Really good story! A real page-turner. A rather quick and bland way of writing, but there is so much potential to this already good story. Good, but not amazing, not yet. Like i said, great potential. I can see that you've grown even through the process of writing. Comparing chapter 6/7 to chapter 10, there is such a difference in writing level that it's awe-inspiring.
If my vote counts, I'd say a happy ending, since sad endings make me feel like the story isnt finished, or the author(ess) took the easy way out. Unless it's almost PERFECTLY written, then it should be happy. I've only found one perfect sad story so far out of three years on this site. ([i sried so hard at it, it was embarrassing]) So, since you haven't quite reached your full potential, i'd make it happy.

i do love your story and even though kurama is not so good in here... i really can't just hate him... really... though i must admit i'm begining to wonder what will be in this story... as much as i like angst and i myself wrote in the same manner with blood and violence and stuff, personally i don't like sad or tragedy... heheh... besides i do love the characters to be just themselves... in other words, i hate OOCness.... not that much but enough to make me stop reading once it become to much for me... and i must say, kurama is so OOC here... it's not yet overwhelming but still threatening.... and besides, i really, personaly don't think kurama could fall in love and considered being mated with a ningen no matter how much he respect the race... and also, i hate the fact that he considered cheating on his "belove" wife by proposing to hiei or making hiei his mistress... to think that he said he do "love" here? which to his fury, made hiei blind? i really couldn't find the logic of that...

I struggled with myself about whether or not to write this, but I like the story too much not to do so. When I read the first chapters of the story, I thought it was an excellent premise and plotline that would start out with good H/K angst and then lead into a romance between them.
However, the last chapter and this one seem to me to have taken that very premise and turned it into a 'how much of a cruel bastard can Kurama be made into and how much torture/hurt can be heaped onto Hiei', and I have to say, neither of these seems to fit the story.
Kurama is nothing if not rational, even when his emotional human side takes control. So to see him get angry at Hiei and vent his rage against Hiei for a decision that Kurama himself made (because deep down, as I believe was stated in an earlier chapter, he has feelings for the fire demon) makes absolutely no sense to this reader. Then, too, Hiei's mute acceptance of Kurama's rage seems not in keeping at all with his character -- regardless of whether he loves the fox or not. I don't believe he'd just sit silently by and let Kurama take that anger out on him... he definitely fight back.
I hope that some sensible resolution will be coming in the future because I truly believe this is an excellent story and has the potential to continue to be so. I just feel that these two chapters have gotten it off track.

You had me worried about Kurama's choice when he got home so I'm glad you didn't dissapoint. Kurama made some tough choices but I'm happy to see he put his loyalties where they were deserved. It's sad about the baby, I hope Kurama never resents Hiei for that loss. Update soon.
