Loving Penpal
"Come on. Come on. Move you damn hand!" you seethed in your mind.
The last period of the school day and you watch as the minute hand on the clock seems to be going slower than faster. Also, to make matters worse, Carl Flint unfortunately sat beside you today. You swore that guy only took showers once a year. You kept watching the clock trying to keep your calm as the teacher gave a last minute speech before the weekend started.
"One more minute," you whispered under your breath. Now tapping your right foot to the tick-tock of the minute hand.
You couldn't wait to get home. You were anticipating a package from your Japanese penpal who you've kept in contact with since the fourth grade. His name was Shuichi Minamino and was one of your best friends. It didn't matter that you never even met the guy face to face and so didn't know what he looked like; he was your one friend when others didn't give a damn about you and gave out great advice. Even when you both were younger, he always seemed much older by the way he wrote his letters; but it was only because he was a boy genius you concluded.
You were lost in your thoughts when....
