Chapter One : Pain Inside
~*~*~
He hugged himself and closed his pupilless eyes tightly as tears threatened to roll down his cheeks. No...he wouldn’t give him the satisfaction of knowing that it hurt this badly. He wouldn’t cry. He refused.
He hadn’t even been able to even semi-defend against a single one of the punches that Reisho delt to him. He winced as his arm touched a bruise on his chest, but he ignored it. He sighed deeply. He was heartbroken. Many would laugh if they heard that; the mere suggestion of Touya having a heart was laughable in the eyes of many.
Had Jin meant to hurt the Ice Master this badly? Touya assumeat hat he hadn’t; Jin was too happy and liked everyone too much. It was most likely and accident...but that didn’t stop the pain. He opened one eye and watched the retreating backs of Reisho and Bakken.
Touya felt a hand on his shoulder and looked at the owner; he had thought it would be Jin. It wasn’t. It was Taka, a green-haired Fire Master. Touya winced slightly. He couldn’t stand being touched by her; it burned him. He took a step away from her.
After Gama had died in the Ankoku Bujutsukai, Jin and Touya had gone off training with Genkai along with Shishiwakamaru, Suzuki, Rinku, and Chu. They had then fought with Kurama in the Makai Bujutsukai. During that time, Reisho and Bakken had decided to replace Gama, and Taka was the only Master in their region of the Reikai.
“What do you want, Taka?” Touya asked, closing his eyes again. Taka grinned slightly, causing the Ice Master to roll his eyes. That was a stupid question. He knew what she wanted; the same thing she always wanted. Him. The Fire Master had a nasty habit of clinging to him whenever he was around.
Touya sighed and waved one hand absently. “Never mind. Forget I asked,” he said softly before walking off.
He sighed and leapt into a tree, crossing his arms over his chest and closing his eyes once more. His thoughts drifted to the red-haired Wind Master again. He had been in love with him for....how long? A century? More? He couldn’t exactly remember. He just knew that it was back when they were Masters-in-training.
That had been almost 300 years ago, and Touya still loved the slightly older demon. He loved the way he laughed and grinned, even when someone was making fun of him. He even laughed when Touya whacked him, for crying out loud! But now...he knew that the Wind Master didn’t feel the same way about him. He shook his head slowly.
~Flashback : Two hours before~
Jin grinned and laughed, crossing his arms over his chest and sitting in mid-air. Reisho rolled his eyes and Touya closed his own, shaking his head slowly. Reisho was trying to talk Touya, Jin, and Taka into having kids or at least getting apprentices so that they could teach someone their techniques.
Taka grinned happily. “I’ll be Touya’s mate!” she chirped happily, causing the Ice Master to fall over twitching. He muttered darkly under his breath, standing up. Taka jumped up and down in front of Jin like a hyperactive three-year-old. “Can I, Jin? Huh? Can I? Please?”
Jin laughed. “Yeh’ve had coffee, haven’ yeh?” he asked. Coffee always made the Fire Master hyper. It was the same with Jin and chocolate and, surprisingly, Touya and cotton candy. Taka nodded rapidly. “So can I?? PLEEEEEAAAAASE?” she whined. Jin winced and rubbed his ear before laughing.
“Go a’ead. No one else wan’s ‘im anyways,” he said teasingly. Even though he was just kidding, Touya seemed to take him seriously. His eyes widened considerably at the Wind Master before softening; Jin could have sworn he saw them become glossy.
“Touya...?” Jin asked uncertainly, his own eyes filling with worry immediately: very uncharacteristic for him. The shorter demon ignored him as he closed his eyes before turning and walking off. Reisho narrowed his eyes immediately; he knew exactly what was going on.
He had always suspected that Touya was in love with Jin, but he had never really had any proof until now. The Earth Master didn’t like that fact. It would mess up the whole of the Shinobi’s fighting spirit if two of the Shinobi were a couple.
He would have to punish Touya.
~*~*~
Touya sighed and stopped a distance away from where he had been, tears rolling down his cheeks. “Jin...” he whispered softly, closing his eyes. They shot open in surprise and fear when a strong hand gripped his shoulder and spun him around sharply.
The Earth Master gave the smaller Ice Master a deadly glare before punching him _hard_ in the stomach, causing him to cough up a little blood. Touya fell to the ground as Reisho stood over him, still glaring. “You love him, don’t you??” Reisho yelled, looking furious.
Touya stared up at him with eyes filled with fear. “I-I...” he stammered. “DON’T YOU??” Reisho yelled even louder, kicking him in the side and causing him to roll a couple of feet away.
That was one of two uses for Touya in Reisho’s eyes: a fighter and a punching bag. Since Touya wouldn’t fight back unless it was a true fight, he was the only Shinobi who wouldn’t hit back. He had tried using Jin once, but after getting hit with the Wind Master’s Tornado Fist, he scratched that idea.
Reisho growled and picked Touya up by the front of his shirt. “Answer me,” he hissed lowly.
“H-hai,” Touya stuttered after a second. Reisho growled and switched his grip on Touya’s shirt from the front to the back, holding him about half a foot off the ground with his left hand and punching him repeatedly in the stomach with his right. Touya coughed up blood on each hit, not even noticing Bakken as he walked up. He always loved watching Reisho beat the Ice Master up.
After knocking Touya around for a while, Reisho finally let Touya fall. Whenever the blue-haired demon could barely stand was when Reisho stopped.
Touya got weakly to his knees before falling foreward again, standing up after about five minutes. Reisho smirked slightly. “That’s enough for now, Touya. Next time I get mad, I’ll come back.”
~End Flashback~
Touya sighed and leapt out of the tree, walking slowly back to a portal and going into the Ningenkai, where he lived. He had been told to keep and eye on the Reikai Tantei so that they didn’t get in trouble. He had an apartment that Koenma had given to him, and he could cook...sort of...so it wasn’t really that bad.
Touya sighed and walked to the door of his apartment, unlocking it and walking though. His eyes widened immediately before narrowing as he saw Jin sitting on his couch. He felt a soft breeze and mentally cursed himself for leaving the window open.
“What do you want, Windy?” Touya asked flatly, looking at Jin. The Wind Master sighed softly and closed his eyes, standing up slowly. “I’m sorry,” he said softly.
Touya closed his eyes and shook his head. “Don’t be...you’re right. No one except Taka wants me,” he said quietly. Jin sighed again and walked over to him. “Tha’s no’ true... one other person wan’s yeh,” he said softly.
Touya laughed dryly, keeping his eyes closed. “Really?” he asked softly and skeptically. “Who?” His eyes opened and a soft blush crossed his cheeks as Jin gently grabbed him by the chin and tilted his head up. “I do,” he whispered before kissing the Ice Master gently.
Touya’s eyes widened considerably before sliding shut as he leaned into the kiss, wrapping his arms around Jin’s neck as the red-haired demon’s arms slowly wrapped around his waist, causing the Ice Master’s blush to darken.
Touya broke the kiss after a minute, keeping his arms wrapped around Jin’s neck. “Are you serious, Windy...?” he asked softly. Jin smiled gently and nodded, causing the Ice Master to smile faintly.
Touya blinked in surprise as Jin moved one of his arms from the smaller demon’s waist and bent down slightly, picking the Ice er uer up. The red head then smiled again and kissed Touya softly before carrying him to the bedroom and laying him down gently, sitting on his knees in between the blue-haired man’s legs.
Touya sat up slowly and stared into Jin’s eyes, waiting for him to start laughing and say he was just kidding. It didn’t come. Instead, Jin smiled faintly before reaching down and gently pulling the white wrap around Touya’s waist and shoulder off, causing the Ice Master to blush faintly again.
Touya then sighed. “Jin....will you ever do anything like that again?” he asked softly. The Wind Master smiled faintly, cupping Touya’s cheek in his hand. “Touya...I promise never t’ hur’ yeh again. Never.” The Ice Master smiled and leaned into Jin’s caress gently.
Jin then moved down and slowly pulled off Touya’s dark blue tank top, and then the net-like gray shirt underneath it. The Wind Master’s eyes widened slightly before softening as he gently made Touya lay back down. “Yeh have a lo’ o’ bruises,” he said softly before moving his head down and kissing them gently.
Touya moaned softly and closed his eyes as Jin kissed one of his pale nipples, and then the other. He gladly welcomed another soft kiss from the taller demon, and smiled faintly, wrapping his arms around Jin’s neck as the Wind Master ran his tongue over the smaller demon’s lower lip. The Ice Master opened his mouth slowly but gladly, allowing the red head to slip his tongue into Touya’s mouth.

Touya sighed and opened one eye before yawning and attempting to sit up in bed. He just got pulled down again by the demon beside him. “Dun move,” Jin muttered sleepily, pulling the Ice Master to his chest and burying his face in his neck, wrapping his arms around the smaller demon’s waist.
Touya laughed softly. “I have to get up, Windy,” he said, poking the Wind Master’s hands. “No yeh don’,” Jin said, his voice muffled by the Ice Master’s neck. Touya rolled his eyes but smiled faintly and closed his eyes, giving in to the red head.
Touya sighed softly. They had been together for six months. However, they had had to keep their relationship a secret so that Reisho didn’t try to actually kill Touya or anything. No one - not even the Reikai Tantei - knew about their relationship. Well, except for Taka. She knew Touya’s scent so well from clinging to him so much that she detected Jin on him right away. Thankfully, she didn’t tell Bakken or Reisho.
“Come on, Windy, lemme go,” he said with a sweatdrop. Jin sighed reluctantly and let Touya go slowly. Touya laughed softly and turned, kissing Jin softly before walking into the bathroom to take a shower.
He caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror and grinned slightly when he saw two small, red puncture wounds on his neck. ‘He marked me,’ the Ice Master thought happily. Marking was a very territorial thing in the Makai; they marked lovers that they desired to be theirs and only theirs. If a demon was marked, he or she was off-limits to any other demon except the one who marked them. The entire process was simple; all demons had fangs, so all they did was bite down quickly on their partner’s neck and it left a permanent scar.
After a quick shower, Touya dressed in a blue tank top and jeans; Jin had convinced him to wear fewer clothes so it would be easier for the Wind Master to take them off.
Touya laughed softly and shook his head slowly at the memory, walking back into the bedroom. He noticed that Jin wasn’t in bed any more; he didn’t think about it until he began to pass the bed and got tackled, landing on the mattress with a certain Wind Master straddling his waist and kissing his neck gently.
The blue-haired demon groaned. “Oversexed baka,” he muttered. Jin grinned into Touya’s neck. “Thank yeh,” he said before kissing his neck again. Touya laughed and pushed on Jin’s chest. “Come on, I need to make breakfast. I’m hungry,” he said, pouting slightly.
Jin sighed. “Aw....all righ’...” he muttered before grinning hopefully. “Tonigh’, then?” Touya laughed again. “All right, all right, calm down.” Jin grinned broadly and got off of the Ice Master, allowing him to stand up
~*~*~
After a quick breakfast, Jin decided to leave for a while. Touya let him, glad to have a break from the Wind Master kissing his neck constantly. The red head hummed happily, walking down the street. Touya had made him wear more inconspicuous ningen clothing: a simple white tanktop tucked into his white pants with black shoes and a brown leather hat that covered his elf-like ears and his small horn.
Jin found the nearby portal to the Makai and leapt into it, humming happily. He walked around for a while before blinking as someone poked him on the shoulder from behind. He turned around and smiled faintly at Taka.
Taka grinned at him. “Jin, I wanted to ask you something...” Jin raised an eyebrow. “Yeah?” he asked. Taka sighed. “I....wanna kill Reisho. Will you help me?” Jin’s eyes widened. “Nani...?” The Fire Master sighed again. “Please help me. Please, Jin.”
Jin sighed and closed his eyes. If Reisho was dead...then he could never hurt Touya again. “All righ’,” he said. Taka smiled broadly. “Thank you!” she said before turning and running off. Jin blinked and scratched the back of his head before shrugging and flying off.
As soon as Jin couldn’t see her any more, Taka narrowed her eyes dangerously. ‘That bastard....he took _my_ Touya away from me. I can’t let that happen. By the time I’m through, _WINDY_, Touya will be mine. He’ll hate you. Won’t that be...nice?’ she thought, smirking.
