Chapter 17 was an eye opener for both of them ,I think. So was it the crow Kurama saw in the market place unknown to both of them? And how is Hiei going to handle falling in love with the fox or is he just going to ignore it and give him over for the money.?Can't wait to see what else is going to happen, though it looks like you've forgotten this story because you have not updated in a long time.Hope whatever is stopping you is to bad and you can come back to this story soon

Now THAT'S a story!
I am genuinly impressed with your writing - you slip so smoothly from one perspective to another, never once tripping on it, or making the reader feel a hiccough. And the way you remained true to the characters personalities *while* showing change and growth... not to mention how you keep us guessing at all times who's out to get whom.. well.. it's just fabulous. I'm sure I sound like I'm gushing now, but I'm just really impressed with the quality of this work. I mean.. I don't even usually *Like* Hiei and Kurama pairings in any way, shape, or form - but your plot made me suspend my previous prejudices about how I viewed the characters, and you made them into your own unique versions.
Plus, I had some really good laughs along the way, which is always appreciated. Most recently, the Kurama-yawn. How adorable! Haha.
Alright, enough rambling. I just stayed up until 2am because once I started reading, I couldn't stop...
*applauds*

I can't tell you how excited I was to see that you added another chapter to this! I love your writing - it's very epic, very dense, and your creativity is off the charts. There are stories out there that make me forget that I'm reading fanficiton, and this as well as A Well Too Deep are two of those stories.
So many things about this chapter: The slow analysis of feelings toward the other on either side, both admitting to themselves that they have fallen and fallen hard. Karasu's brief appearance and how it unnerves Kurama even though he doesn't know that it's Karasu. The masterful addition of Mr. Bolyx and The Holy Arthur - I really do love the power and history that Hiei has in the Makai - you could probably write a whole novel on his rise to power. The description of the rooms, and then the final scene where Hiei and Youko lie against each other and declare that they've become too involved to ignore their feelings any longer, and how they declare those feelings by saying they hate the other.
The plot really moved along in this chapter, and I liked the change from forest to village. I can't wait to see the final confrontation with Karasu and I'm sure it won't be pretty.

^^ okey,
1) No, of course I didnt get the connection between Karasu and the crow! Im no where near being able to make connections in my head! lol. Im not good with symbolism...
2) Nope, never heard of anything named Angra before, or if you just made it up to have some meaning to Hiei, the best I can come up with is angry. ^^' Heh, heh, I feel retarded in comparison to you...
3) This is the greatest story Ive ever read on any fanfic site! (I know I may say that to other stories, but that's just cause sometimes I forget this one exists. I really mean it with this one)
4) I hope after you finish reading this review you feel really good, because you deserve it!
Eve
PS- If you arent already, you should become an author for real.

I know that I'm up for 100 lashes, since I'm a fan of this story, but have not reviewed before. I do apologize... Your writing is wonderfully dark, and it has such depth - something that is rarely found in fanfiction. When I read your stories, I actually feel like I'm reading a novel, it surpasses the category of "fanfiction", and I felt that this was a terrific chapter. I've been enjoying how both Hiei and Kurama, who were definite in their feeling and goals, are becoming confused, the lines they've drawn are now muddled. You've carved out their relationship so carefully over these chapters, and in this one especially, walls are breaking down and it's amazing to watch.

Well now, this is getting interesting. Will Hiei be able to turn his kitsune over to the crow? Let's face it: Kurama is his kitsune right now. Even if the fox deludes himself, they have some bond going on. I think it's sweet, yet stinging at the same time.
I really look forward to your next update.
