I love it when they underestimate Shiori. No mother should be as clueless as they think she is.

hmmmm this was very interesting and has the makings of a really good story. You could try foreshadowing a little like in the beginning how did Genkai know that Shiori was upset? There was nothing to suggest that she was like slamming the door, sighing or stuff like that. Besides that it was a good chapter.
