Life Goes On

Scene 13 ------------------------------------------- Two Days Later

* After finding a small village on the outskirts of Mukuro's territory where Ryuji feels that they'll be safe, Kurai has used his 'charms' to procure them a nice size apartment. Yukina settles Kasaba down in one of the bedrooms when they arrive. She is just about to leave it when she hears Ryuji and Kurai speaking with each other in the livingroom as they unpack.


Kurai- ... What if he finds us while you're gone, Ryu?

Ryuji- You're not a weakling, Kurai. Besides, I'll only be gone a couple days. If you have to get them away again, do it. I know my sister's signature so I'll have no trouble finding you.

Kurai- Why can't we just leave her here and get the h--- out..

Ryuji- I'm not going to leave my sister and that boy here unattended, Kurai.. I won't have any trouble finding Hiei.. Or more accurately, he won't have a hard time finding me..


* Kurai moves to pull Ryuji into an embrace. When they are quiet for a while Yukina starts out again until she notices the reason for their silence. They are kissing passionately. The ice maiden blushes and disappears back behind the door to wait a little longer. Ryuji had sensed her, though, and works back away from the blood demon. He then glances a smirk toward the bedroom door.


Ryuji- You can come out now, Sis.


* Yukina stays put a moment, then makes her way out cautiously once more.


Yukina- I didn't mean to intrude or..

Kurai- Intrude on what? Us kissing? Better get the h--- used to that, Doll.


* Ryuji scowls at Kurai as he goes over to sit on the couch. Ryuji then rolls his eyes and looks back at Yukina.


Ryuji- Please, try to ignore him. He is a blood, after all..

Kurai- That's why you love me, Babe.


* Yukina raises a hand to hide her giggle when Ryuji sends her a telepathic message.


(#) Ryuji- Just allow him to believe his delusions a while longer.

Yukina- I will do my best to understand, brother.


* Kurai looks back up at Ryuji.


Kurai- Is she for real?

Ryuji- Yukina, I have to.. go..

Yukina- Yes. I heard.. Kasaba and I will be fine here with your mate, I'm sure.


* Ryuji scowls at her again.


Ryuji- Don't allow looks to fool you..

Kurai- Yeah. We're not mated.. yet.. I'm still wearing him down.. Fire demons can be soo stubborn.


* Ryuji turns with an annoyed grunt to show Kurai his own fangs briefly. He then heads toward the main door.


Ryuji- I will return as soon as I have appeased our less merciful brother, Yukina.


* When Ryuji leaves the blood demon turns his dark eyes back up at Yukina.


Kurai- So.. You're a koorime, huh?

Yukina- Yes. I am part ice and part fire.


* Kurai grins with a hint of hunger in his black eyes.


Kurai- Not that I would risk the wrath of Lord Hiei.. But I just gotta ask.. Does your blood run cold? Or does it burn like a fire demon's?


* Yukina just levels a blank stare at Kurai a moment, then turns and returns into the bedroom. Kurai sighs and nods to himself, 'That should keep her out of my hair for a while'.
