I knew I should have waited to review....*shrugs*...oh well, this way you just get another one to add to your arsenal!!! Okie dokie, I'm gonna' take one more stab at this "well too deep" thing, b/c you said that chapter 7 is the last chance we have, and something at the end of this chapter caught my attention. So here goes nothing...... I think that -love- in and of itself is a well too deep, expecially between Hiei and Kurama b/c of the whole "forbidden love between a demon and human" thing. They -do- love each other, and quite deeply, too, but either a) they are unwilling to risk having Hiei become cursed b/c of that love, and the cost is "too deep", b) their love is "too deep" to deny and they either slip up or choose to admit it to eachother outloud, or c) the before-mentioned happens and their love is so deep that it over-rides the curse. *whew!* So, is any of that right? Or did I use up all of my good luck earlier? ^__~ I don't really care -- it can't hurt to guess, and no matter what, I know that you will write it beautifully!!! Ja ne!!!

I love this story. I absolutely love it... you are a very good writer, and I like how you put a twist on their relationship by saying the God's would shun Hiei and he'd be ruined basically. ::nods:: Very interesting plot as well I can't wait to see how it turns out. Keep up the good work and please post another chapter soon.

Another terrific chapter! Each chapter seems even better than the last. I love the depth and context you've given to Kurama's character, and the interaction between all four characters in this chapter was wonderfully done. Please return soon with more -- what a dilemma for Hiei and Kurama.

Hey! Interesting. I still don't know why the gods would shun a love between demon and human. I know demons aren't supposed to love and humans are supposed to be weak, but still, I don't really get it. And Kurama isn't 100% human either. He has a human body and a demon soul which makes him a hnayou, or a half and half. Anyway, what will happen to the Reikai Tantei? Will they be okay? Please update soon with more!

Hi there!!! I just love your fic -- very original, clever, and well done!!! Also, I'm a big fan of the Kurama/Hiei pairing, so I can't wait to see how you develop that, as well as the rest of this story! Now then......I guessed the "Black Death" thing, and now I'm gonna' take a shot on the dark as to the rest of the details about Morana's Plague Army. Could it be that they are dead souls who cannot be killed the conventional way and spread death and despair, as well? Ya' know, a mental thing of some sorts... I know that one reason the Black Death was so devistating was because the disease was transfered from the dead bodies to the "healthy" people taking care of them, and that as the body count rose, it infected more people, thus making the body count rise more and more, and so on. So that is what her army reminded me of...*shrugs* ...just a guess. Oh, and now for a reeeeeally wild guess as to the title of your fic......that "hint" got me thinking....(and by the way, it was more confusing than the original question....heh... ^^;;)..... could the "well too deep" be the life force/soul of a person, and the "bucket" be the fragile body that it is housed in? As in, the soul of someone can never die, but their body cannot hold it in, or handle the stress, sooo......maybe? I dunno..... I think that it is either something along those lines, or something to do with the "love" relationship between Kurama and Hiei.......once again, their love can never "die", or come to an end, but their existance/fears/etc. cannot handle it, thus making it very difficult and frigile? ^^;; I'm probably way of base here, but I just thought I'd try....no harm in that, right? If I am right, let me know when you update (which will be very soon, right? ...hint, hint...), and if I'm not, then I will look forward to finding out the real answer. ^__^ Keep up the good work, and update ASAP!!! Oh, and I hope that you read all this......I kinda' got carried away, now didn't I? Sorry! ^^;; Later!!!

Huh? Wasn't chapter 3 up before? I thought I already read the part about the challenges and the wells... Did you edit something, or am I really not remembering right? Maybe I'm getting old. Anyway, you want to know my opinion on what the title means, eh? Well, barring some private info that I couldn't ever guess, I'll assume it has something to do with life. Water is often associated with life, and the amount and power of the water refers to vitality. If the well is too deep, that might mean that it's not full enough; that its water level is low or dropping. In this case, that might refer to encroaching death. The title also reminds me of 'A Bridge too Far', which I never saw. A friend told me it was a true story about a platoon that had to hold a bridge against the enemy, but help came too late.
