Scene 10 ------------ Chevaux’s Suite
* Several of his females look up when Hiei enters. Even in his relaxed state they can feel the change that his accepting of his new position has made in him. For several moments none of them move and Hiei lowers his eyes. The full brunt of what his recent action could’ve done to his pack finally settles heavily on him. He’s about to turn and leave when Sarista stands and moves to him. Hiei looks up as she approaches him.
Sarista- Master,..
Hiei- Once again I..
* She silences him when she throws her arms around him. As he raises his arms to complete the embrace Yusuke and Kurama, following their senses, enter the room. They stop and watch as the other females all move to greet him. Hiei greets each of their kisses and nuzzles patiently until he senses the two new arrivals. He growls and turns to glare up at them.
Hiei- You two have a problem? These are my mates. I’ll greet them any d--- way I see fit.
Yusuke- I’m not complaining.
Kurama- As Koenma stated, they’re obviously very attached to you, Hiei.
* Sarista sizes up these two strangers, carefully studying the power she feels radiating off of them and how it flows to interact with her Alpha’s own energy.
Sarista- These two are.. friends?
Hiei- They seem to think so.
* Celestia steps up beside Hiei defensively.
Celestia- If they’re not..!
* Hiei turns to look up at his Wolf hybrid and raises a hand to touch her waist.
Hiei- Relax, Wolf.. The dark-haired one is Lord Urameshi. He’s a fellow Supreme Alpha.. The redhead is Youko Kurama..
* Lily moves around Hiei to examine Kurama’s Human form curiously.
Lily- This is..? No f---in’ way..!
Hiei- Hn. This is the Human form he takes when he wants to hide.
* Kurama once again feels his energy react to the presence of the female Kitsune. He closes his eyes as he shifts back into his full demon form. When he opens his golden eyes to meet Lily’s the vixen lowers her eyes and shrinks back behind Hiei some. The Koorime quirks an eyebrow when he notices Kurama’s tail swaying with controlled excitement. When Hiei growls Kurama catches himself and stills the expressive appendage.
Kurama- Please forgive me, Hiei.. It’s been a long time since I’ve been in the presence of a vixen such as..
Hiei- She belongs to me, Fox..! You had your chance at Alaric.
* Hiei half glances over his shoulder toward Lily, feeling her shame easily.
Lily- Please forgive my own reaction, Master.
* Hiei grunts and runs his hand through her fluffy tail when it lifts to wrap around his waist. He then turns back to his females, forgetting Yusuke and Kurama.
Hiei- I know I have a lot of explaining to do.
Sarista- Habataro and Sylk have already told us all they know.
Hiei- Including Chevaux?
* Just then Sylk and Tachimaru come out of the hallway that leads to the Mare’s bedroom.
Sylk- It’s about time you get here. Chevie wants your a—in her room now.
* Tachimaru rolls her eyes and gets Sylk by the arm.
Tachimaru- Enough with your b----y attitude, already, Sylk. Let’s go make Chevie her breakfast.
* Hiei watches the Tigress guide Sylk toward the kitchen. He scowls when Yusuke starts to move past him toward the hallway before Kurama can grab him.
Hiei- Do you seriously have a death wish?
* Yusuke pauses to look down at him.
Yusuke- I’m more to blame for what happened than you are. It was my decision..
* When Kurama feels Hiei’s aura rising he starts forward. But a portal suddenly pops open near Yusuke and Koenma leaps out.
Koenma- I swear you two are going to drive me to insanity! We were supposed to be going to the Main kitchen..
* He clunks Yusuke on the back of the head when he senses Hiei’s aura.
Koenma- Yusuke, your stupidity continues to astound me!
Hiei- Get him out of here before it ends his existance.
* Kurama comes over to get ahold of Yusuke.
Kurama- We only came to make sure that you were okay, Hiei.
Yusuke- I came to help him..
* Kurama claps a hand over Yusuke’s mouth. He and Koenma wrestle the Toushin back into Koenma’s portal. When it shrinks shut Hiei shakes his head, then pinches the bridge of his nose as he relaxes his aura. He then looks at Sarista who is still somewhat bewildered by what’s taken place.
Hiei- ‘Ris, unfortunately you’ll just have to get used to those three.
* Sarista closes her gaping mouth and looks down at Hiei, crossing her arms.
Sarista- Now I see why you stayed hidden in our ravine.
Hiei- If I can survive dealing with my Mare I’ll deal with those three later.
* Sarista gives Hiei a good-natured nudge.
Sarista- It was nice knowing you.
Hiei- Hn.
* Hiei turns and moves toward the hallway. When they hear Chevaux’s bedroom door close with a quiet click they exchange glances then settle down to wait again.
