Scene 13 --------- Later That Day


* Hiei, cleaning his katana on the lookout, glances up toward the sun. It is nearly at its pinnacle. He calmly puts the sword away and stands. When he leaps to the ground he half turns to look toward Lily. The black Fox is laying on her side in the shade of the ledge. He notices that she is panting heavily and moves to kneel beside her.


Hiei- Hey.


* Lily opens her eyes and lays her ears back.


(#) Lily- What?!

Hiei- Are you okay?

(#) Lily- Do I look okay?

Hiei- Are you in pain?

(#) Lily- Are you done asking stupid questions?

Hiei- Lily,..


* The vixen rolls her eyes then sits up.


(#) Lily- I'm going for a swim.. Just leave me alone,.. sir.


* Hiei stays where he is and watches the Fox lope off in the direction of the Waterfall Meadow. He then looks toward Klarice who is meditating nearby.


Hiei- Klarice,..


* The Koorime hybrid opens her eyes and stands.


Klarice- I'm on it, Master.


* He watches her hurry off.


Hiei- Don't over-exert yourself!


* The dark Koorime then stands and turns to leave.


Sarista- Going somewhere?


* He turns to look up at her as she comes over.


Hiei- I have to go meet with that demon Dagon.

Sarista- Will you be taking the Lynx brothers?

Hiei- I'm considering it.

Sarista- Be safe, Master.


* Hiei nods then reaches up to pull her down for an impulsive, deep kiss.


Hiei- Take care of things until I return.

Sarista- You got it.


* Hiei then blinks away and flits down through the ravine. When he passes through the Kitsune's plant barrier he turns and moves quickly toward the river, then follows it until he reaches the guard post that's being built. The guards doing the work this shift recognize Hiei and salute him accordingly.


Hiei- Has anyone approached the barrier?

Guard #1- No, M'Lord.


* Hiei looks up at the young feline males.


Hiei- What are your names?

Habataro- Their names are Shemetaro and Neotaro.


* Hiei looks toward Hab and his brothers when Kumataro drops their personal barrier.


Habataro- Sheme is my oldest son.. Neo is Kuma's oldest.

Hiei- Hn.. Fine-looking boys.


* Hiei glances back up at the two younger demons, then moves to look toward the meadow through the main barrier.


Hiei- He hasn't left the meadow?

Kumataro- He has no idea who he's dealing with..

Coutaro- So he's playing it safe.. He and his slut have been alert, but haven't left the meadow as you ordered.

Hiei- His.. slut?

Kumataro- A handsome young male.. Of a species I can't determine since Dagon has him warded.

Hiei- And you know this because..?

Habataro- We just returned from scouting them out.. As Kuma and Cou said, the two of them are alone.

Coutaro- The slut might be either a gift for you.. or a problem.

Hiei- I have no need of anymore..

Habataro- Might I make a suggestion, sir?


* Hiei crosses his arms.


Hiei- Hn.. As if I don't already know..

Habataro- If he offers anything.. sexual.. take it.. From the slut or from him..

Kumataro(Snickering)- Or both.

Hiei- You're becoming a perv, Kuma.

Habataro- It will cement your dominance.

Hiei- D---, is this whole region ruled by sex?

Coutaro- Mostly.. Especially during these spring months.


* Hiei sighs.


Hiei- Will you three be accompanying me?

Habataro- Will we?


* Habataro quirks an eyebrow questioningly. Hiei shakes his head when the image of a certain big redhead comes to mind.


Hiei- Hn.. Let's get this s--- over with, then.

Habataro- We won't betray your trust.


* Hiei raises his eyes to study Kumataro.


Hiei- You're recovered well?

Kumataro- I'll live.

Coutaro- Yep and that only leaves me.


* Hiei half glances a sneer toward the younger twin.


Hiei- You're too d--- eager.


* Coutaro crosses his arms and pouts. Just as they are ready to start off they feel another approaching. Hiei turns just as Minoro bounds over.


Minoro- Master,..

Hiei- What are you..?

Minoro- I'm here now.

Hiei- Indeed you are.

Minoro- We can go now.


* Hiei sighs and notices the other three looking the young Hyena over.


Hiei- This is Minoro. He's another one of mine.. This is Habataro, Kumataro, and Coutaro.. Now, do we all know each other?


* Minoro looks back down at Hiei.


Minoro- And you are..?


* The three brothers chuckle.


Coutaro- Hey, I like this guy.


* Hiei's temple throbs a moment as he glares up at Coutaro, then he crooks his finger up at Minoro. The large male bends over grinning until Hiei cuffs him up side his head firmly.


Hiei- Pissed..! And this one is off limits to all of you!


* The Lynxs all wave their hands. Minoro straightens back up rubbing his ear.


Coutaro- Hey, no problem.

Hiei- If you're all done being idiots, can we go now?

Minoro- You're all wired up.. I just thought I'd break your tension.

Hiei- We're going to meet a potentially dangerous guy.. I will not relax until I've determined whether he can be trusted or not.. Now let's go.

Minoro- We'll all stay alert.


* The small group heads off toward the rondevous cautiously.
