Man and "Wife"

"Yusuke," smiled Keiko as the one missing bride was finally allowed to see them, though she had three really intimidating ferry girls standing not far away from her.

"Keiko, you look nice," smiled Yusuke going up to giving her a hug, she paused to glance over her shoulder for protest from the ferry girls before processing.

"Getting in trouble again Yusuke-kun," smiled Shizuru.

"You know me," smiled back Yusuke kissing her hand. "You look nice too, as do you Yukina."

"Thank you," smiled the little ice maiden.

"Hiei, Kurama you know I like those suits on you, but I’m really looking forward to getting you two out of them," grinned Yusuke.

"Hn," snorted Hiei.

"Same old Yusuke," smiled Kurama. "They finally let you out did they?"

"Yup, it’s almost time to start so they had to. I’m a little too nervous right now to repeat last night anyway."

"Thank god," snorted Hiei.

"You’re nervous?" asked Kurama.

"Yup," laughed Yusuke. "I don’t think I’ve ever been this jumpy before, of course that might have something to do with the amount of stress I’ve been going through the last couple days," she glared at the ferry girls standing to the side.

"I don’t feel stressed at all I had fun," smiled Kurama.

"Hn," agreed Hiei in not so many words.

The sound of laughing and crashing greeted their ears and they all turned to see George in a tangled heap on the floor, Raiko standing on top of him holding up the peace sign and little Sake skipping around him tossing white petals in the air and laughing. Sake was dressed like the rest of the girls in a short kimono this one pale green with black, green, and white embroider flowers scattered all over it and a green and white obi. Raiko was dressed in a mini black tux.

"You’re not suppose to toss those yet! Raiko stop that! What did you do with the golden seal?! We can’t start with out it?!" cried the blue oni in panic grabbing for the three eyed boy standing on his back. Raiko jumped off him with a grin and ran over to Yusuke who scooped him up to her shoulder.

"You lost the seal George?" asked Kurama looking at Raiko who smiled baring sharp canines, definitely a little devil.

"I didn’t lose it I gave it to Raiko to hold because that’s his job! But he doesn’t have it any more! If we don’t have the seal there’s no way Enma can mark you!"

"Mark, just what do you mean when you say mark?" asked the jaganish.

"I’ve been wondering about that since Enma told us about it," said Kurama.

"He’ll mark you over the heart with the seal, it will leave a permanent rune there," said George looking around for the seal.

"You mean he’s going to brand us?" said Yusuke with a scowl. "I’m not a cow," grumbled Yusuke.

"A Reikai marriage has no rings like a ningen one. The mark serves as a sign that you’re taken."

"So basically Koenma’s putting his name us," said Kurama. "That seems kind of childish," said the red head crossing her arms.

"It’s not Koenma’s name," said George peering under a couch. "It just states you as part of the Reikai royal family. It is a form of identification to prove who you are, also it has several magic properties," said the blue oni feeling around in the cushions of the couch. "Raiko and the other kids will be marked as well; all those of Reikai’s royal family are marked with the seal. Even Koenma was marked if you recall the Jr. on his forehead."

"I’m sure glad he’s not going to stomp it on our foreheads, I’d feel really stupid walking around with writing on my face," said Yusuke.

"What about your toushin aspect?" said Hiei in a mellow voice to his side.
"Hey that’s not writing," protested Yusuke.

"Will you people stop chatting and help me look for the seal?!" shouted George crawling around on the floor.

"Brides maids, it’s started you better get out there!" called one oni sticking his head into the room.

"Uh oh," said Kurama eyes scanning around. "Where’s that seal?" she said.

"We’d better hurry up and find it," said Keiko looking under the table.

"Brides maids!"

"No, we’d better go," said Shizuru going over and pulling Yukina and Keiko along. "Good luck you guys," said walking out of the room.

"Raiko, where did you put it?" asked Yusuke glancing at the boy on her shoulder.
Raiko put his hands behind is head and looked innocently to the side.

"Don’t give me that!" growled Yusuke grabbing the boy by the leg and holding him upside down. She gave him a few good shakes. A comb, several gemstones, a pack of chewing gum, a hairpin, and George’s bowtie fell off the boy’s person.

"Kurama what have you been teaching my son?" asked Yusuke glancing at the red head.
Kurama shrugged. "Wasn’t me."

"Must be genetic," muttered Yusuke giving the boy one final shake. Out tumbled the golden seal.

"Ha, knew he still had it," said Yusuke holding her dizzy son like a fishing trophy.
"Oh thank god," said George picking up the seal and putting it on a small pillow. He then glanced at Sake who was still running around tossing flower petals all over the room. "Oh stop that!" he cried going over and picking her up. She up turned the remaining petals on his head. "Not on me! Eek!" he said looking at all the scattered petal. "You used them all," he said hold the girl at arms length. "It will take me forever to pick them all up, Ahhhh! Why did Koenma-sama give me this job?!" shouted the oni tears of frustration running down his face.

"Calm down George," said Kurama taking the small basket. She held up a hand with a small seed and several bunches of white flowers bloomed in her hands. She began plucking the petals.

Hiei went over and took Sake from George. "Behave," she said. The girl’s lower lip quivered and she hugged Hiei tight around the neck nuzzling her throat. "I’m not mad, just be good and we’ll get some sweet snow or something afterward." This got both Raiko and Sake's attention, they grinned showing sharp teeth and nodded their heads, even Raiko who was still upside down in Yusuke’s grip. Hiei almost rolled her eyes as she went over to Yusuke and freed their son from her. She set the boy down and began brush him off, straightening his messed up hair.

Kurama knelt down by Sake. "Now only throw them while you're going down the aisle, okay?" she said with a big smile patting the girl’s head.

"Ah, it’s about time to send those two out," said George running over to the door and looking out.

"Okay you two, do your thing," said Yusuke tugging both over to the door and giving them little swats on the butts as they went out. "They’re so cute," smiled Yusuke watching them go.

Kurama walked up behind Yusuke and swatted her on the rear, making the raven-haired teen jump. "We’d better get ready ourselves," she smiled.

"Hn you too are so childish," said Hiei.

Both smiled wickedly as the ex-demon moved to stand next to them and in unity whacked her on the rear, making the little jaganish jump with a yip. Hiei turned around and growled at him. Yusuke and Kurama just laughed lightly and smiled.

Mukuro, Yomi, and Shiori watched as Sake went skipping down the walkway tossing petals left and right with far more energy then needed. Once she reached the end she turned around and started down the aisle again still tossing petals, she was heading back up the aisle throwing petals when George ran out and grabbed her carrying her still tossing petal to the front. He put her down and she once again dumped the rest of the petals on his head.

Shiori giggled into her hand and raised up her camera to take a few snap shots.
Standing already waiting was Koenma, and even he cracked a little at the young girl’s display. His head snapped up as Yusuke marched out followed by Hiei and Kurama.

In her seat Mukuro’s lower lip quivered. "I won’t cry, I won’t cry, I won’t…"

"You’re crying," stated Yomi hearing the hitch in her breath.

"I know," bawled Mukuro. Yomi sweat dropped once again. He’d never ‘seen’ her like this, she was always so calm and collective. He reached over and patted her shoulder, sweat dropped again as she began crying oh his shoulder.

"I want to be a bride," squeaked Botan from her place next to Shizuru and Yukina, trying unsuccessfully to hold back tears. Her kimono was white with swallows embroider in light red color all over it, her obi was crimson red around her waist. At her feet Hisa was mimicking her mother, sniffling softly. She didn’t really understand what was going on, but if mama was crying then she should be too she figured. The young ferry girl was dressed in a pale orange Kimono, like Sake's, Flora’s, and Hotaru’s flowers were embroidered all over it in black, white, and orange threads.

"Shhh," hissed Shizuru.

Botan sniffling quitted slightly.

Koenma hardly heard what his father, who was in his smaller size (about 6 feet tall), was saying as he went about the ceremony. He had this warm fuzzy feeling running through him, and all he wanted to do was look at the three lined up in a row beside him. It was one of those rare moments that he wanted to just look and not touch, as if afraid the perfection he’d achieved would all crumble as the slightest disturbance. And, this was perfection, it had to be, nothing else had ever felt so great and wonderful in all his many years. He hadn’t believed it when people described their wedding day as the happiest day of their lives, but Koenma was started to change his way of thinking. He watched and listened to the three, the smooth sultry sound of Kurama, the deep purr of Hiei, and the strong tone of Yusuke.

What had started out as no more then a physical attraction had indeed bloomed into something far deeper, something beautiful and special. He truly believed at that moment that he was the luckiest bastard to ever live
He heard the three swear loyalty to the Reikai and its emperor: him. They swore themselves to him without hesitation or second thoughts. He’d known for a long time where their loyalty lied, but to hear it sent such emotions raking up and down his frame. He didn’t feel worthy of such devotions let alone from three such amazing creatures, but he would try. He would try to be worthy, of his position, of them, the silent bond he’s established so long go with the three the first night he’d had them.

Had he grown so much since then? He felt he had, had finally matured enough to truly be a man. Such feelings of pride laced through him as he looked upon all that he’d attained, power beyond most people's wildest dreams, a whole world looked to him for guidance and protection, he was a proud father, and the soon to be life partner of three beautiful, powerful, and amazing creatures. Life was good.

He almost didn’t hear his father call his name so caught up in the realization of what was happening. His throat felt as dry as a dessert and a fine tremor ran down his whole frame.

"I… do."

So simple yet so hard, but once it was said it created the most relieving sensation he’d ever had the pleasure of experiencing. It was ‘almost’ better then sex. He was about ready to topple over with relief, lucky for him his father’s deep bombing voice managed to keep him on his feet.

"If any one objects then speak now or forever hold their peace!"

"I object!"

A shocked roar ran through the crowd and everyone turned to look at a tall handsome man standing calmly in the back. He looked exactly like Koenma expect for a pair of piercing blue eyes.

"Shigo…" said Koenma in shock.

"Shigo what are you doing?!" boomed Enma’s powerful voice.

"I object that such a weak creature as Koenma should be handed such gifts," said the blue-eyed man. "Some day dear cousin we shall see just how weak you are," smiled the man.

"Enough Shigo, do not disgrace your own family!"

The Koenma look alike bowed gracefully. "Of course not Enma-sama. I would never dream of doing so," smiled the man. "Please continue I have no objections with you including three such exquisite creatures to our family. I welcome them with open arms," smiled the man with an almost secretive look in his eyes. He bowed once again and turned leaving the room.

"Strange," whispered Kurama under her breath.

"He appears to hold some grudge against Koenma," said Hiei.

"I’ll bet he’ll be nothing but trouble in the future," said Yusuke.

Everyone else was talking softly about the intrusion when Enma’s voice called for silence so he could continue the ceremony. After a few more seconds things had settled back down. The matter could be disgusted later, the important parts were starting, the crowning of a new king, his partners, and the future heir to the Reikai.
"Okay take off your tops," said Enma to the three brides.

"Huh?!" said all three titling their head to the side in disbelief. The crowd once again flared to life. Someone shouted 'take it off' and was promptly dragged out of the room by some guards.

Koenma blushed brightly, the momentary discomfort of the appearance of his cousin forgotten with this new development. Oops forgot to tell them about that part…
Even Enma looked a little embarrassed. The God of Death coughed into his hand. "I need your skin bare so I can mark you."

Kurama was the first to shrug and started taking off her top, laying the jacket down by her side then loosening her tie and unbuttoning her shirt to take them off. She wore a soft white under shirt underneath with thin spaghetti straps showing an ample amount of cleavage. The shirt was low enough to bare Kurama’s heart; unfortunately it was a little too low for Koenma’s taste.

"Ahhhh! Don’t look, don’t look!" shouted Koenma jumping around. "Turn around! Find your own! George!"

Hiei and Yusuke sweat dropped.

"Doesn’t want anyone else to see us," muttered Yusuke.

"Hn," snorted Hiei and began working at the jacket.

With a sigh Yusuke did like wise. They were all use to being bare chest, but they usually didn’t have so much… chest. Still Koenma was doing a good job of getting his onis to get everyone to turn around at spear point.

Shiori was confused about why she couldn’t watch, still thinking Kurama was a boy. She hadn’t gotten a very good look from her viewing point to see the difference in her ‘son’s’ build.

When the onis demanded for Yomi to turn around he bluntly stated he was blind.

After all three were stripped down to thin white undershirts, they were instructed to kneel.

Enma couldn’t help the slight grin that crossed his face. "It’s good to be the king," he said taking up the seal that Raiko held.

"What’d you say dad?" demanded Koenma.

"Nothing," said Enma voice sounding far too innocent as he stood before Yusuke with the seal. He lowed the cool gold seal to touch the flesh over the raven-haired teen’s heart and spoke as softly as his deep powerful voice got in a strange tongue. The seal glowed red and as Enma pulled it back a red imprint was left on Yusuke's skin, which glowed the same bright red as the seal.

Yusuke looked at the mark with a little concern, but she felt nothing, it wasn’t painful like she’d expected. It just kind of tingled.

Enma repeated the process with Hiei and Kurama then stood back to admire the view (cough). "Okay you can put your shirts back on." The glow faded to leave a red mark like a tattoo on their fronts.

The three put back on their shirts and jackets, Kurama helped Hiei put the ‘damn noose’ (her bowtie) as she called it back on and then straightened Yusuke’s for her. Everyone was allowed to turn back around once the three were fixed back up.

The three stood aside as Enma called for his grandchildren to be brought up so they too could be marked. Many people were amazed as they watched nine little kids running around on the platform; they all come to the conclusion that Koenma had been busy lately.

Enma actually looked like he was enjoying himself as he stomped the back of each kid’s hand like he was giving them 24 hour returning passes to some kind of theme park. Of course, the kids all loved their grandpa having had lots of fun with him back when Yusuke, Hiei, and Kurama had been first changed. He tried to sound stern as he ordered them to stop crawling all over him, but it came out anything but stern. Yusuke dragged Raiko and Sake away from him, tucking each kid under her arms and going back to stand aside with them. Kurama merely took the hands of her two kits and lean them off to stand by her side. Hiei had to pull Tatsue off Enma’s shoulder, and then walked away holding the dragon cub to her front. Kuwabara, Yukina, and Botan collected their hatchlings and returned to their place leaving little Shinigami alone before his grandpa, Enma.

Koenma walked up to stand behind the boy, Shinigami had not been marked, he would be marked last by himself as his heir.

"Father," said Koenma smiling softly. "Any time you’re ready."

Enma looked long at his son for before he stepped towards him with the seal. "From his day forth I declare you King of the Dead, Enma," he spoke bring the seal up to cover the Jr. over Koenma’s forehead.

Koenma’s vision flashed out and for a moment he thought he’d gone blind, but then the most beautiful sight greeted him. It could not be described in shapes or form so great was it’s beauty, it was an unspoiled land, untouched and tarnished. The only words that could come close to describing it was perfection, pure perfection.

Koenma wanted nothing more then to step forward and exist in this holiest of holy places, but just as the impulse came to step into it, the vision was gone and he was back before his father in the Reikai. Koenma had the strongest desire to cry as feelings of immense lose washed over him. He looked up into the knowing eyes of his father and understood, he’d just seen that land his father had spoken off, he’d just looked perfection in the face and then it left him just as suddenly as it had come. A part of him would forever feel hollow inside he realized, hollow till the day he saw it again, but that wouldn’t be for many, many long years. He managed a weak smiled at his father, I understand now father, I understand.

"This is now yours," said Enma holding out the seal to his son.

Koenma hand trembled softly as he took the seal from his father, as he did he could feel an impossibly strong force being pulled from his father and directed to himself. He looked up at his father with regret. It was his father’s life force, his immortal core he felt, draining from the powerful being before him and saturating him. Once the process was complete his father would be no more, he would finally die.

Enma smiled proudly as he stepped back from his son, and Koenma managed one back. We’ll all meet again when it’s over, till then I will fulfill my responsibilities and make you proud father, I promise. He felt a little tug on his sleeved and looked down at his son.

"What is it Shinigami?" he asked softly kneeling down and running his fingers through the boy’s wild brown hair.

The boy slapped his hand on Koenma’s forehead, making his eyes cross in an attempt to see what was there.

"It’s gone," said Enma. "The Jr. mark is gone it will never return you are Enma now," said his father behind him.

"I see," said Koenma softly and looked down at the seal in his hand. He brought the seal up and pressed it to his son’s forehead. Pulling back the seal he saw a new Jr. mark now graced the once unmarked flesh. "I am Enma and now you are my heir Shinigami," he said pulling the boy into a hug.

A long pause filled the room then a loud cheer roared to life. It was done, the Reikai had its new ruler.

* * * * * * * * * * *

The usually partying took place after weddings began. Champaign was passed around in abundance, there was dancing, bands played, and lots of chatting among small groups. Tons of pictures were snapped.

"Open wide," smiled Koenma holding up a small bite of cake. Kurama smiled and allowed Koenma to feed her the small bit of cake. Both turned as they heard Yusuke and Hiei behind them.

"Come on Hiei, Kurama let Koenma do it," said Yusuke trying to attempt the same thing with the ex-demon. Hiei had turned a lovely shade of pink looking quite embarrassed by the display of affection Yusuke was trying to get her to do with her in front of thousands of people. Hiei shook her head and clamped her mouth shut.

"Ahh, come on Hiei. It’s tradition," said Yusuke moving closer to her with the piece of cake.

"I don’t care," barked Hiei waving a hand at her to try and shoe her away.
"Now don’t be shy," grinned Yusuke grabbing her and pulling her up again her.
Hiei’s hands went up to push on her front as her head snapped from side to side trying to avoid the piece of cake.

With a wicket grin Yusuke reached down with his free hand and pinched Hiei on the butt. The ex-demon opened her mouth to let out a surprised yip, but no sound was heard as Yusuke took the opening he was looking for.

"That wasn’t so bad now was it?" asked Yusuke all smiles as she looped an arm around Hiei’s shoulders who’s gone from slightly pink to full blush; an assault of flashes bombarded the two. Hiei slapped a hand over her face, she pulled it back realizing she had frosting on her lips. She looked at Yusuke, growled, and then grabbed the raven-haired teen and returned the favor by introducing her face to a section of the several layered cake.

Everyone laughed as Yusuke pulled back, face completely covered in white frosting, eyes wide. Tatsue flew and landed on her shoulder to start licking the frosting off her cheek and even Yusuke started to laugh. She grabbed a bunch of napkins and started wiping it off.

"Hiei," said Yusuke still smiling brightly. "I’m going to get you for this."

"Hn," said Hiei crossing her arms and not looking intimated by Yusuke’s words.

"I’m going to take the left over cake and smear it all over your body and then I’m going to lick it off you," said Yusuke lean into whisper it into Hiei’s ear so only she could hear.

Hiei suddenly looked very intimated, the light blush returned across her checks. She looked up at the giant cake and paled. "Here," said Hiei picking up a slice and handing it to Tatsue. "Eat as much of this stuff as you can and spread the word to Raiko and the others. I want this cake gone."

"Hiei you’re going to make them all hyper active," said Kurama watching the little dragon cub happily consume the cake slice and go after another.

"I’d rather deal with nine sugar high kids then one sugar high Yusuke," said Hiei handing Tatsue another slice as the dragon finished off this second.

Kurama and Koenma exchanged confused looks.

"Kurama."

Everyone looked to the side to see Yomi and Mukuro, with Flora, Ryu, and Shura. The tall dark haired Makai lord bowed to the red head. "I think it’s only proper that I be allowed a dance this evening."

Kurama smiled brightly and went over to take Yomi’s hand. "Later you guys," she called pulling him away.

Hiei handed the two kits and Shura plates with cake them. "Eat," she ordered.
The kids glanced at each other and shrugged, happily going over to sit next to Tatsue who was on his sixth piece.

Mukuro smiled and walked over to Hiei to take the slice of cake she was pushing in front of Ryu and put it aside. Without a word she started dragging the ex-demon to the dance floor following after Yomi and Kurama.

"Wait, I’ve got to-!" protested Hiei waving her hand at the giant cake. She spotted George who was running after Sake and Raiko. "George!" The oni caught a hold of Raiko lifting him up by the back of his jacket and turned to look at the spiky haired female. "You make sure those kids eat that cake! Go find the rest and don’t let them stop till it’s gone!" she shouted as Mukuro took hold of her hand and started leading the ex-demon in a slow dance.

Saki skidded to a halt at the word cake and turned to run between George’s legs and toward the giant wedding cake. Raiko began twisting and turning in George’s grip, the blue oni yipped loudly when the boy bit him in the arm. Raiko dropped to the ground and ran after his sister to join her and the rest in their attempt to devour the Enma size cake.

"They're such good kids," smiled Hiei giving her attention to Mukuro.

"Hey Koenma," said Yusuke watching Hiei/ Mukuro and Yomi/ Kurama. "You think it’s kind of weird that Hiei and Mukuro are both girls and their dancing together?" she asked nudging Koenma.

"Not any stranger then that," said Koenma pointing to Keiko and Shizuru who were dancing along with the rest a wide-eyed Kuwabara looking on.

Yusuke laughed into her hand then spotted someone she’d been meaning to ask Koenma about.

"Koenma," said Yusuke nudging him again.

"Huh?" asked Koenma.

"Look it’s your evil twin," said Yusuke grabbing his shoulders and turning him to face Shigo who was looking at them with almost cold eyes.

Koenma lost a good deal of his good humor with the discovery. "He’s not my twin Yusuke, he’s my cousin."

"Cousin?" said Yusuke curiously.

Koenma nodded. "My father had a younger brother who had a son, Shigo."

"Gee," said Yusuke staring at the tall brown haired blue-eyed Koenma look alike. "He looks so much like you. So what’s the deal with you two anyway?"

"What do you mean?" asked Koenma glancing at her.

"I mean why else would he object to your marriage if he didn’t like you?" said Yusuke.

Koenma sighed. "I’m not sure, we’ve never been all that close. I was always working so we haven’t really had much time alone together to talk. I really don’t know him as well as I’d like to."

"Well then go talk to him!" said Yusuke slapping him so hard on the back Koenma staggered forward.

"What?!"

"Go talk to him and figure out what bit him in the ass," smiled Yusuke, she waved at him and then left to go mingle.

"Yusuke!" protested Koenma. He sighed again when Yusuke vanished from sight and turned to look at his cousin. He grabbed a glass of Champaign from a walking by waiter and drank it down, making a loud gasping sound after finishing it he set it down and walked toward his cousin.

"Shigo," smiled Koenma standing in front of him. "I haven’t seen you in such a long time. Of course, I would have preferred for you to have chosen some other way of getting my attention then objecting to my wedding."

"Koenma," said Shigo raising his own glass to his lips and tasting. "I mean what I said you’re not worthy. You’re not worthy of ruling the Reikai, you’re not worthy of the title Enma, and you’re not worthy of those three incredible creatures you’ve some how convinced to be your mates. It sickens me that someone as weak as you has such good fortune."

All the good humor drained from Koenma’s face to be replaced with a very cold look. "I am capable of ruling the Reikai, cousin. I’ve been doing a good job for quite some time now," said Koenma ice lacing his voice.

"Really?" said Shigo raising an eyebrow at him. "That’s not what I’ve heard. You’ve had quite a few big incidents lately. Tournaments, demon’s escaping into the ningenkai, artifacts stolen right out from under your nose," he grinned around his glass as he took a sip. "If it wasn’t for those three lovelies I doubt the Reikai would still be standing."

Koenma growled low in this throat.

"But fear not cousin," purred Shigo. "I won’t let you screw up the Reikai."

"Oh really how thoughtful of you," said Koenma sarcasm lacing his voice. "And just how do you plan to do that might I ask?"

"Simple I’ll take over that responsibility for you," grinned Shigo.

"What?!" shouted Koenma in rage.

"You heard me, cousin," smiled Shigo he stepped forward to loop his arm over Koenma’s shoulders and turned him to face the dance floor where Kurama was now dancing with her mother, Yusuke with Keiko, and Hiei with Yukina. "I should thank you really cousin," whispered Shigo softly in his ear. "So beautiful your new wives are. Beautiful, powerful, and intelligent, truly you have good taste. I will enjoy them when they’re mine."

"What?!" snarled Koenma starting to turn to glare at him, but Shigo moved his hand up to grip Koenma around the throat tightly. Koenma felt fear lace thought him as his windpipe was squeezed.

"They will be mine," whispered Shigo tenderly. "Your title, your land, your possessions, and your beautiful wives will some day all be mine Koenma. I will take them from you," he said letting go of Koenma’s throat and shoving him forward.

Koenma gasped and managed to keep from falling on his face. He turned to look at Shigo with shocked eyes.

"Remember that," smiled Shigo turning and walking away.

Koenma didn’t know what to make of the incidence. He just watched numbly as his cousin walked causally away.

"Koenma!" shouted an excited voice right before a perky blue haired girl jumped on him.

"B-botan!" gasped Koenma, he patted his chest to make sure his heart hadn’t leapt out. "What do you want? Where’s Shinigami?"

"Oh he’s having some cake with the others," she said pointing in the direction of the giant wedding cake. Koenma paled. The kids had consumed quite a portion of it already and were still going strong, and worst yet they looked like they were vibrating with energy from all the sugar they’d taken in; except little Tatsue who seemed to be using all his energy to eat cake. The dragon boy was just munching on the side of one of the layer, not bothering with plates and silverware. The reason for the rapid disappearance of the cake was also due to his father who despite being in his smaller size was consuming enough for his much larger one. He looked like he was having a great time drinking Champaign, eating cake, and playing with his grandkid who were once again climbing all over him.

Botan yanked Koenma around from staring at the scene. "Come on Koenma, since I don’t have a date you’re dancing with me!" she cheerfully stated while dragging him towards the dance floor.

The dancing and the drinking went on for hours, needless to say dancing and drinking was an interesting mix. Koenma was the only one not getting sloshed; he didn’t want it to affect his performance. It was very entertaining to say the least watching everyone else get plastered around them.

"Botan… you should just give up on men," said Shizuru cigarette in one hand glass of alcohol in the other. "They’re nothing but trouble, you’d be better off playing on the girls’ team."

"Shizuru you’re not going to cheat on me are you?" asked Keiko looking ready to slap some sense into the woman.

"Of course not, I’m all for sharing," she said pushing Botan towards Keiko who drunkenly fell all over the shocked brown haired girl.

"Excuse me," giggled Botan having had one too many drinks she tried to push off Keiko, but only ended up groping the girl in her clumsy state.

"Shizuru! That’s so indecent," blushed Keiko grabbing Botan’s shoulders to hold her up straight.

"I don’t see why. If Koenma can build himself a bishonen harem I don’t see why I can’t build a bishshojo one."

"You’re drunk," state Keiko.

"And loving every minute of it. Hey, Yukina want to be part of my harem!" she shouted to the ice maiden.

"Huh?" said Yukina titling her head to the side.

"Oh come on, you’re one hot chick!" she said slapping the ice maiden on the ass.

"Uw!" said Yukina hopping forward with the move. "I don’t think I understand Shizuru-san. I’m an ice maiden how can I be ‘hot’?"

"Oh I can show you," smiled Shizuru leaning over the ice maiden.

"Ahhhh!!!" shouted Kuwabara running over and grabbing his wife to wrap all around her. "Shizuru! It’s bad enough you’re that way, but don’t try to turn my sweet Yukina-chan!"

"Oh come on Kuzuma, straight's out curves in if you haven’t noticed. You and you’re traditional why of thinking," she sigh.

"What are you talking about?!"

"This is a gay wedding! You’re probably the only straight person here," grinned his sister downing her drink. She hooked her arms around Botan and Keiko. "Now if you don’t mind, I’m going to go enjoy myself party pooper," she winked.

"This isn’t a gay wedding!" he protested. Just then Yusuke waltz by hands on Koenma’s ass and all grins. Kuwabara sweat dropped and coughed into his hand. "Okay so the ‘brides’ and groom are, but that doesn’t mean everyone else is! He turned his head to see a man with long sea green hair and long elfish ears sitting on Yomi’s lap nibbling on one of lord’s many ears. He blushed and looked back at his pretty wife. "You’re not gay, right Yukina," he asked in desperation.

"Huh?" smiled Yukina. "Of course I am."

"Ahhhhhh! She’s caught it toooo!" shouted Kuwabara running away in tears.

"Huh? Kuzuma?" she asked in confusion.

Hiei walked up to her side. "Something wrong?" she asked her twin.

"Kuzuma asked if I was gay and I told him I was. Is that wrong? I am happy, I am having a good time," said Yukina looking worried.

Hiei only smiled charming at her sister. "No you didn’t say anything wrong," she said taking the ice maiden’s hand to lead her around for some drinks and snacks.

Kuwabara sat in a miserable state petting Nike, the chibi neko demon, on his lap till Yusuke happened upon him and straitened everything out. Convincing Kuwabara it was an honest mistake as it really was. After that Kuwabara spent the rest of the evening as bodyguard for his wife, making sure no one got any more funny ideas.

Keiko, Botan, and Shizuru eventually came back to the party after a long absents.
Botan had this dazzled look on her face, Keiko was blushing, and Shizuru was in a very good mood.

"Time to toss the bouquets," shouted Kurama using her ki to grown a cluster of white roses. She handed it to Hiei.

"You’ve got to be kidding," stated Hiei glaring at the fox. "This is a stupid human tradition, I want nothing to do with it," she said tossing the flowers back at Kurama.

Kurama smiled devilishly and grabbed Hiei to run up some step to a balcony and hold the shocked ex-demon out over it.

"What are you doing!" shouted Hiei clinging to her and kicking her legs out over the open space of air.

"You toss the flowers Hiei or I toss you. Doesn’t that sound like a more demon tradition?" said Kurama bouncing the ex-fire demon in her arm.

"All right! All right!" shouted Hiei.

"Yusuke, get your cute butt up here!" shouted Kurama waving her hand at the raven-haired teen.

Kurama had two more bouquets of white roses done by the time Yusuke reached them.

"Yah! They’re going to throw the bouquets!" cheered the still fairly drunk Botan. The blue haired ferry girl summoned her oar and hopped on it. "Kurama! Yusuke! Hiei!

Throw it to me! I want one!" she shouted waving her hands. Below her the rest of the single people gathered, both male and female; anything goes in a gay wedding (shrug).

"All right, here it comes Botan. Catch!" shouted Kurama. She, Hiei, and Yusuke all turned around and tossed the flowers over their shoulders.

Botan grabbed at them, but missed the first, which a very surprised Keiko caught.

Botan managed to get the next one that flew by, but in doing so she unbalanced and fell with a screech right off her oar to land in Shizuru’s waiting arms.

"This is far better then no stinking flowers," smiled Shizuru.

The last Bouquets went right over the heads off all the waiting guests and smacked Yomi in the face. The Makai lord had been too busy trying to get an elfish youkai off that had been following him around all night long trying to get a date from him to ‘see’ it coming.

"What the- flowers?" said Yomi picking up the bouquets and detecting the scent of roses.

"It must be a sign," said the elf jumping the blind lord and dragging him to the floor where he started kissing the very shocked demon.

"W-wait a minute! We just met!" protested Yomi.

"Go Yomi!" cheered Kurama from the balcony getting stares from Hiei and Yusuke.
The rest of the party progressed and soon guests started to leave returning to their own cozy homes to be with their own loved ones.

"Good night Onii-chan," said Yukina leaning foreword to give Hiei a peck on the cheek.

"Good night Yukina." Hiei leaned foreword to give Keith then Hotaru a small kiss, she drew back shocked then the neko demon licked her having once again mistaken the purple critter for a stuff animal in Hotaru’s grip.

"Good bye mother. I’ll be sure to visit you soon," said Kurama giving her a hug.
"I think I might have had a wee too much to drink," said Shiori raising a hand to her head. "I could have sworn I saw the weariest things tonight."

Kurama smiled in a knowing manner. "I know mother, one too many drinks can do that to you. I’ll make sure you have someone to drive you home."

"Mom!" said Yusuke supporting his mother who was so drunk she could barely stand up straight. "Really when will you learn not to do this to yourself," said Yusuke. "Hey, George could you drop my mom off too when you drop off Kurama’s?"

"Sure Yusuke," said George standing by a long black limo.

"Ah!" said Atsuko waving her hand. "I’m not that drunk," she said pushing off Yusuke to stand on her own two feet. She took a step foreword, swayed, and fell right back into her arms.

"Ah, why couldn’t I have a mother who can stay sober for a couple days?" said Yusuke rolling her eyes.

"Where’s the fun in that," said Atsuko with a big smile.

"Well it’d be less embarrassing that’s for sure," said Yusuke dragging her toward the limo.

Atsuko snorted. "If you’d had a different mother you’d be some normal everyday school boy, not the strong handsome man- er- whatever you are that I’m proud to call my son."
Yusuke stopped in front of the car door. "What…?"

"What are you deaf?! I said I’m proud of you!" shouted Atsuko right in her ear.

A small smiled crossed Yusuke’s face. "Thank mom," she said helping her into the car. "Good night."

Atsuko waved at her then flopped over on the seat. "Hey, you blue guy. You got any alcohol in this thing?" she asked.

Yusuke rolled her eyes again and moved aside to let Kurama’s mom get in. Kurama closed the door after them and they watched it disappear through a large black portal.

"We’re going now too," said Keiko walking up behind them with Shizuru and Botan, both looked a little tipsy.

"Botan are you going with them?" asked Kurama.

"Yup!" grinned Botan holding on to Shizuru for support. "I’ll just leave Hisa with the rest of the litter, I’ll pick her up tomorrow," she sang as Shizuru tugged her along.

"Bye you guys," called Keiko. "I’ve got to get these two home before they cause any more trouble," sighed Keiko running after the two girls.

"Bye," waved Yusuke and Kurama.

Hiei then walked up to them with Hotaru, Keith, Kuwabara, and Yukina.

"Really Yukina I know it’s build on a hot springs, but there’s this really nice demoness there and I think you two will get along very well together."

"Well I guess I can go with you next time, so long as I can take Keith and Hotaru," said Yukina.

"Sure, Jouki said it was okay to bring them. Maybe I’ll bring Tatsue with me."

"Then sure, I’d love to go," smiled Yukina. "I’ve always wanted to spend some time together with you."

Hiei smiled at her twin. "I’ll see you again later," she said giving her a hug.

"I’ll look forward to it," said Yukina returning the warm gesture.

"Well Yusuke, you’ve finally tied the knot. I didn’t think you’d ever go through with it, but you proved me wrong."

Yusuke grinned. "Yup, only took a crazy pervert, a sex changing spell, and a little game of tag with Enma," laughed Yusuke.

Kuwabara laughed softly as well. "Well it’s time to get these two to bed," said Kuwabara picking up Hotaru and Nike. "Make sure you don’t spend all your time in the Reikai, come home every once and awhile."

"Don’t worry I will, said Yusuke.

No sooner had Kuwabara and his family left then Yomi, his new elfish friend, and Mukuro walked up to say their good byes.

"Sorry I can’t stay Kurama, you’ll watch Shura for me right," he grinned already walking away with the elf hugging his side.

"Well I guess I do own him for watching Flora and Ryu," said Kurama waving weakly at the disappearing couple. "Good for you Yomi," she smiled fondly.

Mukuro marched over to Koenma and grabbed him around the collar. "Listen buster, if I find out you miss treat my Hiei in anyway I’ll kill you," she vowed leaning in to glare at him, fire burning in her good eye.

Koenma seemed to shrink under her gaze. "H-hai," he crooked weakly.

"Good I see we have an understanding," said Mukuro releasing him. "Hiei, you’re still my heir. Just because you’re married now doesn’t mean I’m going to let you off on your responsibilities. As soon as you’re done with the honeymoon part and back to your old self again, you come over with Tatsue-chan and train we me. I’ve still got lots to teach you boy."

"I understand Mukuro," said Hiei nodding her head. "I’ll be there you know I will."

Mukuro smiled and nodded her had as if satisfied with her answer. "I’ll be going now," she said turning around waving behind her without looking at them. "You four have fun."

"You know I’ve been thinking," said Kurama. "When are we going to get back to normal?"

A large sweat drop formed on the side of Koenma’s face.

"Now of course, the deal was he’d change us back after the marriage," said Yusuke.
Koenma started to shrink in size.

"Oh good, I can’t wait to get back to my old body, this bra is killing me!" said Kurama tugging on the said article under her shirt.

"Yah, Koenma where’s that glove?" asked Yusuke turning to look at the new ruler of the Reikai.

Koenma shrank some more, he was starting to look like his chibi form. "Well you see…" started Koenma. A long paused filled the air as he seemed unable to continue.

"Hn, you guys beat it out of him. I’m going to put the kids to bed," said Hiei turning to leave.

"Good luck," shouted Kurama after her. "They’re probably all on sugar highs."

"Come on Koenma where’s the glove?" said Yusuke.

"Um… it’s in my room, but…"

"But? What do you mean but?! I don’t want to hear no buts, Koenma. Specially when they have to do with my ticket back to manhood!" growled Yusuke grabbing hold of the front of the shirt and yanking him forward.

"Hahahaha," laughed Koenma nervously. "Don’t worry I’ve got it. I’ll bring it with me, just go back to your rooms and wait for me okay?"

Yusuke raised an eyebrow at him, but relented. "Okay, but no funny business Koenma or your ass is mine." Yusuke smiled at the double meaning of her words. "One way or the other," promised the teen turning and walking away.

Kurama smiled charmingly and pressed up to Koenma’s side. "Don’t keep me waiting long," she whispered in his ear biting it briefly before turning and strolling away.

"Huba, huba," said Koenma steam practically pouring out his ears. He turned to run after them and ran right into his father.

"Da-dad!" said Koenma in shock looking up at the once great man. He looked old now, as if time had finally caught up to him in the last couple of hours.

Enma smiled and patted his son’s head. "Koenma when you wake up tomorrow I won’t be here you know. I wanted to say good bye before I go."

A sad look crossed Koenma’s face. "I understand father, I’ll try and make you proud of me."

"I’m already proud of you Koenma. I know you’ll make a great Enma."

"T-thank you," whispered Koenma feeling all teary suddenly. It was rare for his father to speak such words to him. "I’ll miss you so much father," he whispered bowing his head to hide the two tears that streaked down his face.

"Koenma," said Enma tilting his son’s face back and brushing the salty trails away. "Don’t be sad you’ve got you’re whole life ahead of you and when it's over we’ll meet again. Tomorrow is the start of a beautiful day; the life you live now will determine the being you will become in the life after. Cherish it, and don’t regret anything, we only live once."

"Hai, father," smiled Koenma softly. "I will."

Enma smiled and nodded his head. "Now then you’d better get going. You’ve got a long night ahead of you," grinned his father. "Don’t let me down."

Koenma grinned. "Don’t worry father, you’ll get to retire. I’ve got it all worked out."

"Really, well then good luck, you lucky bastard," grinned his father.

"Thanks I’ll need it," laughed Koenma with a grin he turned and ran off.

Enma smiled softly as his son disappeared. "Good bye Koenma."
