I have a strange feeling that Shishi isn't going to make it - which would be sad. He's really had a rough time of it. And Hiei won't be doing any better because of it - Yusuke and Kurama are going to have their hands more full than they already are.
You've really made the children such interesting and endearing characters. I really like Yusuke and Hiei's twins - they're crazy, they bite, and one of them has Yusuke's potty mouth. And Kurama's little girl kitsune is already a trickster.
BTW, the Yusuke and Yomi interaction is friggin hysterical. I think Yomi is a bit amused by everyone's favourite Toushin.

This is Botan. Don't eat her.
And then Hiei trying to smoke the carrot--XP Good humor to lace into the situation. I kind of saw the food shock coming; silly Yusuke, should have started him off on something less rich than ice cream, and then Shishi didn't exactly improve on it either. I sense the distinct possibility of one of those clear plastic hospital bags and an IV in a possibly unconscious, possibly pissed off fire demon's future. (Which means he may be out longer than anticipated; poor Botan...)

Oh man, I'd almost forgotten about the consequences of the drugs (that's bad, since I'd commented on him trying to smoke the carrot before, huh?). Detox--"fun"; but should be interesting. And it looks like Yusuke (and Kurama) and Shishiwakamaru might have themselves a long, hm ... "enriching"? conversation to come.

I found and started reading the whole series last night, and just finished- I haven't even taken the time to review the others (mostly cause they are finished works). Having not watched near as much of the series as I would have liked, I can only be really familiar with around half on the main characters. But that hasn't slowed my enjoyment at all!!! I have enjoyed everything and can't wait to see what will happen next. I also appreciate how you permit your characters to "cuss" without actually writing out the words. It has definitely given me more respect for you. And while it took a few pages to get used to, I have found your script- style writing rather refreshing!! keep up the good work!!

Ha-ha, so Kurama's going to be "cooking" some stuff up, eh? I had almost forgotten that the drugs were one of those shadier under-elements that I liked about this story. And it looks like Yusuke (and Kurama) and Shishi are working toward some stable ground--now, to get Hiei's bloodwork done and proceed with ... chemistry ^-^

Well I'm glad you've resolved how you were going to continue. As I said before: you write it how you feel it should be, and people can deal with it.
This chapter in particular, I can't see many people finding much fault with. Hiei's little banter regarding the twins was funny--I haven't remarked yet, but I love how you make them hiss and stuff! It's the same sort of cat-like reference that always came to mind when Sabaktu was featured!--, and it's nice to see that he and Shishi are advancing on the healing process.

Although I do find the Hiei/Shishi pairing likeable and very endearing, I do hope that Hiei does from some kind of relationship with Yusuke and Kurama. And hell - throw Shishi in there with them as well, I don't mind. :D
And I echo Thoth_moon's sentiment about the boys: it's so cute the way Hiei clicks at them and they hiss. There like little kitties that way and it's so adorable.
I'm enjoying this story, and I say don't change your written word for anyone. Although I expressed an opinion above on who ends up with who, what you have written is yours, and you shouldn't change it for anybody.

Nice interlude. They needed an opportunity to sit back and be a family ... that's not living in the upstairs of a whore-house.
But you say don't get too comfortable, hm? Shishi refers to their marks--I wonder if they'll encounter any adversity over them? I know what was said in the previous chapter, but still.

Yusuke or not I think Shishi is perfect for Hiei.Yet they still have so much to go through.
I don't think you should change anything, plus its your story we may have our own ideas but in the end
its what your mind wants.I look forward to what ever else you have planned yet I hope it won't send
Hiei or Shishi over the edge.It would be to hard a road to come back off of.
Nice Job

This has definitely been an interesting story to be certain. BlueUtopiah was the one who recommeded that I read it and I haven't been disappointed. The script format is a bit hard to read, but I've gotten to the point where I can overlook that. I'm going to have to go against the grain here though with everyone elses opinions concerning Hiei. He's been through a lot yes, but I'm sincerely hoping someone knocks some sense into him so he can return to Yusuke. If they want to add Shishi into the mix, fine, but I can't just see Yusuke letting him go like that.
