Kurama walked down the sidewalk to his house. School had been long and boring. He was ready to get home and relax like any normal person. But he knew he wasn’t like a normal person. He was a demon. He had other important things to do then lay around the house and watch television.

Today he had to meet up with the gang at Genkai’s temple to train before they ventured into the demon realm tomorrow to fight some bad guys that had been causing trouble. It was just another thing that seemed to be happening a lot lately.

Finally reaching his house, he took out his keys and let himself in. The air condition greeted him as he entered. The cool air making him sigh in contentment since today was one of the hottest in the last few weeks.

As he closed the door he stopped. Something was different. He could feel a demon energy in his house.

At once he was on guard, already with a rose in hand as he sent down his books on the kitchen table and headed up stairs where he felt the energy was at.

The presence of energy was in his room. He knew for sure. As he began to open his doe ree relaxed. Finally comprehending exactly whose energy it was.

“Your lucky I realized whose energy was in my room. I was about to attach you.” He said as he entered his room placing the rose on his desk.

“I would have killed you before you struck.”

Turning to face the little fire demon that sat on his windowsill, Kurama just smiled. “Of course you would of Hiei. So what brings you here. I was going to head over to the temple in a little while.”

“I got bored of listening to that orange headed baka. I thought I would come see what you where doing. Where have you been?” Hiei watched as Kurama started to gather up some of his clothes into a bag.

“Today was the last day of school before summer vacation.”

“I don’t understand why you go to some human school. And why wasn’t the baka and Yusuke in school as well?”

Kurama looked up from what he was doing to glance at Hiei. “I go to a different school then them, their last day was yesterday. And I go because I am human.”

“No you’re not. You’re just in a human body. Your still Yoko Kurama.” Hiei walked over he bhe bed and sat Indian style facing Kurama, his sword laid across his lap.

“I’m nothing like I was before. I’ve changed a lot, Hiei. Don’t you think I have?”

“You’ve become softer. Something a demon shouldn’t be.”

Kurama shook his head slightly as he finished packing some clothes for the trip to Genkai’s. “That should be enough for a couple of weeks. If you’ll excuse me I’m going to get out of this school uniform.” Kurama grabbed some clothes before heading to the bathroom across the hall from his room.

Hiei looked around Kurama’s room whilewaitwaited for him to return. It was obvious to anyone that knew Kurama that this was his room. From the deep green silk sheets on the bed to the dozens of roses in vases all around the room. It was clean without the tiniest bit of mess anywhere to be seen.

Hiei didn’t think that any other teenager would have a room like this. He knew for a fact that neither Kuwabara nor Yusuke did. But it didn’t surprise him that Kurama was maturer than they were. After all, Kurama had lived longer then them.

Kurama walked back in the room dressed in a pair of loose fitting jeans and dark green T-shirt. “Do you want to go to the temple now or would you like something to eat first?”

“Food.”

“Good, I’m kinda hungry too. Come on.” Kurama gra his his bag before walking out the room and down the stairs followed at a short distance by Hiei.

He set his bag in one of the chairs around the table before heading into the kitchen to look in the refrigerator. “Let’s see. What would you like, Hiei?”

“Ice cream.”

Kurama chuckled. “Well, I guess that would be alright. Would you please get the bowls and spoons?” He got the Cherry Jubilee ice cream from the freezer and headed toward the table, waiting on Hiei.

After handing the bowls and a spoon to Kurama, Hiei sat down with his spoon and waited for the delicious cold treat that Kurama had introduced him to not long ago. He had fell in love with the human sweet. Which both of them found odd seeing that Hiei was a fire demon and hated the cold.

Kurama spooned them both out some ice cream before placing Hiei’s in front of him and returning the container to the freezer. Sitting down next to Hiei he began to eat his ice cream.

“Are you ready to train, Hiei?” Kurama asked as they ate their little treat.

“I don’t see the point of me and you training with them. We are already well passed the others in skill.”

“Yes, but training will help us keep up our skill. You don’t want to get lazy and end up losing a battle to Kuwabara do you?”

“You now that I never lose, especially to that baka.” Hiei licked his spoon before filling it up again.

“What of these demons we are suppose to fight? Do you know anything about them?” Kurama knew not to press the matter of Hiei’s fighting ability. He had killed demons just for looking at him f hef he couldn’t do anything.

“That matter has been taken care of. We’re only going to be training nothing more.” He sled his empty bowl away from him and crossed his arms over his chest, looking out the kitchen window.

“What,” Kurama looked up from his bowl, “Why wasn’t I told this?”

“They were dealt with this morning. I guess you were in school.”

Kurama got up and placed both of their bowls in the dishwasher. “Well, I guess we could go if you are ready.”

“I don’t feel like dealing with the baka yet. Besides Yukina will still be there.” The last was barely in a whisper. Hiei hoped that Kurama hadn’t heard him, but he was wrong.

“You still won’t tell her you’re her brother. Why not? She will understand and you know that she will. You wouldn’t be af…afraid, would you?” Even though they had known each other for some time now, Kurama was still nervous about speaking negatively on the subject of Hiei.

Looking quickly from the window to Kurama, red met green. Silence filled the room what seemed like hours yet was only moments. Kurama was about to say that he was sorry and move on to another topic, HieiHiei’s voice stopped him.

“Yes,” Hiei looked down at his knees as he continued. “It would hurt her if she knew that someone like me was related to her. She deserves better. But since I can’t change our blood there is no need for her to know that I am her brother.”

“Hiei, you talk as if you are worthless. You know that you are not.” Kurama walked up behind Hiei and placed his hands on his shoulder, giving them a squeeze before continuing. “You’re very important to this group. Yukina should be honored to be your sister.”

Hiei looked over his should at Kurama. The bright green eyes that met him were full of truth and something else. He couldn’t quite make it out but he knew that Kurama was being compassionate. But still he would not tell Yukina the truth. He wished to spare her the hurt of finding out who her brother was.

“I still won’t tell her.”

“It is your decision. I will not interfere just know that I think she would like to know who her brother is.”

“Hn. Enough talk of Yukina.” Hiei stood and walked out the door to the living room. Kurama soon followed after grabbing his bag.

“Let’s go on then. I’m sure that Yusuke and Kuwabara have already started their training. We don’t want to fall behind.”

A grunt was hear Hie Hiei walked out the door and jumped into the nearest tree. Kurama just shock his head as he locked his house and followed on foot.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*Two Days Later*
A blast of the spirit gun was seen flying by his head barely missing his long red hair as Kurama ducked behind tree. He peaked out from behind the tree long enough to see where Yusuke was before he went running for the next tree that gave him a better shot. Again he came close to felling the full effects of the spirit gun attach.
He didn’t think that training was going to be this real. Never had they actually fired their weapons to harm each other. But Yusuke was taking this a little too serious. Kurama had already nearly been hit ten times in the last fifteen minutes.
‘At least I’m doing better then Kuwabara,’ Kurama thought as he heard a yelp followed by ‘Watch it shrimp!’ from somewhere to his left.
They had decided today they were going to break off into pairs and train. But Kurama was sure that him and Kuwabara were not happy with who they got paired with. But they all knew that Yusuke and Kuwabara would must likely just joke around with each other. And for some reason Hiei and Kurama never tried their best when facing each other.
Finally realizing that he had an open shot, Kurama dove out from behind the tree with a rose in hand. “Rose Whip Attack.”
The whip grazed Yusuke’s arm, the place where Kurama was aiming. Yusuke yelled in pain before reaching for his arm and looking at the cut that went from his elbow to his wrist. After putting the rose whip away Kurama walked up to him.
“Man, Kurama, you almost took my arm off.” They started walking up to the temple to have his cut checked out by Genkai.
“You almost took my head off several times this evening. Why were you cutting it so close?”
“I don’t know. Just thinking about Kayko. I miss her already.”
“You really love her don’t you?” Kurama opened the door to the temple for Yusuke who was still holding his bleeding arm.
“Yes, I d…,” Yusuke stopped talking once he got inside and saw Kuwabara laying on his back with Genkai looking over him. His clothes were hanging on by a thread, he had cuts and bruises all over the skin that was exposed, and he kept mumbling something about never being partners with the shrimp again. Yusuke went over to wait for Genkai to be done and to tease Kuwabara.
Kurama walked over to the open window on the other side of the room where Hiei was sitting. “Looks like you had some fun today.”
“Hn. He should learn to move faster.” Hiei looked over at where Genkai was helping the orange haired teen and noticed Yusuke for the first time. “Looks as if you had some fun too.”
“Huh…oh. No, Yusuke just wasn’t thinking right. He almost hit me several times before I decided to aim for him directly. I didn’t cut him very deep. Just enough to bleed.”
Hiei looked draggers over at Yusuke. “He got what he deserved then.”
Kurama didn’t notice the look that Hiei had sent to Yusuke as he sat down on the window sill beside of him. He stretched his back to let it pop before watching Genkai fuss at how dumb the other two were.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The next day went similar to the previous except that Kurama and Hiei were now training together in the woods while Yusuke and Kuwabara were off somewhere trying to see who was the strongest.

Hiei leapt from tree to tree in search of Kurama. He sensed him nearby and was on the attach in no time. With his sword drawn, Hiei jumped down from a tree and landed beside of Kurama, already his sword in motion to strike. He stopped it an inch from Kurama’s throat.

“You’re dead.”

“It would appear so. Please remove it from my neck now.” Kurama sat down under the tree, leaning on its trunk as he held his stomach slightly after Hiei had removed the sword.

Hiei looked down at Kurama in concern. “What’s wrong? I didn’t hurt you did I?”

“No. I just…I just feel weird. That’s all. I’llfinefine in a moment.” But his body betrayed his words as he squeezed his eyes shut in pain and barely held back a gasp.

Hiei bent down to take a closer look at Kurama to make sure that there were no visible injuries. When he was sure that they were not he bent down on his knees in front of Kurama. “Why are you in pain?”

“It’s nothing Hiei. I…ohhh,” Kurama let out a yelp of pain. As quickly as the pain seemed to start it was over. Kurama stopped hugging himself but kept his eyes locked on his legs that were laid out in front of him.

“Kurama?”

“Oh no. Not again,” Kurama jumped to his feet and ran off to the temple. When he heard Hiei follow he yelled over his shoulder, “No…I’m fine..ju…just go find Yusuke and Kuwabara to train with.”

But Hiei didn’t listen as he run after Kurama into the temple and down the hall to have the door of Kurama’s room slammed shut in his face. Pounding his fist on the obstacle in front of him, Hiei began to yell, “Kurama, open this door. Kurama. Kurama!”

“Hiei, please. Leave me alone. I’ll be okay in a little. Just go train and don’t worry about me.” Kurama’s voice was filled with mixed emotions. The pain that was once in it just moments before was gone, but in its wake it left what sounded like desperation and yearning.

Hiei pounded on the door once more, “Kurama, don’t make me slash this door down.”

“No!” Kurama’s voice begged for understanding. “Please, Hiei. Just leave. I promise I’ll be fine. I just need some time alone. Please.”

Hiei had never heard Kurama’s voice like that before. He knew that Kurama was being serious and that he wanted to be alone for some time. But Hiei couldn’t bring himself to leave Kurama. In all the years that he had known Kurama, Hiei had never seen him act like this. It worried Hiei and he didn’t really understand why. Maybe it was because he had known Kurama the longest amongst the group or maybe…maybe something else.

Finally making his decision, Hiei sat Indian-style across the hall in front of the door he was just pounding on. If Kurama wouldn’t let him inside the least he could do was sit and wait for him to come out to make sure that he was okay.

Thirty minutes passed before Hiei heard Kurama’s voice again. “Please Hiei. Go away. Go outside. Please.”

Hiei sat frozen. How did Kurama know that he was still there. He had not made a sound or even moved in the past half-hour. “I’m not moving until you get out here or let me in.”

“Hiei I can’t. Please just go away.”

“You might want to listen to him. Why don’t you come with me for something to drink.” Genkai turned back and started into the kitchen. After several minutes Hiei finally decided to follow.

Once in the kitchen he found Genkai sitting at the table with a glass of tea in front of her and one in front of the chair across from her. Hiei took the empty seat but ignored the glass of ice cold tea. “Why did want me to leave?”

“Because I think you should understand something,” she took a sip of her tea. “Kurama is going through something right now that he needs to deal with alone. This is the second time in Kurama’s life that this has happened. He knows how to handle it. So do as he says and leave him alone.”

“What are you talking about, old woman? Something is wrong with him.”

“No there is nothing wrong with him. I told you he can deal with this. Leave hi…”

“Deal with what?” Hiei crossed his arms to try and prevent his hand from reaching for his sword. This was getting him upset.

“An event that happens in every fox demon. Must others don’t know of it. For a day or two Kurama will be locked in his room dealing with it. I have already told the other two morons not to go near the door but you especially must not. Understand.”

“No. What kind of event? Why must I stay away from him?”

“To put it simply Kurama is becoming in heat for the first time in this body.”

Hiei eyes widened in shock. “What?”

“When a fox demon reaches his age they go in heat for the first time. True,ama ama has already done this when he was in his demon form but since he was reborn he is going through it again. During this time he is craving one thing….sex. The smell of a possible mate drives him wild. Especially your scent. He needs to be alone for just a few days. Then he will return to normal and all will be fine. Understand now?”

“Yes, but…why do you say especially my scent? Why has he not told me about this before?”

Taking another sip of tea Genkai replied, “Kurama didn’t know that he would be going through this again. After a fox demon goes through this they never have to worry about it again, Kurama, as I said has already been through it. He must of thought since he was in a human body it wouldn’t happen again. Again a possible mates scent drives him wild but the scent of someone he really cares for would drive him crazy. Have you not realized what he feels for you?”

“What? You can’t poss…”

“He loves you.”

Hiei just stared at Genkai. She couldn’t mean that. But at the same time he wasnkinnking of his own feelings for Kurama. He had always felt more comfortable around him than the others. He trusted Kurama with his life,ch ich is something he didn’t trust to anyone. He worried about Kurama during a battle more than anyone else. That’s when he realized something about his own feelings. His eyes grew wide with understanding.

“So, you finally discover your own feelings. It’s about time.”

“How did you….Are you sure that he feels as I do?”

“Of course I do. If your skull wasn’t so thick maybe you would of realized the way he looks or talks to you. I even heard Yusuke say something about it once. Look, just stay away from his door. I’m going to check on the morons.” With that, Genkai got up and walked out the door in search for Yusuke and Kuwabara.

Hiei just sat at the table for a little while before deciding that if it would help Kurama than he would stay away from his room. Already getting bored he went in search of an area in the forest to train and think.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As night fell over the land Hiei resolved in stopping training and getting some rest tonight. Walking back to the temple his mind began to wander. Thinking of all that Genkai had told him early in the day. A part of him was worried for Kurama and wanted to help him by staying away. But another part of him wanted to help Kurama in another way. That was part of himself that he had never felt before.
Genkai’s words kept repeating in his head, ‘He loves you.’ Could it be true? He hoped that it was since he had discovered his feelings for Kurama. He knew now that he was indeed in love with him. Stopping in front of the temple doors he made a decision. Leaping on to a near by tree limp he made his way to the tree that would bring him to Kurama’s bedroom window.
He saw that the lamp beside the bed was turned on, the only light beside the moon that was in the room. Looking around he saw Kurama sitting on the floor at the bottom of the bed with his knees brought up under his chin. His arms were wrapped around his legs with his eyes closed. He seemed to be in his own little world, not even moving as Hiei opened the window and jumped silently into the room.
“Hiei go away.” The voice was low, almost in a purr.
“Genkai told me that you were in heat.”
“Please. Go away….your scent…” Kurama turned his head away from Hiei never once opening his eyes.
“She also told me something else that I was to dumb to realize myself.” Hiei walked over and knelt beside Kurama. Seeing that Kurama was now shaking he reached out and touched the shoulder of the red fox, smiling to himself when he heare moe moan that escaped Kurama’s lips. “I just wanted you to know that I think I love you as well.”
Kurama jerked his head around to stare at Hiei with large green eyes. “Wha…What? You mean…you really…love me?”
“It took me a while to understand the feelings that I have been having for you. But after Genkai told me the way you were feeling, I knew that those feelings were love. I want to help you. I understand that this will pass within a few days but, I want to help you.”
“No…I…I want you too. But you don’t understand…oh god..your scent is getting stronger.” Kurama got on his knees and leaned closer to Hiei. “Ohh…you have to leave.”
“No. Let me help you.” Closing the distance between them, Hiei brushed his lips against Kurama’s. Taking the chance, Hiei brought one of his hands to Kurama’s thick, silky red hair pulling him even closer.
Minutes passed as kisses were received and given among them. Kurama laced his arms around Hiei’s waist. A moan departed from his lips as Hiei started to lift his T-shirt over his head. Letting their lips part for only a second before crushing back together.
Replacing one hand in Kurama’s hair, Hiei took the other one and ran it up and down Kurama’s back until it rested on right above his pants. He made a trail of wet kisses down Kurama’s neck before sucking on his collarbone.
“Oh…Hiei….I…want…need you..please.” Kurama pushed Hiei back so that he could remove the light blue tank top that was in his way before bending down and kissing Hiei’s shoulder. He inhaled the scent that was purely Hiei. “Please…will y..you…take me?”
“Hn..of course.” Hiei pushed Kurama down on the floor and started to unbutton his jeans. After struggling to get the tight material down Kurama’s legs, he finally succeeded along with removing his dark blue silk boxers and throwing them across the room.
Hlet let out a growl as he saw the lean body of Kurama laid out in front of him for his taking. Letting kisses ran down Kurama’s chest and stomach, Hiei stopped when he reached Kurama’s dripping arousal.
“Hiei…please.” Not needing any further encouragement, Hiei took Kurama’s long, hard rod into his mouth. Sucking gently at first he let the hardened flesh slide in and out of his mouth. He ran his hands up to Kurama’s chest where he pinched and rubbed his nipples.
Kurama felt as if he was in heaven. For the past couple of hours he had been sitting in the floor trying to get rid of all sexual thoughts that entered his head. He had smelled Hiei sitting outside the door and begged him both out loud and silently to leave. His scent was driving him crazy. Kurama even had to lock the door and tossed the key somewhere in the room with his eyes closed so he couldn’t see where it went. All he wanted to do was lay here in this floor with Hiei’s talented mouth working on him all night long.
“Oh..Hiei..I’m..I’m gonna..ohhh,” Kurama let his seed flow into Hiei’s waiting mouth. Panting he looked down to see Hiei smirking at him from over his now limp cock.
Creeping up Kurama, Hiei kissed him on his lips letting his own seed mix with their saliva. Neither could tell who was doing the moaning or if it was a combination of both. But they both felt Kurama’s cock get hard again.
“Want more.” Kurama blushed as he reached down and began undo Hiei’s pants.
Not wanting to disappoint his newly realized love, Hiei continued to kiss Kurama’s neck as he kicked off his shoes and helped remove his pants and underwear. Working his way back up to Kurama’s ear he whispered, “Do you have anything?”
“Hmmm….lotion…on dresser.”
Leaping up Hiei ran and retrieved the lotion before returning to his previous job of driving Kurama crazy with his wandering tongue. Lapping at the fox demon’s ear, Hiei placed one of his already lubed finger at the entrance of Kurama’s passage.
Slowly pushing it through the slight resistance he felt. Once he was sure that Kurama was okay, he eased a couple more of his fingers in, gradually stretching the tight channel. Knowing that neither of them could wait much longer he finally pulled his fingers out and placed Kurama’s legs on his shoulders, pausing as he looked down at the face of his fox demon.
With a little nod and a loud moan from Kurama, Hiei pushed into him. Slowly he stretch the path inside of Kurama more with his hard flesh. Making sure that he was gentle enough not to hurt him but fast enough to bury himself to the hilt.
When he could push in no farther he let out a growl before bending and giving Kurama a passionate kiss that spoke volumes of what he was feeling…..love.
“Move….please.” Kurama moaned as the kiss was broke for air.
Idly pulling out of the tight heat that surrounded him, Hiei started at a pace that drove them both wild. With each inward thrust he hit Kurama’s sweet spot making him cry out in pleasure.
“Hiei…please…more…fa…faster.”
Without anymore hesitation Hiei’s thrusts began to come fast and harder. Soon he was pounding into Kurama with all his strength. Reaching down in between them he started stroking Kurama at the speed of his thrusts. Kurama’s groaning was driving him over the edge along with the tight heat around his aching member.
“So close…ohh…Hiei….just a little…ohh,” Kurama spilled his seed all over his and Hiei’s stomachs, moaning as he felt Hiei give one finally plunge into his heat before he came deep inside of him.
Collapsing on top of Kurama, Hiei pulled out gently from his entrance. Laying kisses all over his neck and chest. Kurama giggled as he felt the small kisses rain over his body. Sitting up on his elbows forced Hiei to sit up on his knees looking down at him.
“I want more.” Kurama blushed as he looked down at his hardening member already knowing that Hiei was following his gaze.
A growl was all he heard before he was thrown over a shoulder and dropped on the bed. Soon the room was filled with more moaning from both parties as the night was spent in the exhausting embrace of love.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

*Two Days Later*

Kurama woke to the sound of birds outside his window. The sun shone brightly into the room making him turn his head and bury it in the hard muscle that he found there. Wrapping his arms around the petite waist beside him he started to drift back to sleep when he set bolt upright in bed. Looking down he saw Hiei fast asleep.

“Oh god…what…what have I done?” Quickly getting out of bed Kurama ran over to his closet and pulled on some jeans and a shirt. While getting his hoes on he heard Hiei sit up.

“Where are you going, Fox?”

“I…I…have….have to go.” Kurama made his way for the door only to be stopped by a very naked Hiei.

“What’s wrong?”

Looking down at Hiei, Kurama quickly looked back up and away from him as he pushed past, “I have to talk to Genkai. Excuse me.” With that Kurama ran over to the door and unlocked it with the key that he and Hiei had found sometime during the past couple of days when ‘exploring’ the room. Then ran out of the room leaving a stunned and hurt looking Hiei behind.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
“How could I have gone through with it? How could Hiei let me?” Kurama was currently pacing around the kitchen of the temple talking to Genkai who was eating a sandwich. She had made Kurama one but he had yet to even sit down and look at it.
“I think its understandable that you did. After all, Hiei disobeyed me and went to see you. As soon as he was that close there was no way you could of resisted the urge. Now eat, you’ve been in that bedroom for the last two days with nothing but moaning coming from it.” She took another bit of food.
Kurama finally sat down but didn’t touch his sandwich. “Two days? Oh god,” He buried his head in his folded arms. “I can’t believe Hiei let me do that.”
“Hiei loves you. You love him. What’s wrong with that?”
Kurama’s head snapped up, “You know very well what’s wrong with that.”
ou fou feel it already?” She looked at him over her half eaten sandwich.
Looking away Kurama whispered, “Yes.”
“Have you told Hiei?”
“No. How am I? He’ll regret being with me. That was the best night of my…”
“Two days.”
“Oh yeah…well it was the best two days I’ve ever had. If he knows I’m….if he finds out about this he’ll hate me.” Kurama blushed putting his head back on his arms and closing his eyes.
“You won’t know until you tell him. Now go get a shower and find him. Tell him the truth. If he loves you as much as it looks like he’ll understand.” Getting up Genkai walked out of the room leaving a thinking fox demon behind.
