"Hiei, if you kiss my feet I'm going to shove my foot down your throat."
SO Yusuke.
I was sort of getting this Joy Luck Club feel from the talk of First this and Second that, but they're adjusting. The banter between Hiei's kids and the kits was funny too.

I always do love how you characterize the kids XP
Well now, this is like a proper conclusion to the previous two chapters: the beginning of assimilating Hiei into a more stable family-life. Said family-life could probably benefit from someone with Hiei's speed to keep up with all the kinder, hehe. Looking forward to how this stage develops (hah, pun: more kinder on the way).

Oh wow ... Okay, I just read from 29-40, so forgive me if I leave only a brief review, since otherwise this would be too incredibly long and have to be broken up into segments:
Shishi's passing - damn! I was hoping he might come out of it or something. Oh, but there's still the foreshadowing of a last scene between him and Hiei before he crosses over, so.
The twins and Chi - I like how their maturity kind of confuses some people, because they're far more advanced than human children at that age. They're aware of a lot more than they're credited for. Also the way the twins play protectors to Chi is endearing.
Ryuji and Pehjo - *snickers* Will we see more of the skink?
Yomi and Koenma - BEST humor (though their dialogues often are) XP
The Yusuke-Kurama-Hiei "fiasco" - resolution (or the beginnings thereof) at LAST! The vital part's been done--Hiei's been "bound" to them or whatever, thus his life saved, so now they can worry more about the "moving on" in this area and easing into something resembling a ... not-as-much-a-fiasco family.
Looking forward to more!

That would be the hardest thing to do is tell the children that their parent is dead.I really hope you let
Hiei say goodbye (they both need the closer).Wow,this is still such an intense story and I'm still on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens.Shouldn't it be Hiei to tell his kids.
Great job as always

I feel so badly for Hiei, and for Chiiasi - poor thing, he just lost his mom and now his dad is running away to Makai. And I defintely want to know more about the whole complicated demon situation - Yusuke probably has no idea what he's getting himself into, that's why it's good that Kurama is there to guide him. And how many babies are those two going to make? They're going to have a clan by the time they're done!

Heh, finally. I've been waiting for someone to do that scene right. It always bugged me when the series floated close to Yukina finding out about her brother but skirted it. And trust it to the SDF to make a flashy last second entrance. Great job writing in the explaination of Ryuji, it fits in well with the rest of the series.

I really liked Hiei's whole backstory about meeting his brother and killing his father, you're very creative on fire demon customs. And that was a very mean place to stop!
