Scene 14 ---------- Spirit World
* When the four guys tumble in a heap on the floor in Koenma's office the Toddler crawls up onto his desk to look at them. He watches them all scramble off of Kurama and help him up. Koenma then floats over to study the markings he notices all over them.
Koenma- Kurama, what were you doing in a cage? And why do all of you look like Yusuke in his demon form? Where is Yusuke?!
* Kurama sweeps a hand out searching until he latches onto a silken tunic. He pulls the dumbfounded godling closer.
Koenma- Kurama?
Kurama- Can you break these wards?
Koenma- Y-you're.. blind..
Kurama- If you can get these wards off of us I'll heal.. Can you do it?
* Koenma looks closer at the arm grasping him.
Koenma- I don't know.. I've never seen this type before.. I'll certainly do whatever I can, but it may take time.
Kurama- Forget it for now, then.. You have to locate Yusuke.
Koenma- Tell me what happened, Kurama.
Kurama- We were captured by a Demon Breeder.. We went searching for Yusuke after he'd taken off..
Koenma- He took off?!
Kurama- It bothered him deeply because of what he.. almost did to you..
* The other three demons exchange glances, then look Koenma over. The godling flushes and growls at them.
Koenma- I was in my Teen form..!
Kurama- When we found his clothes in a clearing I made a mistake of dropping my caution. When I started to look through them for this..
* He holds up the communicator.
Kurama- We discovered too late that they'd rigged a flash bomb trap up in the clothes.
Koenma- And you're still blind because of these wards.
* Kurama nods.
Koenma- I think I can figure out the rest.. All of you have been through an ugly ordeal. I'll set you up with a place to rest..
Kurama- You need to locate Yusuke.. They still have him.. They placed the two of us in a secured room and expected us to battle for supremacy.. or something.. When we refused to co-operate they seperated us.
Koenma- You refused to..?
* Kurama scowls.
Kurama- Of course I refused.. I'm blind.. Yusuke refused to claim me because he knew it would harm them.. And Shishi's baby..
* Touya and Suzuka glance at Shishi. Koenma looks toward them, making a special effort to try to ignore the outfit Shishi is now wearing.
Koenma- Are you three alright besides these wards?
Touya- Yes.
Suzuka- All I need right now is a good shower.. D---, I'm so cruddy I can hardly stand myself.
* Kurama half looks toward Suzuka with a weary chuckle.
Kurama- See to my mates, Sir.. I won't rest until you get Yusuke out of there.
Koenma- It'll take me a while to scan that place, if I can. You need to rest, Kurama. Your human body is exhausted.. I'll get my staff to start researching these wards later today.
* Kurama starts to protest again, but then he swoons. His three mates quickly brace him up.
Koenma- I'm not going to start searching for Yusuke until you agree to go rest, Kurama. That's final.
* Koenma crosses his tiny arms to show his inherant stubbornness, then relaxes them again when he realizes that the gesture is lost on the blind Kitsune.
Kurama- Fine.. Have us escorted to a room where we can rest.
* Koenma jets back to his desk to hit his intercom.
Kurama- Just anyone but..
Koenma- Botan, get in here!!
* Koenma turns back toward them as Kurama drops his head into a hand.
Koenma- What?
Kurama- Never mind.
* In a moment Botan hurries in.
Botan- Did you find..? Kurama!
Koenma- Don't ask any questions right now. Just show them to one of our guest suites.
Botan- Right! Wait, only one..?
Koenma- Did I not just say no questions?!
Botan- Oh, that's right. They're mated.. I completely forgot..
Kurama- Please, Botan. We are tired.
Botan- Yes, sir. Follow me, boys.
* Botan starts toward the large door then pauses when she notices Touya and Shishi each take one of Kurama's arms.
Koenma- Any more questions and you're fired, Botan!
* Botan 'eeps' and hurries out. The four demons follow closely behind her. Koenma hits the intercom again.
Koenma- George! No sleep for you tonight, you lazy ogre! Get up here!
* Koenma then turns and sits down on his desk to think as he waits for George to get there.
