Hiei had taken Elfleda to a small clearing in the woods. “HIEI! WHAT THE HELL?”
“You aren’t going back to that jail cell.”
“Oh? And how do you suppose you are going to do that?”
“I’m helping you escape you foolish woman.”
“I have no place to go Shrimp.” Elfleda crossed her arms looking down at him. She could play this game.
“Fox says you can stay in one of his hiding holes.”
“Hole? You want me to stay in a hole?”
“It is not what you think.”
“Why are you doing all this for me? You reek of Kurama, you may not be mates but you two are super close.”
“Hn,” Elfleda slapped him across the face.
“You tell me or I will go back this instant and really kill Koemna so I will stay in jail until I DIE!” Hiei blinked twice. ‘Did she really just slap me? Is this woman even worth the trouble?’ He heard Kurama’s voice in his head remembering what the two had talked about a few days before they met the young woman.
‘Hiei when we do mate could we take a female with us? So that this way we may have little ones to take care of? You can’t have children and neither can I. ’ Kurama had said to Hiei.
‘We can adopt you know that Fox.’ Kurama snuggled closer to his fire demon.
‘I know but I want one that is part of us. And a female would be perfect to have the child feed the child natural breast milk, which is perfect for early development, and you know it would spice up once in a while.’
‘Am I not enough?’
‘Oh Hiei of course you are! I am just saying that a little spice in bed never hurt anyone. And besides while we are having fun she can take care of the child.’
‘Fine only if she is up to my standards as well as yours.’
‘OH HIEI!’ Kurama kissed him passionately and the two did the dance as old as time before falling asleep in each other’s arms.
“MeandKuramawouldlikeyoutohaveourchildafterwemateandwouldlikethatyoujoinusaswell.” Hiei spoke in one word muttering it under his breath.
“What?”
“Me and Kurama would like you to have our child after we mate and would like that you join us as well.”
Elfleda just stood there. She blinked once. Scratched the back of her head, then looked at him in the eye again. “Why?”
“You have strength, caring attitude, you are a good cook, a healer and most important Kurama likes you.”
“You really care about him, don’t you?” Elfleda smiled at Hiei. She walked over and kissed him on the cheek. “Yes I will be the mother of your and Kurama’s child. Where is this hiding hole?”
“This is the one in the Human world. He made it so that when we get pups they will live here with the mother if there was danger.”
“Where is it?”
“You see that old oak there?”
“Yes?”
“Walk over to it and move the vines. Kurama will instantly know that you are there. He made this place. When you go in some of the plants feed on Ki. Feed them if you like but don’t over do it. I don’t want to come back with you dead.”
“Understood. And Hiei?” She looked him in the eye. “Thank you.”
