Full Summary: Kuwabara has been a slave for three years. However, it hasn’t changed his attitude too much, especially since he’s dealing with a shrimp for a master; however when he meets a teen his own age who is just as tough as he is, what will happen? And how will Hiei deal with his ‘servant’ having feelings for another?

Hey!! ^^ I changed the name because it fits better with the story! This is my Karasu muses' idea! He threw out this pairing and I was like ‘that hasn’t been done before.’ So I was stuck for a while before my good friend Faith gave me this basic idea, but I edited it and changed it to my own idea, though the basic idea about Hiei owning Kuwabara as a slave and have Yusuke meet Kuwa somehow was HER idea. Everything else was mine ^^, but I would like to thank her and dedicate this story to her and my muse ^^.

This is a weird pairing and I know no one’s done it. I’ve seen a Kurama/Yusuke/Hiei story or a Kurama/Hiei/Kuwa story, but never a Hiei/Kuwa/Yusuke or even a Kurama/Kuwa/Yusuke story ^^;; In this story, Kuwa is ALWAYS going to be uke…so ^^ that means Hiei and Yusuke are seme and are also uke, though to each other ^^ so I am going to be pleasing those Hiei/Kuwa, Hiei/Yusuke, Yusuke/Kuwa, and Yusuke/Hiei fans out there ^^ ((first is seme/ second is uke)). ^^.

I hope you guys like this ^^, because it’s original to say the least and I thank Faith for helping me with the basic story line and my Karasu muse for the pairing ^__^.

Chapter One: Kuwabara Kazuma

Kuwabara walked the streets of Sarayashiki City; a city he used to live in before he was captured by his master. He was eleven when he was taken away from this city; from his family. However Kuwabara couldn’t think about that at the moment for he was on a mission. A mission that went against all of his principles, however he wasn’t going to be the one stealing the three artifacts from the Great King Enma’s vault. No, that job was left to his master, Hiei, and two other demons. That was Kuwabara’s mission; retrieving one of the demons for the heist.

Hiei had met this demon a year earlier on a rescue mission to save him; Kuwabara. He had gone out to buy some supplies for his master when an enemy of Hiei’s snatched him and threatened to eat Kuwabara if Hiei didn’t show up at a certain time. Kuwabara was told that Hiei had mistaken this Kurama fellow as being one of the henchmen of Nine-Hands; but learned that he too was an enemy of the vile creator. The two joined forces and killed the demon and saved Kuwabara, who was unconscious, however Hiei had already known where the humanoid Youko lived.

Kuwabara had heard the legends of how an infamous kitsune bandit was hunted and killed by one of the rei kai soldiers. He had also learned from Master Hiei that the red haired, green eyed teen was that very same Youko; escaping into the human world and into the womb of woman who was with child. To Kuwabara, he figured that made Youko half human, however Master Hiei had told him, or rather scoffed, that he was still Youko, just in the form of a humanoid. Kuwabara didn’t completely understand the concept, but figured that it must have meant somewhere along the lines that he’s more demon then human.

Kuwabara looked up at the street sign and read the name of the street. He took out the piece of paper Hiei gave him, even though he had told his master that he would find the house with out the ‘stupid’ directions. However, his master had a way with words, letting Kuwabara get the point both literally and figuratively many times.

Kuwabara sighed.

“Well here’s the street.” Kuwabara said aloud, turning down the street.

Kuwabara shoved his hands into his blue pants and kicked a rock with his foot. He didn’t like being considered Hiei’s ‘servant’ as Kuwabara’s master would call him. Hiei didn’t believe in owning slaves, and whenever Kuwabara would argue about that he would get a lashing from the fire demon. Kuwabara sighed and gently touched the black collar on his neck. If he could only get it off then he would be able to escape Hiei. As long as Kuwabara wore that collar, Hiei could find Kuwabara no matter where he was.

Kuwabara was so much in thought that he didn’t realize the guy in front of him wasn’t paying attention either. The two teens bumped into each other, both snapping out of what they had been thinking.
“Watch where yer going!” said the guy, looking up at Kuwabara with a glare.

Kuwabara, having seen scarier glares from Hiei, snorted.

“Sorry.”

The guy narrowed his eyes at Kuwabara.

“I don’t think you’re really sorry.” The teen said.

“Hey I said it so back off.” Kuwabara said.

“You don’t know who yer talkin’ to.”

“Same could be said for you.” Kuwabara said.

“You really don’t know me huh? I’m Urameshi Yusuke!” the boy said with a grin.

Kuwabara stared at him uninterested.

“So? My names Kuwabara Kazuma, but that doesn’t mean I’m king of the world.” Kuwabara said.

Yusuke growled, not liking the fact that the guy not only hadn’t heard of him and his bad rep, but the guy wasn’t trembling in fear just by looking at him.

“Well, I guess I’ll have to show you why I’m the badest punk in this district.” Yusuke said, cracking his knuckles.

Kuwabara rolled his eyes.

“Great, a punk; listen kid, I don’t have anytime for this crap, I’m on a mission.” Kuwabara said.

Yusuke growled.

“I’m not a kid! I’m 14 years old!”

Kuwabara blinked at Yusuke.

“Really? So am I! Cool!” Kuwabara said, excited that he had met a guy his own age.

Hiei wasn’t a social person so Kuwabara didn’t get to go out too much, meaning he had no human contact unless his master was going to go out. However, Hiei had trusted his ‘servant’ to not mess up this mission and let him go on his own.
Kuwabara shook his head. He needed to prove to Hiei that he could be trusted to complete a task, especially after what happened the last time he was allowed out; being kidnapped. That was a year ago, and it had take Hiei a year to trust the human to not get kidnapped by one of his enemies. Kuwabara wanted to have more freedom and he wasn’t going to mess that up, and that included not letting the punk in front of him mess up his chances either.

“What? Have you been under a rock or something? Geeze, you’re acting like you haven’t been out or something!” Yususke said.

“Cause I haven’t.” mumbled Kuwabara.

Yusuke heard that, but barely. He looked at the guy that was the same age as he.

“Listen, I got something I gotta do before I get in trouble.” Kuwabara said, moving around Yusuke.

Yusuke didn’t like being blown off, and grabbed Kuwabara’s arm. However, that wasn’t the only reason he stopped the teen. He was curious to what Kuwabara had meant by ‘not getting out’. He didn’t know why, but he was curious. Kuwabara froze. Both teens felt a volt between them and stood there for a few minutes.

Kuwabara turned to Yusuke with narrowed eyes.

“Let me go.” He said.

Yusuke looked at the teen and noticed how his brown eyes held a different look then he had ever seen before. Yusuke couldn’t explain the jolt or that look, but all he knew was he didn’t want to let the teen go any further.

“Make me.” Yusuke said.

Kuwabara’s teeth clenched at that.

“I’ll ask you again, let go.”

“No. I don’t know what mission you’re on and I don’t give a damn. I want to know why I haven’t seen you around before.” Yusuke said.

Kuwabara glared at him.

“It’s none of yer business, so just let me go so I can finish what I came to do.” Kuwabara growled.

“Like I said; make me.” Yusuke said his eyes filled with defiance and fire.

Kuwabara sighed.

“Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

Kuwabara swung his fist and was surprised that the teen caught his hand, without even looking at the attack. Yusuke gave Kuwabara a cocky grin, however it didn’t last long as Kuwabara pulled himself backwards and swung Yusuke around, causing him to fly backwards. Yusuke was sent crashing into a near by tree. Kuwabara stood there for a moment before straightening himself up.

“I warned you.” He said before turning to leave.

“Not so fast!”

Kuwabara stopped and turned around just in time to get punched in his face, sending him skidding backwards a bit; blood slowly falling down his split lip. Kuwabara wiped the blood away with the back of his hand and spit out some that came into his mouth. Yusuke stood a few feet in front of him, with his cloths messed up.

“Alright, I haven’t had a good sparing match with Hiei for a while, so I’ll give myself a warm up.” Kuwabara said, getting into a fighting stance.

Yusuke grinned, having a feeling he had finally found a worthy opponent to face off that wasn’t a demon.

“Bring it on bitch.” Yusuke said with a grin.

Kuwabara growled and rushed forward. Yusuke was surprised at how fast the teen was and quickly blocked the on coming attack that was a rapid on fire of punches that seemed as if they would never end. Yusuke jumped back and away from the onslaught; shocking the teen and causing him to falter a bit.

This gave Yusuke a chance and he jumped back in front of Kuwabara, hitting him with a fury of punches. Yusuke was about to give Kuwabara one final punch when Kuwabara ducked and hit Yusuke dead on with an upper cut to his gut. Yusuke flies upwards and does a few back flips in the air and lands on his feet. Both teens stand across one another out of breath. They both gave a grin at each other.

“Seems like we’re at a stale mate huh?” Yusuke said, as sweat dripped down his forehead.

“Yeah.” breathed Kuwabara sweat dripping from his pores, as well.

The two stood there just looking at each other.

“Well, why don’t we finish this?” Yusuke asked with a huge grin.
Kuwabara grinned back.

“Yeah.”

They both took in one last breath before charging at each other; both giving a battle cry as they started to throw their fists at the other as they blocked the other’s attack. Finally Yusuke noticed an opening Kuwabara left open and without even hesitating punched all of his might into Kuwabara’s gut; causing spit and blood to fly out of Kuwabara’s mouth as he was sent backwards and into a tree. Kuwabara’s body stayed pinned in his own imprint in the tree for a few minutes before his body fell limp to the ground.

The last thing Kuwabara say was the teen walking up to him with a grin before it turned to concern.

Hiei’s angry face flashed before Kuwabara’s eyes.

“Damn…I’m dead…” Kuwabara muttered before he passed out.

Yusuke had seen some pretty weird stuff in his short life, but he thought this might have been the weirdest. It had not even been a week since he had come back from being dead; having been hit by a car trying to save a kid who would have survived anyway. That was a month and a half ago, and now he was back from the dead. One would think after dying and being brought back to life that they wouldn’t be bothered by the Spirit World. That was not so with Yusuke.

He had learned from the deity of death; who happened to be a very bubbly and beautiful woman very different from what most think of when they think of death, that he was the new detective for Spirit World. Botan, the angel of death, had just given Yusuke his first mission. It pertained to him finding a demon who would manipulate a human’s heart to commit evil acts; however the person must already have evil in his heart in order for the little creator to take full control over his victim.

That is how Yusuke had met the strange teen who called him self Kuwabara Kazuma; a name that sounded familiar, though only the last name. Yusuke watched the teen sleep in his bed, having taken Kuwabara back to his place. He had felt sorry for beating up the poor guy. Yusuke didn’t know why he felt compelled to help the guy. However, it was something in his eyes.

Yusuke had seen sadness and something else that he never seen before. It made him felt like he wanted to help him, or maybe even protect him. From what, Yusuke wasn’t too sure of; though he did get the feeling it had to do with someone named Hiei. It was amazing at what Kuwabara said while dead asleep.

Yusuke sat in his chair next to the bed and looked over the bandaged boy. He didn’t seem to be any older then him, though his appearance looked as if it had seen thousands of battles. Scars and old wounds covered his body, now having new ones appear thanks to one Urameshi Yusuke. Yusuke sighed and ran his fingers through his slicked back black hair. He couldn’t stop thinking about that name. He had heard it before, but where he couldn’t remember. His eyes widened as a memory ran through his mind.

(Flash back)

Yusuke watched as Keiko pulled his body out of his apartment that was now engulfed in flames. He let out a sigh of relief that she made it out alright. He watched as Keiko tried to pull him away from the crowd, though Keiko wasn’t a very strong person and was having major difficulty with carrying his comatose body.

Keiko seemed to panic a bit, not wanting to be asked any questions about why Yusuke wasn’t moving. She didn’t know what to do however a woman who was much older then Keiko, though looked to be in her early twenties, came up to her with a calm face and looked between her and Yusuke’s calm face.

“Follow me, I’ll take you someplace safe.” She said in a dry voice.

Keiko hesitated not sure if she should follow this strange girl or to try and pull Yusuke all by her self. She turned back and noticed a few people seemed to notice her and started to come to her with questioning and curious eyes. Keiko looked back towards the woman and nodded, letting the woman pick Yusuke up and grab her hand, running away from the crowd.

Yusuke sighed in relief, but it didn’t last long when Koenma told him that because he, Koenma, had to intervene and help Keiko(1) that Keiko had to trade something very important for it. Yusuke’s eyes widened when Koenma told him it was a part of her body.

Yusuke flew off towards the direction he saw Keiko and that woman went in. He flew over the city, searching until he finally saw Keiko walking out of a house. He rushed downward and stopped short when he noticed Keiko’s hair was cut short and was wearing clothes that seemed to be from the woman.

“Thank you so much Ms. Kuwabara.” Keiko said, bowing.

“Shizuru, my name’s Shizuru. Don’t worry about your friend. He can sleep in my little….guest room until his mother can pick him up in the morning or something.” Shizuru said, having a cigarette hanging from her mouth.

“Oh you don’t have to…” Keiko started.

“Relax. My parents keep their noses out of this kind of stuff….especially after what happened….” Shizuru mumbled that last part before turning to Keiko with a smile.

“Do you like the hair cut?”

“Oh yes, you did a really great job, Shizuru-san.” Keiko said.

“That’s my job. If you ever need any more help, don’t hesitate to come over.” Shizuru said with a smile.

Keiko smiled back and nodded before turning around, waving as she went back to her home.

(End Flashback)


Yusuke looked at the teen that slept peacefully on his bed.

‘Could he somehow be related to that girl who helped Keiko?’ Yusuke thought.

He was brought out of his thoughts as his mother’s sober voice rang through the other side of his door.

“Yusuke, you have a visitor…a girl named Botan…if you’re cheating on Keiko I swear I’ll…!” shouted Astuko.

“I’m not cheatin’ on Keiko cause we’re not even going out! Besides, Botan’s just a friend!” Yusuke shouted through the door

“Well, why don’t you stop being rude and come out here!” Astuko said.

Yusuke sighed and got up, heading towards the door, however he stopped to look back at the teen that had left so many questions floating around in his head.

‘When he wakes up I’m gonna get some answers…’ he thinks before exiting his room, leaving a slumbering Kuwabara.

However, a light breeze came through the open window, the curtains gently flowing into the room as a dark figure landed quietly on the floor. A scowl was on the dark one’s face as he looked at the slumbering injured man.

“Fool, I give you a simple task and you still get yourself kidnapped.” scoffed the cloaked figure before he picked up Kuwabara; who was much bigger then him self, before quickly leaving the room through the open window; the curtains blowing outward as the two left the room.
