And the empty-nest Hiei jettisons into an insatiable Hiei emulating a pregnant nympho, and then comes back to an empty-nest Hiei. I have to admit, at the beginning of his love-fest I was wondering if you were going to take us in a direction away from the laboratory ... ^__^

I feel no pity for Kurama. Tho' I suppose it's a good thing I didn't laugh out loud or certain people nearby would have gotten curious.

Hiei, on the other hand,...I suppose for someone who wants a child, it must be horrible not to be able to have one. I think Hiei envies Yukina a bit and then feels extremely guilty for it. He's going to be a great uncle though. He'll be as protective of the twins as he is of Yukina. Even if one of the twins is Kuwabara's clone.

I can't help but wonder if Kuwabara and Yukina's twins are going to be the beginning of the next generation of Rekai Tantei.

I'm getting visions of a mad-scientist fangirl creating a Hiei-Kurama baby in those alternate scenes... and it's scaring me.
Please keep up the wonderful writing- I can't wait for the next chapter!

You know, you needed this chapter. I've read some of the reviews and I know that they haven't been all-out glowing, but the way you slowly portrayed Hiei's need for a child, without him knowing what that need was, was done very well. The pacing on a subject like that, especially with the way Hiei is characterized, needs to go perfectly or it will fall flat, and you did the pacing very well.

I find it ironic that Hiei wants a child, almost more than Kurama does. You're leading into the plot nicely, and this chapter sets everything up well.

Oh, and aren't you the sneaky one, eh? Putting up your recipe, and I did not expect to come back by and see something else to read all in one night (morning?).

Hiei trying to drown himself was great. The way he is feeling, I wonder--is it possible to experience empty nest syndrome when you've never had a full nest to beging with?

Oh, what an interesting chapter! I have my own suspicions about whats wrong with Hiei but I'm going to keep quiet just incase because I hate being wrong. **Grin** I loved the kitchen scene, I could so see Kazuma (So much easier to spell!! :-D) absentmindedly kissing Yukina and Hiei being decidedly unamused about the whole thing. Not to mention the image of Hiei choking on his water almost made me cry laughing. Poor Kurama though, he's all befuddled. Though we can't blame him.

Anyway, excellent update and I hope that you had a great christmas.

Nee...another review I won't be able to read...anyways...this seems a bit like filler...and you seem maybe to be feeling like Hiei at the moment. It's not bad at all, you just seem a bit unfocused...or maybe it's just because it's still filler...or you can feel free to ignore me
