Dannigurl: Thanks for all the reviews. About the last chapter, I changed the last part. Saying that instead of Yusuke being with Keiko, he would be with Evan. I’m gonna change it back cause I really don’t like Keiko and she seems like a person that would bitch about being dumped and if she had a chance she would want to get back with Yusuke. Or maybe I won’t. I think it would be more…um how shall we say….spicy? if Yusuke goes out with Evan…another guy. Idk let me know what you guys think. So I’m basically offering an apology to all the Keiko fans. If you don’t like what I did, please feel free to tell me so in a review or email me at viperbite4eva@yahoo.com. Thank you and now…..Chapter 10…..lol I have no clue what to call it…..whatever. Oh before I forget…..I’m sorry about it sounding like a soap opera….ha ha I can’t help it. They have corrupted me beyond belief. Fair warning though….It will happen again.

Chapter 10 – REVELATIONS
It’s been one month since Kurama has seen his ex-lover Yusuke Urameshi. Not that he was overly surprised though. He wouldn’t be shocked if he never say Yusuke again. The other boy had not returned his numerous calls or showed up for school or talked to Kuwabara. He had even when to Genkai but she refused to tell him anything about where Yusuke might be.
So Kurama had turned his attention to another pressing issue at hand. Finding Hiei. He wanted to rip that son of a bitch a part for what he had done. Sure, Kurama had been the dominant one by taking Hiei when he had thought it was Yusuke but that was a minor detail. Hiei couldn’t get away with what happened. He deserved to feel some of the pain that Kurama felt. Whether it was physical or emotional pain, he would feel something either one.
Flashback
After crying for what seemed like years, Kurama decided that crying wouldn’t solve anything. Someone needed to pay for what happened. He had paid the ultimate price by betraying the person he loved but Hiei needed to pay too. He was going to make sure that he did.
He went down to the kitchen to fix himself a cup of tea (you’d think he would learn by now) when he noticed that the cup that he had drank from earlier. Being the tidy person that he was, even in his distraught state, he picked the cup up and carried it to the empty sink, intending to wash it. He dumped the remaining contents of the cup when he saw small stems float in the cold, dark colored brew. Picking up the stems to dispose of them, he caught a familiar scent of a very rare herb. A herb that could only be acquired though him or so he thought. The Hyfel herb.
There was a reason why the Hyfel was rare. It had been destroyed, totally wiped out because of its effects. It had to ability to incapacitate, blinding them momentarily, causing a dizzy feeling to occur, a person depending on how physically strong that person was. The Hyfel also leaves the person in a disconcerted state for several hours after intake. But perhaps its most desired effect was its ability to mask energy signatures, making the drinker unable to read any energy signatures. There was only one other person who knew of the Hyfel’s effects and the only other person that had successfully cultivated it properly but Kurama quickly dismissed his suspicion. *It is impossible*
*Why would Hiei want to hide his energy? And why did I think that it was Yusuke that I was making love to?* As Kurama began to question what happened, he realized that several things didn’t fit together. First being that one moment he was talking and sipping tea with Hiei, the next moment he was on the floor after suffering from a dizzy spell with Yusuke gazing at him with concern etched in his face, then he’s waking up lying in bed next to Hiei with evidence of them having sex everywhere.
The second thing that wasn’t quite right was that after he had sex with “Yusuke” he didn’t notice any flowers or any plant life around. It was the same as when they had first entered. He hadn’t even registered that fact but now he realized his error.
What he still couldn’t figure out was why he took that he had been making love with Yusuke when it was really Hiei that he was ramming into. He needed answers. With that decided, Kurama dragged some clothes on and left to go see Koenma. He would know what he should do and where he could find Hiei.
End Flashback
Now, a month later Kurama had all the answers that he needed. And his revenge had been exacted, though he didn’t feel any better. He had went to see Koenma and was told that Hiei had been on mission for over a month and there was no way that he could have possibly held responsible for what happened.
Kurama had stood still, his well honed mask of indifference plastered on his face. Koenma also added that he had the location of the person that had all the answers he needed. His only warning was that Kurama be on guard at all times because it could prove to be dangerous.
So Kurama went to the disclosed the address, which happened to be a beautiful and opulent hotel. He didn’t know how he would find answers here but he headed straight to the Presidential suite. The elevator ride seemed to last a lifetime before it reached the top floor. As soon as he stepped out of the elevator he felt a familiar energy and felt a tiny surge of fear.
He opened door without the customary knock and surveyed the room, his eyes resting on the tall, lone figure that stood gazing out of the window. The man’s long, dark hair grazing the small of his back, his long, black raincoat clinging to his slender form, a form that Kurama remembered well.
“You disappoint me Kurama. I thought that you would have figured it out by now. I have been expecting you for quite some time.” The man said without preamble, never turning his gaze from the breathtaking view of the city at night.
“You are correct. I was too blinded by my emotions to see the truth.” Kurama responded, his voice bland.
“I have been pondering this question for a while. Was is it as good for me as it was for m—“ the man never got to finish his question. It was impossible since he no longer had a head to speak with. Kurama called back his rose whip as he walked over to Karasu’s decapitated body. He stared the body with the blood pooling around it like a crimson halo and planted several seeds of deadly plants into Karasu’s dead body. *This time I’m going to make sure that you stay dead*
Kurama shook his head as he tried to clear his troubled thoughts. He sat disinterestedly in his seat, trying to pay attention to what his teacher was saying but failing miserably. The bell finally rang signaling the end of the school day and Kurama could not remember a time when he was so glad to be released from school. He walked with unseeing eyes in the direction of his house, starting when he heard a familiar voice.
“I heard what happened. I’m sorry.” Hiei said softly.
“Hiei you do realize that you have just spoken the most that I have ever heard you speak in your entire life.” Kurama joked, his poor attempt at humor not lost on Hiei.
“Have you told him what really happened?”
“I have not seen him. No one knows where he is or if they do, they have chosen not to share with me.” The youko said, his sadness evident in his voice.
“I myself do not know where Yusuke is. Kuwabara is having a get together tonight. He asked me to invite you. I think you should go.”
“Will you be there?” Kurama asked, not wishing to face his friends alone.
“If you need me to be there, I will be.”
Smiling Kurama gave a soft thank you. He didn’t know if Hiei had heard him since he had just gone off again. *Maybe this will be good for me. I can surround myself with familiar faces. I will be distracted and everything will not remind me of him.* Feeling a bit better about the fact that tonight he would do something other cry himself to sleep, Kurama headed home to prepare for later that night.

Later that night……..
The party had already started when Kurama had arrived nervously with Hiei at his side. Now he and Hiei sat on Kuwabara’s couch watching Keiko, who was surprising civil to Kurama, Botan, Shizuru, Yukina and Kuwabara play a very heated game of poker. The party was filled with laughter and merriment, a few of those laughs coming from Kurama. Then the doorbell rang.
“Could ya get that for me Kurama?” Kuwabara yelled, not once breaking his concentration on trying to put on his best poker face.
“Of course Kuwabara.”
Kurama walked to the open and swung it open, stopping and letting his face fall into an unreadable mask. He eyed the new arrivals with cool aloofness.
“Yusuke, I did not expect you to be here.” He said coolly.
“I didn’t expect to see you either.” Yusuke said staring Kurama directly, his gaze holding something akin to pure hatred. He turned to the handsome man next to him before returning his eyes to Kurama. “Kurama, you remember Evan don’t ya?”
Kurama swallowed the lump that had mysteriously formed in his throat and blinked back sudden tears. He would not let Yusuke see how much he had hurt him. “Why yes. Yes of course.”
“Nice to meet you Kurama.” Evan said warmly, stretching his arm to shake Kurama’s hand. Kurama peered at Evan’s hand disdainfully, wondering if he should shake it. Grasping, Evan’s hand firmly, Kurama shaked the other man’s hand. “It’s a pleasure to meet you Evan. Any friend of Yusuke is a friend of mine.”
“Oh I think that we’re a little more than friends after last night.” Evan said with a chuckle that ending abruptly as he felt Kurama’s grip tighten immensely. At Evan’s wince Kurama immediately left go of Evan’s hand, an embarrassed blush dusting his fair cheeks. “Please, come in.” He said softly.
Yusuke and Evan, the *waiter*, walked to the living where silence greeted them. Everyone passed uneasy looks to each other. The air was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Kurama stood behind Yusuke with sad eyes and ignored the pitying looks that everyone gave him.
Yusuke headed toward an empty chair pausing only to give a glower at Hiei before settling himself at the farthest point in the room, with Evan close behind. Kurama returned to his seat next to Hiei. After sitting, Kurama felt Hiei’s hand holding his. Kurama gave Hiei a questioning look, only to see Hiei’s eyes indicating towards Yusuke and his guest.
Kurama slowly turned his gaze in their direction, only to have his eyes collide with Yusuke’s heated gaze. Kurama raised an eyebrow in a silent question. Kuwabara witnessing this small exchange said in a cheerful voice, “Hey now that everyone is here, let’s get this party started.” He and everyone else knew that this was going to be an interesting night.
