guys can forgive me okay? xD I'm trying to move this story along as fast as
I can

So please read and review!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Recap:

Kurama was almost scared to look at HIei and see what he had

done to Hiei. Kurama did it however, and what he saw, shocked him

to his core. Long gashes ran down Hiei's face, his face ribbons of

blood. His smooth pale face was gone, it was opened by gashes and

covered in blood from Kurama's own hand. That wasn't what stopped

Kurama's rage though. Hiei's eyes had stopped Kurama's gaze. Long

gashes covered each eye, forcing them shut. Kurama, in horror,

grabbed Hiei's chin harshly and commanded, his voice quivering in

fear, "Hiei, look at me! Look at me now dammit!" Hiei's eyes

opened. Kurama release Hiei's chin and scrambled back, off the

bed in horror as Hiei's eyes closed again. What had he done?

He-It was all his fault. Kurama, whispered, his voice broken with

sobs. "I-I'm so sorry Hiei!" Kurama broke into a run and ran away.

Kurama had made Hiei blind.

End Recap

Hiei sat up with a start and frantically looked around the cave,

looking for the threat that he had assumed to be there, because of

his dream. He stopped panicking when he saw the cave was empty and that he

was alone. His panicked breathing slowed as he slowly woke up from the

dream. As he sat there, he reassured himself that that had been a dream.

He found that he could see and he wasn't blind like he had been in his dream.

Hiei found though, that what had been true was the fact that he had had

sex with Kurama. He remembered it, but he didn't remember falling asleep

either. Hiei looked down to find himself naked, save for the sheet pooling

about his hips. Looking to the other side of the bed that Kurama had occupied

the night before, he saw that it was empty, and judging by the coolness of the

sheets, had been for quite some time.

Hiei found that he was fine with Kurama being gone. He really didn't even need

Kurama there at all right now. Of course there were several reasons for that

thinking on Hiei's part. One of the reasons was that it wasn't that

it was awkward, it just was that neither of them could stand each other's

presence at the moment. Kurama couldn't stand Hiei because Hiei had cost

him his wife and an unborn child. Both ties to his humanity that he once

clung onto so strongly. Then, he had been forced to eliminate them in order

to save Hiei, a valued comrade and at one time a crush. Hiei on the other

hand didn't know how to comfort Kurama or act as a lover. Both were things

Hiei didn't know how to respond to. Hiei had never been good at emotions

or feelings. In fact, he had often wished he didn't have these emotions

because they were so trouble some and painful. Hiei was also notorious

for his independence and lone-wolf attitude. So it wasn't as if

either of them really had a reason to stick around for each other anyways.

After a few minutes of sitting there, Hiei got to his feet with a

slight wince in his step. It was with a little difficulty that he

managed to ignore his sore backside, and the stickiness on his thighs.

Once Hiei got to his feet, he limped forward a few steps then stopped

as he felt something soft and delicate crush under his bare foot. Looking

down to see what he had crushed, he saw the remains of a luscious red rose that

reeked of Kurama's ki. Hiei stopped and stared at the scattered rose petals

littering the area around where his foot had stepped. Looking briefly thoughtful,

he reached down, and he scooped the petals up in his left hand. With his right hand,

he reached out and picked up the note Kurama had left behind for him attached to

the now roseless stem.

Opening the note, he rolled his eyes at the rose's scent that rose up from

the note as he began to read.

Hiei,

Aishiteru.

Aishiteru, Hiei!

Aishiteru!

Your mate and lover,

Kurama

Hiei snorted at the note, but held onto it anyways. He was a

sentimental fool and he knew it. Leaving the note and petals on the bed,

he took the silk sheet he had slept in and fashioned it into a cloak

small enough for him to wear comfortably. Holding on tightly to the note

in one hand, with the other hand he held onto the red rose petals and walked

out into the morning's light. Lifting the hand with the rose

petals out into the air in front of him, he waited until a brisk morning

wind swept the petals from his hand, scattering them to the winds.

Hiei looked up into the sunlight, watching the petals scatter

in the morning light. Holding onto the note, he took off, flitting into the trees.

A pair of luminous green eyes in the distance, blinked as the little

koorime took off. Stepping out from behind the tree, Kurama covered his

mouth with his hand and snickered a little.

Hiei would be his. Even if Shuuichi didn't like it.

Kurama's eyes flashed gold briefly and he took off in the form of a fox. The

human part of Kurama wasn't gone, but the morals of the Youko and the morals

of the half human half demon Kurama were blending into one. Remorse for the

lost child and wife existed, but Kurama, with the Youko's help, had begun to

move on. Well, not really with the Youko's help, it was more like the Youko

had squashed the remorse of the child and lost wife. He had then turned that

feeling of rage into desire and lust for Hiei. The Youko was rather tired of

being celibate. He wanted to fuck quite honestly and he didn't want to fuck

pussy. He wanted ass, demon ass. Specifically, he wanted Hiei's. Now, thanks

to Youko's trouble some meddling, both minds were focused on one thing.

Capturing their fire koorime and making him see just whom he belonged to.

A challenge the Youko and Kurama were more than eager to meet.
