Scene 10
Scene 10 -------------- Meanwhile/Spirit World
* When the door to his office yanks open Koenma quickly fumbles with the remote to his big screen and shuts it off. Yusuke comes closer, glancing toward the now-black screen as he moves to the big desk.
Yusuke- This is great.. You're supposed to be looking for Hiei, not watching porn, Little Man.
Koenma- Whatever makes you think I was..?
Yusuke- I ain't deaf.. D---, you had the volume so loud I could hear it clean out there. Even over the racket those stooges of yours make out there.
Koenma- Is there a reason why you're here, Yusuke?
* Yusuke crosses his arms and watches the Toddler begin to stamp his endless pile of paperwork.
Yusuke- Alright, I've had it! Everytime I've come up here for the past few days you give me this cold shoulder s---..
Koenma- Watch your language! I'm just a child, you know!
* Yusuke leans on the desk to glare at the godling menacingly.
Yusuke- You better start talkin' or I'm gonna cram that binky down your baby throat!
* Koenma sighs and looks up at his former detective.
Koenma- If you're referring to Hiei..
Yusuke- You're pissing me off, Kid.
Koenma- I have told you. The apparition does not want to be found. End of story.
* Koenma starts to return to his work but Yusuke snatches the stamper.
Koenma- Yusuke! That's..!
Yusuke- You better talk to me or.. poof.
* Koenma leaps up onto his desk to seethe at Yusuke as he tries to retrieve his stamper.
Koenma- I just told you,.. you stubborn.. a--!
Yusuke- Ooo, such language.. I should wash your mouth out..
Koenma- Shut up! You have.. no idea.. how much it would cost to.. replace that! I order you to..!
Yusuke- You're not my boss anymore, Junior.. You can't order me to do anything.
Koenma- Well, I'm not Hiei's anymore, either!
* Koenma leaps off the desk, poofs into his teen form, and manages to snatch the stamper back off of the stunned Toushin.
Koenma- His parole was up as soon as the Dark Tournament ended.. If he doesn't want to be found, I have no leverage to order him to report to me or you.. Now, go deal with it, Yusuke.
* Yusuke looks at Koenma, somewhat calmer now.
Yusuke- You know where he is.
* Koenma sighs deeply, then moves back around to sit again. He shoves the stamper in one of his drawers.
Koenma- Yes. He's in Demon World.. somewhere.
Yusuke- Somewhere?
Koenma- I have no idea what region I.. found him in.. I wasn't familiar with it.. Besides that, he probably wasn't going to stay where I could find him again, anyhow.. He was very.. closed off.
Yusuke- Closed off..?
Koenma- Yes. Moreso than I've ever seen him.. He told me he didn't want anything to do with anybody..
Yusuke- And of course you just let him walk away..
* Koenma scowls back up at Yusuke.
Koenma- More like.. blurred away.. What could I do, Yusuke? He served his sentence, he's free to go wherever he wants as long as he leaves Human World alone.. He can perform all the murder and mayhem he wants in Demon World.. Enki's only made laws to kep Demon World peaceful with Human World.
Yusuke- Yeah. I know.. I've been thinking about going to have a talk with the big guy.
* Yusuke rubs his chin thoughtfully.
Koenma- Maybe.. for Hiei's sake.. You should leave Demon World like it is.
* Yusuke levels his eyes at the Teen.
Yusuke- What else do you know?
Koenma- Nothing. Don't you have a Territory full of monks to go bully? I have work to do.
* Yusuke studies Koenma a couple moments, then turns and moves to the door. He pauses with his hand on the knob.
Yusuke- If he does something stupid and ends up dead.. Or back in your jail.. You'll have a lot of demons so far up your a-- and down your throat you'll think you're in your own porn video.
* Koenma narrows his eyes at Yusuke.
Koenma- Is that a threat?
Yusuke- I don't make threats.
* With that Yusuke leaves slamming the door behind him. The Prince sighs, finds the remote again, and turns the monitor back on. When he sees that Hiei and Troi are now asleep in the cave he shuts it back off with a curse. He glances around nervously to be sure nobody heard, melts back into his Toddler form, and digs the stamper back out to return to his work.

Okay, folks. That's all for this part. The next installment will be out soon. It'll be titled HH: Searching. This part will have more of Yusuke, Kurama, and some other characters. I won't say who, you'll just have to read to find out. ;o)
