I must confess that the sole reason I read this fic was originally because of the unusual pairings. And by unusual, I didn't mean Kurama/Yusuke, but Hiei/Koenma, because they are a very, very rare type of pairings that will only grace Yu Yu Hakusho one every 5xx FanFics. This sets up such a different background and opens many previously unexplored casualties.
The dialogs are on spot and the character's descriptions are nearly flawless---nearly, because I noticed that you're downgrading (although it was almost invisible unless someone squint real hard) some characters here. And I liked how you went into the gradual process of the building relationships, the "coming-to-accept-the-invitable" without moving too fast nor too slow. Especially in case of Yusuke/Kurama.
I can never get enough of Koenma's not-so-innocent-act without cracking a smile in the end (<-- This is mostly my inner fangirl speaking, please ignore). I can feel the emotions of both pairing respectively and I will lie if I say I don't suddenly feel very hot and bothered from that ending! Thanks for giving this to us.
