Plus they're not very religious and only do the religious stuff for holidays, weddings, and funerals, more or less.

Good first chapter, you got a good set up and a hook. I can't wait to see where this is going-- well I have some idea. I did read the warnings after all, but it's like riding a rollercoaster. You know there's gonna be loopy-loops, ya just don't know how fast your gonna take em or if they're gonna make ya wet your pants. Uh, I think I lost the metaphore somewhere in there. Oh well. Keep writing.
