R-re-lease him!


* Dagon nods and looks up at Yusuke.


Dagon- You're free, Yu-Yu..

Yusuke- Free?! Free to what?! You think it was some stupid-a-- spell that..?!


* Hiei blurs forward and catches Yusuke off guard with a blow from his katana hilt, knocking him to the ground. In quick succession Yusuke rolls onto his back, Hiei quickly pins him with the katana across his throat, then pushes the ward up enough to reveal his still-glowing jagan. With a yelp Yusuke passes out. In the next instant Hiei leaps over to quickly claim Dagon. He keeps the bite in place until the Crow demon passes out. By this time Yusuke starts to stir again. With himself more under control, Hiei moves back to straddle Yusuke's torso before he can scramble to his feet.


Hiei- Don't resist this, Yusuke.


* Slowly Yusuke relaxes. He feels the presence of the jagan invading his mind, but remains limp. When Hiei is done searching and wiping the memories he retrieves he pulls his jagan back some.


Hiei- Sleep now until Koenma wakes you up, Yusuke.


* Yusuke's eyes roll shut and Hiei moves away from him replacing the ward back down over his closed jagan. Dagon is still out cold. The ones that remained hidden reveal themselves and come over.


Hiei- Put Dagon up in a hut. Keep him chained until I return to deal some more with him.. He might prove useful.


* Habataro nods. Hiei moves toward Minoro.


Hiei- You. Stay. Watch Yusuke until a portal opens and he's taken away.

Minoro- Hai, sir.


* Hiei then zips away and speeds quickly through the village, then the ravine toward the main cave. He skids to a stop near one of the large trees close to the cave's entrance. The pack watches him blink up into it, from branch to branch, until he pauses on one of the highest branches. He sticks his hand in a hole, retrieves the communication device Koenma had given him, then blinks back down to the ground. He glances toward his pack as he taps the device on. For several seconds he only gets static, then Koenma's surprised toddler face appears.


Koenma- Hiei?

Hiei- Not far from where I am there is a meadow. Yusuke is asleep there. Locate him and get him the h--- out of my territory.


* Koenma looks to the side to order George to do the scan. He then looks back at Hiei.


Koenma- We've been looking for him.

Hiei- We?

Koenma- I have Kurama and his mates safe up here now.


* Hiei's mouth gradually shifts into an angry scowl as he listens to the Toddler Prince explain everything that had happened and about Kurama's continued blindness. When Koenma is done Hiei nods.


Hiei- I know of that type of weapon.. It blinds the victim until the one that set it is dead.. You get Yusuke out of here. I wiped his memory so he won't remember anything from just before the moment of his capture by that demon Matsua.. I'm sure you can handle him from there.. I will deal with Matsua and his.. facility.


* Hiei shuts the watch-like device off and looks at Sarista, who was peering over his shoulder.


Sarista- That was that guy's true form?

Hiei- Hn. He's still being potty-trained.


* Hiei flits back up into the tree to hide the communicator again. He then settles down on the branch and leans back against the trunk. Sarista recognizes the position and moves away to allow him the rest he needs.
