Hiei's Harem - Pt. 9 - Heating Up

Scene 12 ---------- Spirit World


* Kurama stirs awake for some reason unknown to him. For a couple moments he blinks his eyes then slowly raises up on the bed to look around the bedroom that has been his home since he and the others were rescued. But now he gets his first glimpse of the opulent beauty that surrounds him. Then it dawns on him and he raises one of his hands to look at it. His sight has returned. The heaviness that he'd felt on his brain the past few days is completely gone.


Kurama- I knew it.. I knew it had to have been an unseen ward of some kind.. There was a spell on that flash bomb.


* Kurama quiets when he looks around again and discovers that he's alone. Quickly he scrambles out of bed, tightens his robe around him, and leaves the room. The first person he sees is Shishiwakamaru who is sitting on the couch clasping his hands over his ears. Kurama is about to question him when noise in the kitchen grabs his full attention. His Kitsune ears twitch a few times until he recognizes what he's hearing. Shishi looks up curiously in time to see Kurama moving confidently toward the wide archway.


Shishi- Oh no, d--- it.. Not now.


* Shishi leaps up to charge after Kurama.


Shishi- Kurama, wait..!


* But he is too late. Kurama freezes in the archway, stunned at the sight he's walked in on. Shishi reaches him just as Suzuka, who has Touya bent forward across the modern-style kitchen table, has just obviously delivered his final thrust. Suzuka braces himself up on his arms staring at Kurama, mouth agape, as he feels himself draining into the heated demon beneath him. Touya quickly recognizes that Kurama can see again by the way his golden eyes flick from from Suzuka, to himself, then down at Shishi.


Shishi- Kurama, they tried.. to resist..


* Kurama raises a hand silencing the samurai, looks back toward his other two mates on the table, then turns to leave. Touya tries to speak, but his exhaustion from the activity they just completed is too much for him. The last thing he hears, as his head sinks to lay on the smooth surface of the dark oak table, is Suzuka's trembling voice.


Suzuka- K-Ku-rama,..

Kurama- Just give me a few moments.


* When Kurama leaves Shishi raises his eyes to look at Suzuka and Touya. He hurries forward when he sees that Touya is out cold. Suzuka wearily works himself out of Touya as Shishi helps brace the hibernating ice master. Both demons recognize this clear indication of Suzuka's success. The blonde's elbows buckle and he collapses forward to hide his face against Touya's back. It isn't long until Shishi hears Suzuka curse himself with an angry sob. The blue-haired samurai can count on one hand the number of times he's seen his friend this upset. Shishi reaches out to embrace Suzuka, but the blonde squirms away.


Suzuka- Don't..!

Shishi(Quietly)- We need to believe that he'll understand, Suze.

Suzuka- Of course he will.. But that don't mean I'll ever forgive myself!


* Suzuka pushes Shishi aside and gathers Touya up.


Shishi- Suze,..

Suzuka- Just leave me alone!


* Shishi sighs sadly and follows Suzuka as he carries Touya out to lay him on the couch. After making sure that he's situated comfortably Suzuka turns toward the kitchen again.


Shishi- Touya's going to be just as upset when he wakes up, ya know.

Suzuka- Yeah.. Get a blanket and cover him up then stay here with him.

Shishi- Where are you going?

Suzuka- I'm going to get dressed and.. take a walk.


* Shishi puts his hands on his hips.


Shishi- We're all just overreacting to..


* Suzuka turns at the archway to glare at Shishi.


Suzuka- Will you shut up and do what I told you?!


* Shishi crosses his arms stubbornly.


Shishi- You're not the boss of me!

Suzuka- Fine! Let Touya lay there naked then!


* Suzuka disappears into the kitchen as Shishi looks down at Touya. He decides he'd best get the blanket and goes into the bedroom. He glances toward Kurama who is seated on his bed, back in his human form, hugging the upraised knee that he's resting his forehead on.


Kurama- I told you to give me a few..

Shishi- Yes, sir. I just need to get a blanket for Touya.


* Kurama looks up as Shishi moves across the room toward the other bed that he and Touya has been sharing. Shishi senses the question his Alpha wants to ask.


Shishi(Quietly)- He's.. hibernating.. Suzuka put him on the couch.


* Kurama lowers his eyes.


Kurama- Where is..?


* They both hear the main door to their suite slam shut and Shishi turns hugging the blanket.


Shishi- He said he had to go for a walk.. I think he's going to plan his own funeral.


* As usual, in his pregnant state, the samurai catches his words too late. Kurama looks back up at him.


Shishi- Sorry.. That was really.. the worst timing.


* Kurama leaves the bed and goes over to take the blanket from Shishi.


Kurama- Let's go see to Touya.. Then I'll go after Suzuka.

Shishi- You know, they really did try to..

Kurama- I heard you before, Shishi.


* Shishi nods as Kurama leaves the room. The main door flies back open just as Kurama finishes covering Touya. Shishi faceplants into a palm.


Yusuke- It's about d--- time I find this door unlocked!

Shishi- Oh, we so do not need you right now.


* Yusuke glares and tosses Shishi a finger as he goes over to Kurama. Familiar with the situation concerning his brash friend, courtesy of Koenma, Kurama straightens up to face Yusuke.


Yusuke- Hey, you look like you've healed good.

Kurama- Yes, Yusuke. But I was just on my way out.

Yusuke- Gonna go badger Junior about finding Hiei?

Kurama- Hiei is the least of my worries right now.. I need to go find Suzuka.

Yusuke- Did you two have a spat or something? He seemed pretty upset when I passed him down the hall.

Kurama- I'll explain later.


* Kurama heads for the main door.


Yusuke- You can explain while I come help you look..


* Kurama turns to growl at Yusuke who leaps back.


Kurama- Keep your d--- nose out of my business!


* Kurama then leaves. Yusuke turns to look questioningly toward Shishi. The blue-haired demon glances around nervously.


Shishi- You wouldn't harm a pregnant imp.. Would you?


* Yusuke sighs, shakes his head, glances toward Touya again, then leaves. Shishiwakamaru relaxes and moves to collapse in one of the armchairs.
