I really like this story, and I want to know why you haven't updated is nearly a year. Did someone curse your story or make you feel bad in some other way? Not my business of course, but I would like to see how this story ends.

The reason Kurama's human name and his little brother have the same name is beacuse it's common to name the younger child the same thing as the older one.
Another translation of Shuichi is exalence first. Also , Kurama's only name is Kurama. Yoko (or however it's spelled) really just means spirit. XD
I Love your story BTW. Good luck in art school

This has to be one of my favorite YYH fanfics ever; you're doing a great job with it. ^_^ I do have a question though (and it's kind of stupid o.o; ) but you mentioned that Rei needed her cup of hot chocolate in order to make it through the day ("Neither my mom nor me could get through the day without a cup of hot chocolate"); does she manage to get some while she's staying with Shuichi and his family?

I love this story. It gives me a glimpse into the life of a friend of mine who hears things and another friend who can be happy one minute and all depressed the next. I write on fanfiction.net but decided to check this site out and as it would happen, your story was one of the first ones that I read that didn't deal with yaoi and literally the first one that's helped me understand my friends a bit more. So I hope you update soon and thanks for helping me see clearer.

--- Yoko Kurama’s name: Something odd I found: Yoko is actually a girl’s name in Japanese, too, though I bet it has other meanings that I’ve yet to find. It means “positive”. XD ---
I found this little tidbit interesting, as I am studying the kanji of people's names and their meanings. As you said, it IS a girl's name. Yoko can also be spelled as Youko, but it means the same thing. The "You" and "Yo" mean 'sun', or 'sunshine', and the "ko" at the end means 'child'. But, "Youko" also means 'enchanted fox', 'spirit fox', 'charming fox' and so forth. It's also hinted at that it alludes to youkai kitsune, 'demon fox.' The Japanese are so vague -.- As for Kurama (in Japanese) I have heard many meanings, from 'well kept horse' and 'car' to 'horse saddle'. In a culture in western Sudan, there was a people called the 'Kuramaa' and it was said their name meant 'to take vengeance'
Oh, and I love your story xD It's definitally developing very nicely. And it's as far from the realm of Mary Sue, that dastardly bane of fanfiction. Great job.

So, here I am, blacking my pretty biker boots and listening to the best depression song in the entire world (30 Minutes by T.A.T.U.) reading your fanfic. Its a potent combo. You should really listen to it on repeat while reading the entire story.
Anyway, I like the story. Very complex, and you put it out well. Good job.

I've freaked out over my Simple Plan C.D. Beat my brother up for taking it too. Music is my life! I can relate to Rei! Music is what keeps a lot of people sane. I love your writing! It's real, and creative, and not just something that could never actually happen. I can't wait for more!!

Animorphs is a good series. They got me into reading and writing. I'm really enjoying this and I can't wait for more.
BTW, I love the way you described Kurama's scent. It's creative and I love it.

This is Shawna. I just finished all your chapters and I must say that I am mesmorized by this story. I've been in a rather dark mood lately, and for some strange reason, this story seems to be just what I need. Since I have started reading this though, I've come to understand a few things about you. Hopefully I can catch you online sometime soon and talk about it. I hope you understand that it isn't pity I feel, or understanding. Just a profound sadness. I don't mean to offend you, but it's the truth. Thinking about what you say in the author's notes and putting things together like some obscure morbid jigsaw puzzle fills the empty sadness I have. I really do hope to talk to you soon. I also hope that you continue this story, but only if you are able to do so. I do think though, that this story will be good for you. In a way...
