Hiei's Harem - PT. 17 - Breaking

Wow, is anyone else having as much trouble getting into this site as I’ve been having? This is the first time I’ve been able to get in since my last update. Well, I hope that trend don’t continue, but if it does, you’ll know why my updates may be a little late. :o(

Scene 13 ------------ Back In The Kitchen


* After Hiei had left, followed by Habataro, the rest of his pack had filtered out by ones and twos until finally only Yusuke, Koenma, Kurama, and Dagon remain. Yusuke keeps casting glances toward the Crow demon who continues eating as if not noticing. Kurama and Koenma lean back in their chairs, exchange glances behind Yusuke’s back, then both nod and stand. Yusuke looks up at them.


Yusuke- You guys going somewhere?

Kurama- I’m really interested in exploring this wonderfully immense place.. It brings back some old memories.

Yusuke- Don’t get any ideas, Foxboy.


* Yusuke looks up at Koenma.


Koenma- Naturally, I have lots of paperwork to get back to.


* Yusuke watches them both leave until he feels eyes on him. For several moments he avoids the Crow’s gaze as he sifts through his returned memories. He finally meets Dagon’s dark eyes.


Yusuke- He made you release me in that meadow.

Dagon- I would have done it eventually, myself.

Yusuke- Eventually?


* Dagon’s lips quirk into a brief smirk, then he sighs and nods.


Dagon- That was the deal I made with you.. If you recall?

Yusuke- Yeah. I’m still.. sorting through all that s---.. But I’m remembering more and more everytime I’m near you.. And getting more questions.

Dagon- I’ll answer any questions that I can, Lord Ura-..

Yusuke- Please. I think we’re way beyond that stuff.


* Yusuke looks at Dagon again. This time his eyes fall on Hiei’s claim mark that’s clearly visible on the left side of Dagon’s neck.


Yusuke- He.. claimed you on the left.

Dagon- Hai. Per my own request. It means..


* Yusuke slowly nods.


Yusuke- I know what it means.. You belong to him, but yet you’re free to.. be with others.

Dagon- I was never fond of being too tied down.. until I met him.

Yusuke- Yeah. He’s not such a bad little tyrant, huh?

Dagon- No. In fact, I’m becoming quite.. attached to him.


* Yusuke lowers his eyes to the half empty goblet of wine he was nursing. He nods knowingly as he slowly traces the rim of the goblet with a finger.


Yusuke- I know what you mean.


* Dagon looks at Yusuke with a very serious expression.


Dagon- Ya know, Yu-Yu, he values your friendship very highly.. despite his instincts that he’s fussing with.

Yusuke- Instincts? You mean about our orb thingies?

Dagon- That.. Plus having such a strong male so close to what belongs to him.


* Yusuke looks at Dagon again.


Yusuke- You belong to him.

Dagon- Hn. I do my best to honor his authority.

Yusuke- I’d never betray his trust.. H---, I know when I’ve lost something.. valuable. I’m used to losing stuff like that.


* For several moments, a heavy silence falls between them until Dagon clears his throat to break it.


Dagon- You said you had questions.

Yusuke- Yeah.. Did you know?


* Dagon tilts his head inquiringly.


Dagon- Know?

Yusuke- About that b------ Matsua.. siphoning my.. uhmm..

Dagon- I knew what kind of business he ran there.. But I had no solid proof that he’d.. done anything like that to you when I bought you.


* Yusuke looks at the Crow again.


Yusuke- You knew.. who I was then.

Dagon- Hai. Like I told Master Hiei, I just knew that I had to get you away from him or he’d ruin you.. He was no dummy when it came to doing his business.. If he couldn’t handle a stud he sold him, sometimes gelded them before hand. You got lucky in that respect.. If I hadn’t bought you..


* Yusuke looks away with a shudder at the implication of the demon’s words.


Dagon- You were drugged.. Did you know then what he’d done to you? Is that why you were so distressed?

Yusuke- I knew that he’d.. fondled me.. I was ashamed that I’d.. reacted to it.. But I was drugged and I realize that there was no way I could’ve fought back at that time.


* Dagon nods.


Yusuke- I guess I was upset because I had no idea whether I’d.. hurt Kurama in some way or.. something.

Dagon- You were too drugged to let me know there were others there.. It wasn’t you that did anything to the Youko. That was Matsua, too. He’d probably drugged him the same way he did you.

Yusuke- Obviously. I don’t think he’d have been able to get away with that if Kurama hadn’t been drugged or incapacitated somehow.. The Fox internalizes everything, though, so I have no way of really knowing how Kurama’s dealing with that.

Dagon- I made sure I destroyed everything Matsua had stored. You and Kurama can rest assured that the six females Master Hiei has claimed are the only ones that have had your offspring.

Yusuke- Is that why Hiei claimed them? To keep our kids alive?

Dagon- When Hiei’s little spy Shironji told him what Matsua had done he made a beeline straight for the Illusionist demon.. I’m not sure how much he was actually told but he was upset about having to claim the females.

Yusuke- He had to?

Dagon- When he killed Matsua he automatically inherited everything that belonged to him.. The same thing happened when he first arrived in that ravine and ended up having to kill Gammock.. That’s how he got his original pack.

Yusuke- Ahh.. So he didn’t actually want any of this?


* Dagon hesitantly shrugs.


Dagon- He could’ve just released all of them..

Yusuke- They would’ve died.


* Dagon meets Yusuke’s eyes and slowly nods.


Yusuke- Yeah. But that’s not the little guy’s style.. He was probably bound by his honor to keep them. But all in all, I think he finally got what he deserves. He needs people to care about, as much as he’ll swear against that statement up and down.


* Dagon chuckles and Yusuke joins him. When they fall quiet again Yusuke raises his right finger to look at it thoughtfully.


Yusuke- He’ll be raising my heirs. I wonder if they’ll inherit my Spirit Gun.

Dagon- They certainly carry your Toushin marks. A couple of them really have your ‘Take-no-s---‘ attitude, too.


* Yusuke gives an amused snort.


Yusuke- Wish I could hang around to watch shorty deal with that for the rest of his life.

Dagon- I think Hiei’s well capable of handling them.


* Once more the heavy silence fills the room. This time it is Yusuke who breaks it when he looks back up at Dagon. The Crow meets his gaze, then clears his throat and stands.


Dagon- I should get back to my room and rest some more.

Yusuke- There’s one more thing you should know, Dagon.. I had a Human girlfriend..


* Dagon holds up a hand.


Dagon- Hey, it’s okay. That’s cool, I mean, I only prefer guys, but..

Yusuke- Dagon, she and I never.. did anything.. Ya know? Man, you were my first.. full encounter.. That s--- with Matsua doesn’t count as far as I’m concerned.


* Yusuke lowers his eyes. Dagon finally shrugs.


Dagon- Yeah, well.. We all gotta start somewhere.. I’m sure your next one will be more..

Yusuke- But one never forgets their first.


* Dagon tilts his head away, caught off briefly on a far off memory. Then he slowly nods.


Dagon- I guess not.. Yu-Yu, you were fun while it lasted.. I envy the guy that finally wins your heart.


* With that, Dagon tips his head to Yusuke then turns and leaves. Yusuke watches him go.


Yusuke(Quietly)- Like I said, Crow.. I’ve already lost ‘em both.


* Yusuke sighs heavily and lifts the goblet to drain it.

Sorry if this scene seemed long and/or boring. But it was just time for these two to finally get some things aired out between them, dontcha think?
