General A/N: I don’t own the characters or show. I’m bad at editing, if I do it at all, so there will most likely be errors. I’m updating chapter by chapter so I’m not sure how often I’ll update, but I’ll try to make it soon. And lastly this story is told by Hiei’s POV.
I’m so excited! Cartoon network has started playing the show again *jumps up and down*. And I do believe they are going to show the end of the dark tournament, which unfortunately I have yet to see *pouts*. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Part 12: Sneak Defeat

Waking up this morning in the arms of my beautiful fox made me believe that this day would be a good one. As he woke up and looked at me I couldn’t help but smile at him. He is truly amazing. To think that out of evone one he could be with he has chosen me. I am one lucky vampire.
When we finally decided to get out of bed and go downstairs we found Touya and Jin laying nude in each others arms on the couch. After the initial shock Kurama managed to shack Touya’s shoulder. When he realized the state of dress he was in or rather not in he blushed and grabbed at his clothes while pushing at Jin to wake.
The wind master woke with a shout of, “Gabaiste (1)” which sent Touya into a fit of laughter. I really wish I understood him. After the two had gotten dressed we decided that today would be a good day to train. It would take our minds off things, or people, that we wish to forget for the moment.
That is how I ended up in the passenger seat of Kurama’s car with the two demon masters in the back making out. I roll my eyes as I hear yet another moan coming from the back seat. Do they every give it a rest?
I look over at Kurama when I feel his hand take mine. His eyes are still on the road but he still smiles.
“Awe…look at the kawaii (2) couple!” So Touya has decided to come up for air I see.
“I had a question for ya Hiei. I was wondering if ya had to sleep in a conra (3) but I guess areir (4) kinda answered that, didn’t it?” I look over my shoulder at Jin to see him grinning at me with his eyebrows lifting up and down. Does he think I actually understand him?
Touya just rolls his eyes at his lover before speaking. “You don’t sleep in a coffin, do you?” Oh.
“No.”
Jin leans over and kisses Touya’s cheek. “Thanks mo gormghlas seoid (5).” There they go kissing again. I turn back to look out the front window.
The rest of the trip was mad sil silence, well except for the occasional moan and whisper. Finally we arrive at the woods that we have come to every time we want to train. I hope that Yusuke is not in there. Even though it has been a whole day since we have talked, or tried to talk, to him I think he still needs some more time.
As we walk toward the clearing I grab Kurama’s hand and hold it tight as the other two demons follow a couple steps behind us.
“So how are we doing this? Who’s fighting who?” Kurama looks over his shoulder as he keeps walking.
“How about the same? Beag las (6) and smarag ros (7) then me and you.” Jin comes up beside Kurama and grins as he rasises his eyebrows in a question toward Touya.
“Fine with me, love. Who’s going first?”
“Could we go first?” I’m surprised that Kurama would want to fight first or that he could understand what Jin asked. Usually he enjoys watching the othersore ore fighting himself.
“Fine with us.” Kurama looks down at me.
“Hn.” I give a little nod of my head. He smiles.
When we reach the clearing I’m glad to find it empty. But I do notice that one of the trees has a fresh hole blown through it. Looks like the spirit gun. Guess we just missed Yusuke by a couple hours. Good.
“Weapons?” Kurama asks as he moves to the center of the clearing. Jin and Touya take a seat in front of a tree to watch. But I doubt they will pay us any attention for long.
I like to train with my katana and I know that Kurama would like to use his rose whip but I also know that neither of us wants to hurt the other. “Yes, but not for injury.” He has known me long enough to understand what I mean. He nods and pulls out a seed, which soon becomes the rose whip.
I draw my katana and take a fighting stance. He likes to judge his opponent’s moves before deciding on a strategy of his own. So I attack first.
I move in low and fast, going for his legs. But before I reach him he jumps into the air to land on a branch of the nst tst tree. He lashes out the rose whip, which I dodge easily and join him on the branch.
He smiles. Then grabs a seed from his hair. Before I even see the rose he creates with it I feel my shirt pull. I look to find the rose through my shirt and pinned to the tree. He missed my flesh by just under half an inch. I rip the rose out and find him gone when I look up.
I still myself and listen. Listen for the smallest sound. I hear kissing. One guess who that is. I hear a movement below me, a rustle of clothing. I jump down bringing my katana to slice through the air and stop at his throat.
We both freeze in movement. He smirks and bends back as his arm comes out and hits mine causing me lift my katana as he flips completely over and lands on his feet. Nice move. He brings his rose whip toward me with a flick of his wrist. It catches around my katana as I raise it to protect myself.
We pull on our own weapons at the same cau causing both of them to go flying out of our hands and landing across the clearing. Neither of us takes our eyes off each other.
In a flash I am by his side with my fist aimed at his head. He moves to the side sweeping his feet at mine making me fall. I catch myself with my arms before falling on my face and kick up at his stomach. I know I will hit him so I don’t put enough force in it to hurt him.
He stumbles back as I land on my feet but have to duck immediately as a fist comes swinging at my head. We exchange light blows, some barely hitting their marks others missing completely.
Finally he makes a surprising move by leaning in and giving me a light kiss on the cheek. I’m unprepared for that. He takes the opportunity to kick my feet out from under me again, but this time I’m too stunned to stop myself.
I land on the ground with a thud. When I try to get up I find I can’t because there is a fox straddling my waist. He leans down to my ear.
“Looks like I win.” He kisses my ear before pulling back to look me in the eyes, just inches away from me.
“You cheated.” I smirk up at him.
“I didn’t think you would mind.” He kisses me on the lips, gently biting my lower lip as he sits up. Running his hands up and down my chest he grins as he looks across the clearing then chuckles. I too look over.
Jin has Touya lying on the ground with him in between the ice master’s legs. Both of their shirts are gone and its seems Jin is trying to get his tongue down Touya’s throat. I just roll my eyes as I look back up at Kurama.
I run my hands up his legs to rest on his hips. When he looks back down at me he looks serious.
“You know we have to talk to Yusuke sometime, right?”
“Hn.” He slapsmy cmy chest.
“Don’t give me that. Answer me with words not grunts.”
“I’m with you. Give him time to relax and cool off. Knowing him that could take a while. So we have plenty of time to relax ourselves and not worry about the bakas.”
He smiles as he leans down to kiss me again before sighing.
“You’re right.”
“I’m always right.” He laughs as he gets up and holds his hand out for me.
We pick up our weapons and put them away before heading over to were the two demons are making out which by the looks of it is about to be more.
“Excuse me.” They seem not to hear Kurama. “Hey.” Still nothing. “Hello, earth to Jin and Touya.” Guess it’s up to me.
“HEY!” All three of them jump and look up at me. I glance at Kurama and just shrug my shoulders. What? He wanted their attention now he has it.
Turning back to them Kurama speaks. “It’s your turn.”
