A few nitpicks before I tell you how awesome this story is:
"Roan" is red with white flecks, not pure red. It's also a weird adjective to describe eyes, since it's only used to describe coat color (usually of cows or horses).
Hanging Neck Island is a PART of Ningenkai- a secluded one, yes, but a part of it.
And now to the compliments:
I really enjoy your style of writing. It's very suspenseful, you have everyone pretty much IC- and you kind of made me care about Kurama/Hiei again. I like how you brought Karasu (I think?) back...and yeah, quality fanfic.

This is good... really good. You write extremely well and paint very vivid pictures with your words. You've also captured Kurama and Hiei very well and created a perfectly believable situation. I certainly do hope you continue this story, as I would love to see where it takes the demons and if they are ever able to accept the things they feel and the things they share, and adapt to each other's needs.
