Ahh I like the idea of some of the minons being attracted to Kuwabara.
I like that even Hiei spoke up in defense of Kuwabar, threatening to use his sword, that is actually in character, despite what some Kuwabara-haters want to think. Hiei does accept that Kuwabara is a teammate and does not abandon him in the series. Often he acts to protect him, the only two times Hiei tripped Kuwabara was when he was overeager to prove himeself and tried to rush off to a fight where he could seriously hurt.

This is an awesome story. I read KuwaL version, but I like the plot in this one a tad better. Not to dishonor KuwaL or anything mind you. I just like the confusion between Yusuke and Kuwabara.

Thank you for the dedication. I enjoy long fics and the dark ones can be interesting, too. I especially like the take on Kuwabara, since he's usually portrayed as a brainless (albeit loyal) idiot. I think he has a strong personality and a difficult past, which opens the door to a lot of possibilities in terms of investigating his character. Seeing an unexplored aspect of his persona is one of the reasons I enjoyed KuwaL's original version. I probably won't review at every update because that's how I am, but I will be reading and will try to drop a line of encouragement once in a while. You are doing a great job; don't let the lack of reviews discourage you. :)

I enjoyed KuwaL's version very much, and this one as well. I look forward to seeing where you will take it. My only suggestion would be to watch your verb tenses -- you tend to wander from past to present tense and back again. Stories are traditionally written in past tense, so you may want to do a quick once-over before you post. Are you continuing past the point KuwaL left off? I'll be looking for the next update.
