Scene 10
Scene 10 -------- The Main Cave
* As soon as Hiei lands in the clearing he pauses to look over his pack. They are eating and chatting noisily at the table. The Koorime smirks a moment, then goes over to stand between Troiyoku and Gamaru.
Hiei- Eating without me, are we?
* Sarista glances up at him.
Sarista- Your rules, Babe.
* Hiei notices Troi and Gamaru sniffing toward him on either side.
Gamaru- You smell..
Troiyoku- Interesting.
* Hiei twitches an eyebrow then jackslaps both of the younger males. He then moves around to slip into his place beside Sarista. Silis shakes his head.
Silis- You two will never learn.. Master Hiei is the Alpha. He can f--- anybody he wants.
* Everyone looks toward Silis. The Wolf hybrid just shrugs and continues eating. Celestia shakes her head and looks back at Hiei. Sarista begins preparing his plate.
Celestia- This brat is worse than me when he's pregnant.
Hiei- Do you expect me to argue with that?
D'Tara- Will Minoro be coming?
Troiyoku- I doubt it. Master Hiei wore him out before he had the Crow.
* Now Hiei looks toward Troiyoku. Sarista places his plate in front of him.
Sarista- Ignore the boy, Love. He's becoming hormonal as well.
* Hiei looks down at his plate and gets lost deep in thought as he picks at the food. Sarista casts a glare at Troi, but it is lost because her oldest son is now staring at one of his hands. Gamaru looks at his brother.
Gamaru- What?
* Troiyoku lifts his other hand to look at it, too.
Troiyoku- D---, even my hands are getting fat.
* Gamaru rolls his eyes then hesitantly raises his own hands. Sarista turns her attention back to Hiei. She feels his gambit of morose feelings and slips her hand over to squeeze his upper thigh gently. Just that light touch brings Hiei back to the present and he glances at her.
Hiei(Quietly)- Nothing.
Sarista(Quietly)- We can discuss it..
* Hiei glares at her and she quickly looks away removing her hand. Hiei realizes what he's done and leans to place his face in his hands. Sarista relaxes.
Sarista- You're on edge because you just came out of your cycle.
* Hiei stands.
Hiei- I'd rather not..
Klarice- It's not strange to us, Master.
* Hiei glances toward her.
Celestia- We all go through it.. Please sit down and finish eating.
Sarista- I won't mention it again, Hiei.. Please. You must eat now. I doubt if you have eaten much in the past couple days.
* Hesitantly Hiei sits back down. The table falls silent. Hiei quietly scans them all as he forces himself to eat more than half the food on his plate. Their general concern is for his welfare foremost. Sarista looks up when he stands again, but this time she remains quiet. Hiei moves around the table and lays a hand on Klarice's shoulder.
Hiei- How are you doing?
* Klarice looks over her shoulder at him with a small smile.
Klarice- I'm becoming fat and lazy.. But it won't last much longer.
* Hiei lifts the hand to stroke her aqua-colored hair, struggling to repress the memory of the last time he seen Yukina's face. Klarice brings his focus back when she lays her hand on his.
Klarice- I'm going to be fine, Hiei.. Sarista and Trinka are both monitoring me.
* Hiei nods and looks next toward Lily. He notices for the first time that she's in her more humanoid form.
Hiei- You feel well enough now to keep this form, Fox?
Lily- It seems that their heat doesn't bother me as much in this form.. I've been alternating as gently as I can.
D'Tara- It's probably because this is the form you were in when they were created.
* Lily looks at D'Tara thoughtfully. As they continue conversing now about this theory Hiei looks toward Staci. Before he can speak she stands.
Staci- Pardon me while I go puke my guts out.
* Hiei sighs as she dashes away. A mere glance toward Trinka is all it takes for the mute demoness to leap up and hurry after the blonde. Assured that the rest of his pack are all okay Hiei turns and walks away toward the path that leads to the Waterfall Meadow. Celestia and Klarice look toward Sarista.
(#) Sarista- Hn.. I'll give him some time to be alone.. Then I'll go check on him.
* They both nod, then Celestia and D'Tara stand to begin clearing off the table.
